Ugonjwa is a lioness and a member of the Moyo Hodari Pride.
Appearance[]
Cub[]
Ugonjwa's fur is golden, a color similar to that of her father Hodari. It is thin and dull, and some tufts of fur have fallen out. Her underbelly and muzzle are a few shades paler. Her nose is brown and perpetually running. Her eyes are red like her mother's, but without any of Kubali's brightness. They are dull and sore-looking, pinkish around the edges. She is skinny and gaunt-looking, with a thin face and an unchanging weary expression. Her movements are all slow and stiff, as if each step pains her. She is much smaller than her sister and slouches like her mother.
Changes from Cubhood to Adulthood[]
As a cub, Ugonjwa's fur was dappled with the spots of cubhood, but these disappeared as she matured. She never gained much weight throughout her lifetime, but after falling in love with Ajali her appetite increased somewhat.
Personality[]
Cub[]
Ugonjwa continues to hold on despite the illness that had refused to leave her from the moment she was born, but the flame of determination that once blazed inside of her has dwindled to a spark. She secretly fears dying, but has hidden her inner terror with walls of silence and obedience. She does whatever her mother asked, ate when she was told, and sleeps when she is asked to. She never plays like most cubs, only watches the sound, healthy lions with wide, amazed eyes. Usually, the only animal that can bring a rare smile on her muzzle was her sister, whose good humor and encouraging jokes hardly ever fail to lift Ugonjwa from the world of shadows in her mind. Ugonjwa is pessimistic and associated all injuries or maladies with death.
Adult[]
As an adult, Ugonjwa is still morose and quiet. However, after she took on Ajali as a mate, she grew happier- cheerful, even. Though she does not act like it, she longs for company.
