Vitani is a former Outsider lioness. She is the daughter of Zira, older sister of Kovu, younger sister of Nuka, sister-in-law of Kiara and Kion, the mate of Kopa and mother of Safiya and Nuka II. She is the leader of the current Lion Guard in the Pride Lands.
Physical appearance[]
Vitani is a dark cream-colored lioness with a small tuft of hair on her head. She has purple eyes and fluffy ears, with a brown colored tail tip. Her ear rims are dark brown, and she has a pink hooked nose. She also has freckles. Her left shoulder bears the Mark of the Guard, which is crimson colored. Her chin is rather pointed, and her eyebrows are black.
Personality[]
She is portrayed as wary, diligent in her Lion Guard duties, somewhat reserved, and hard-to-get. She can be a loving mate and mother, but is also strict with her children when needed. She takes her duty as leader of the Lion Guard very seriously and challenges any intruder in the Pride Lands. Vitani is most at home amongst her family and close friends.
Trivia[]
- Formally, as a member of the Outsiders Vitani was vengeful, bent on revenge, and bloodthirsty, willing to obey all her mother's orders and go along with all of Zira's plans. However, she became the first to realize her mother was wrong, and encouraged all the other Outsiders to switch sides after she bravely did so.
- Although several of the fanfictions she appears in are whole or partially Lion Guard fanfics, Vitani's physical appearance is the same as it is in The Lion King II in her fanfiction appearances.
- Her adult voice in the fanfics (Meredith Scott Lynn) is the same as in TLK2, rather than Lacey Chabert, who portrays her in The Lion Guard and as a cub in TLK2. However, Lacey Chabert still voices her in some scenes.
- She hates to be gossiped about and will swiftly defend herself or her friends.
- Tani, the daughter of Spotty and Afua, is named after Vitani.
- She has a bit of a temper, but her friends and family help her be more tolerant.
