Legends of the Lion Guard: The Dark Prophecy[]
Inside the Tree of Life, Kenene shows Makini and Umhlaba a cave painting of Askari destroying a boulder with the Roar of the Elders. Amazed, she comments that it's spectacular. Later, Umhlaba listens to the tale of how the Tree of Life was discovered. Some time afterward, Umhlaba asks Kenene if she can see the Blazing Star with Nguruma and Makini, and she agrees to show her the fabled plant. A day later, Janna and Kenene plan on taking the group to the Blazing Star, and Umhlaba questions if it's far from the Tree, to which Kenene replies that she needs to wait and see. While on the way there, Makini thinks she can paint the Blazing Star for Rafiki when she gets back home, and turning around, Umhlaba expresses her desire to see it. After arriving at Pratibimba, she is ecstatic and holds Makini's palm, jumping around in joy. The two are in awe by the sight of Blazing Star and comment on its beauty. Nguruma notes that the flower would be perfect for someone, and curious, Umhlaba inquires if he has a crush. He confirms this, mentioning Mahuluti.
Umhlaba then walks over to a tree, attempting to pluck lichen off of a tree, and she asks Kenene if it can be used for healing. She shouts at her to settle down, and placing a palm on her shoulder, she states that lichen can be used for nests, but doesn't heal any form of ailments. When Makini is upset with herself for causing Nguruma to snap at her, Umhlaba suggests talking with him. Despite her doubts, she explains that getting on common grounds means communicating, and backing the young mandrill, Janna adds that Rani frequently comes to her for advice because of the big role she is going to play in her future. She urges Makini to go and find Nguruma, and thanking her and the others, Makini circles the peremeter of Pratibimba in search of him. That night, the group returns home, and Umhlaba describes the stars in the sky as being like diamonds. Nguruma reveals how his family took him stargazing, and intrigued, Umhlaba asks if he went stargazing with Mahuluti as well. Janna invites the children inside, offering to tell a story of how Askari put out a raging fire, which they are delighted at the sound of. Umhlaba exclaims that she hasn't heard this story, but has been shown the cave paintings by Kenene. As they listen to the story, Makini and Umhlaba are wide-eyed and excited. Once Janna finishes, the two are asleep along with Nguruma, which Kenene shows Janna, who decides to let them rest and retell the story another time.
The next day, Kenene, Umhlaba, and Nguruma are mentioned by Janna to have gone out foraging for herbs, but they later return. When Ullu brings Orji inside the den, Kenene emerges from behind the bramble clump and points her staff at him, protecting Makini and Umhlaba as the leopard explains why he is here. Shortly afterward, when members of the Night Pride rush inside the den, Kenene emerges from the brambles along with Makini and Umhlaba. After the battle with the predators ends and the boulder blocking the entrance to the Tree is destroyed, Kenene, Makini, and Umhlaba lead Kingiza and Rani inside to tend to their wounds. Weeks later, Umhlaba gathers outside the Tree of Life to bid farewell to the Lion Guard, Makini, and Nguruma.
