Zakia is a male hyena. He is the brother of Kucha and a member of her clan.
He is an antagonist in Legends of the Lion Guard.
Appearance[]
Zakia's pelt is light brown, while his chest and underbelly is a paler cream in color. His muzzle and mane are a dark brown-black, and his legs are light brown. His pelt is dotted with brown spots a huge patch that extends from his back to his shoulder. His eyes are red.
Personality[]
Zakia is fairly even-tempered and level-headed, unlikely to jump into a conflict without first thinking through the outcome of the situation. He is somewhat quiet by nature, rarely lending an opinion unless the matter is of great concern to the future of his clan. His natural instincts are cautionary, and he rarely takes to trusting strangers. Also unlike his leader, Zakia is more tolerant of his enemies than his fellow hyenas.

Legends of the Lion Guard: Protectors of the Pride Lands[]
An Unknown Threat[]
Zakia assists his leader in various attacks in the Pride Lands, but they are roared away by Kion each time. After being defeated and roared out of Mekundu Cliffs, the clan reassembles at Broken Rock. Zakia asks what they'll do now, and Kucha says they will get revenge.
Legends of the Lion Guard: Battle for the Pride Lands[]
Zakia and the rest of his clan meet with Ushari and other antagonists at Broken Rock, where it is revealed that they can all summon Scar back. Zakia questions how they'll get Kion to roar, and Cheezi mentions that his roars are strongest when his family are threatened, making Ushari decide to go after Nguruma. He orders Kucha's Clan to go to Lake Kiziwa, kidnap Nguruma, and bring back Makini's bakora staff, which they agree to do. There, he carefully listens to Kucha's instructions, ambushing the two. He drags Nguruma to the Outlands by his scruff, and Makini runs off in terror. Zakia returns to the entrance of the caldera, where he reports to Ushari that they have Nguruma and the Lion Guard should be here soon. Thrilled by the news, Ushari sends him to Kucha, and when he reaches the steam vents, arrives just in time to see Kucha fling Nguruma toward them. When the Guard and their friends arrive, Kucha orders Zakia and the rest of the clan to keep Nguruma occupied. However, Bunga bowls Zakia over, along with Beshte and Anga, who drive the hyenas back to Kucha. Soon, they are sent flying back when Kion unleashes the Roar in anger at Kucha.
When Scar commences his war on the Pride Lands, he orders all three hyena clans to conquer Chekundu Cliffs. They cross the border, which gets the attention of Zazu, and he tells Simba, who tells him to warn the Lion Guard. Upon finding out, Kion sends Bunga, Ono, and Anga to Chekundu Cliffs, but it soon becomes clear that they need help. Simba sends Mshale's Lion Guard to Chekundu Cliffs, and they charge into the battle. While Mshale rams into Kucha, Magoro kicks Zakia, sending him flying. Shortly afterward, Kucha's Clan attacks Kion's family at Pride Rock, and Zakia faces off with Nala, Kiara, and Vitani. The Lion Guard, Mhina, his siblings, and Azaad charge into battle, eventually forcing Kucha to call a retreat.
