This is PrinceBalto's take on Zira.
About her[]
Born Zola, Zira was once part of the Pridelands pride in the days of Ahadi and Uru. A known troublemaker since she was a cub, Ahadi and Uru very much disapproved of her hanging around Taka and the Lion Guard, and of Taka starting a romantic relationship with her.
This led to a fight between Taka and Ahadi that resulted in Taka getting a deep cut over his eye. Knowing that it would never heal, Taka took the name Scar, while Zola took the name Zira, meaning hate, as a sign of her hatred of Ahadi. Sometime after that, she got Scar to try to get his Guard murder his brother Mufasa, but they refused, leading to him using the Roar of the Elders to murder them. As a result, he lost the roar. However, Zira never gave up hope of them ruling. She bore Scar a sickly son named Nuka around the same time that Queen Sarabi bore Mufasa a healthy son named Simba.
She was the one who urged Scar to murder Mufasa. Of course, they succeeded. Zira was banished several years later after Simba defeated Scar. She bred with a new male, who sired Kovu and Vitani. In her madness, Zira told those around her that Scar had chosen Kovu to rule instead of Nuka. She remains a constant menace to the Pridelands, and to Simba's children, Kiara and Kion. Later on, when Kion was a teenager, she attacked, where she fell into a rushing river and drowned.
Trivia[]
- She loathes Kion and Fuli's romance, seeing it as a horrid violation of the way things are supposed to work.
- Her granddaughter Lilia, born after her death, has her eyes. This scared Kovu.
