It is about Timon feeling lonely as Pumbaa, Pat and Stan help him to find a date as a result of the gang getting dates as Timon must get along with the most loves he can get on a special day. - This is MarioFan65's second fanfiction to have "Love Hurts" on the title. The first being The Esequiel, Montay, Shippo & Josesito Show episode "Love Hurts" which spun-off from the Happy Feet fanon series Happy Peep.
- The part where Timon dance down the stairs resemble Arthur Fleck/Joker's dance in the stairs (titled Joker Stairs) from the 2019 movie Joker.
- Martha the warthog is named after Aunt Martha from the Pat and Stan series.
- Coincidentally since warthogs are pigs, Martha is also a pig which means, they are two pig characters in the story that are named "Martha".
- Aside from flashbacks and mentions, this is the first Lion King crossover with Timon and Pumbaa that doesn't feature an appearance from Simba or Nala.
