Zazu is a male Blue Hornbill and a recurring character in the War of the Pridelands Trilogy, first appearing in Kion's Tale.
Background[]
Before he was even hatched, Zazu's mother, Zuzu, was found by Ahadi, the Lion King at that time, and appointed the new Royal Adviser. After Zuzu's death, that responsibility fell upon Zazu.
During the reign of Mufasa, Ahadi's eldest son, Zazu came to resent the presence of Scar, Mufasa's younger brother. He was also appointed as the baby-sitter of Simba, Mufasa's son, something he was somewhat keen on doing. After Mufasa's death, Scar became the new king and Imprisoned Zazu, forcing him to sing for him and even threatening to feed him to his Hyena Henchmen.
After Simba returned to the Pridelands and defeated Scar after a lengthy battle, the younger Lion became the new King and had two cubs, Kiara and Kion. During the new rule, Zazu regained his job as Royal adviser.

Zazu is confirmed to be in the Fanfic, along with Makuu, Muhungus, Thurston, and Tuca, a Scarlet Macaw.
