Note: everything in this script is outdated to the point where dividing lines aren't enough so here's one from beginning to end lmfao
On a peaceful day in the Pride Lands, the Lion Guard was doing a patrol in Urembo Meadows.
“It's been peaceful since Kupatana, when we drove Reth and his pride out of the Pride Lands.” Beshte said.
“You're right. Let's hope it lasts.” Kion said.
Suddenly, Nguruma came up to them, followed closely by Amira.
“Did you hear the news?” Nguruma asked.
“Grandpa just told us. The Pride Lands Games are happening tomorrow.” Amira said.
Kion's expression brightened.
“I remember that. We haven't had it since we were little.” Kion said.
“Dad wants to bring it back, now that we have the alliance with the Tumaini Pride and the Night Pride.” Nguruma said.
“The games will start at Lake Shangaza. Each kingdom gets a team. You're the team leader for the Pride Lands, Kion.” Amira said.
“Dad sent us to find you and bring you back to Pride Rock. He wants to tell the pride more about the games.” Nguruma said.
“Okay.” Kion said.
He led the way back to Pride Rock.
When they arrived, they saw Simba, Nala, Kiara, and Kovu settled outside the den. The rest of the pride was assembled behind them.
Kion bounded forward, and stretched to nuzzle Simba's cheek.
“Hi Dad.” Kion said.
Simba's expression softened.
“Hi Kion.” Simba said.
“Nguruma said you wanted to tell us about the Pride Lands Games.” Kion said.
“That's right.” Simba said.
He cleared his throat.
“Many seasons ago, the Pride Lands Games was established, as a chance to bring together animals from different kingdoms, for a series of friendly challenges.” Simba said.
He glanced at Kion.
“The Pride Lands team will be comprised of the Lion Guard, and Vuai.” Simba said.
“What other teams will there be?” Kion asked.
“The Back Lands, Tree of Life, Grass Walls, South Lands, and Leopon Plains will also be competing.” Simba said.
Kion's expression brightened.
“Mhina's coming?” Kion asked.
Simba chuckled.
“Yes, Mhina and his family are coming.” Simba said.
“Tell us more about the games, Dad.” Kion said eagerly.
Simba's expression softened.
“Each team will compete in a series of five challenges, and the team that wins the games will each receive an offering of flowers or fruit.” Simba said.
Beside him, Nala cleared her throat.
“The Tree of Life delegation is arriving today, and the others will arrive tomorrow.” Nala said.
“Who's on the Tree of Life team?” Kion asked.
“Rani, Baliyo, Aminia, Danyal, Ullu, and Kenene.” Simba said.
He glanced up as Zazu approached.
“What is it, Zazu?” Simba asked.
“The animals from the Tree of Life have arrived, Simba. They are waiting at the watering hole border.” Zazu said.
“Thank you, Zazu.” Simba said.
He glanced at Kion.
“Will you and the Guard go bring them to Pride Rock, please?” Simba asked.
“Sure, Dad. We can do that.” Kion said.
He glanced at Beshte, Bunga, Ono, and Fuli.
“Okay, Lion Guard. Let's go.” Kion said.
Nguruma cleared his throat.
“Can I go too, Dad?” Nguruma asked.
Simba nodded.
“Yes, Nguruma. You can go.” Simba said.
He watched as Kion led the Guard and Nguruma away.
As the Lion Guard and Nguruma headed towards the Water Hole, Makini bounded up to them.
“Hey, guys! Did you hear the news?” Makini asked.
Kion nodded.
“The Pride Lands Games are happening tomorrow. We're on the way to bring the Tree of Life delegation to Pride Rock.” Kion said.
“Ooh, can I go with you? To see Kenene?” Makini asked eagerly.
“Sure, Makini. You can come.” Kion said.
“Did you hear that Kenene's on the Tree of Life team?” Bunga asked.
Makini nodded.
“I'm so excited for her.” Makini said brightly.
When they arrived at the Water Hole, Makini immediately bounded forward to hug Kenene.
“I'm so glad you're here. I can't wait for the games.” Makini said brightly.
Kenene's expression softened.
“I'm glad I'm here too, sis.” Kenene said warmly.
Jivin glanced up as Kion, Nguruma, and the Lion Guard approached.
“Did Simba send you to bring us to Pride Rock?” Jivin asked.
Kion nodded.
“The other delegations are arriving tomorrow for the games. Follow me.” Kion said.
“Okay, Kion.” Jivin said.
He, Maya, Janna, Rani, Baliyo, Jivin, Maya, Aminia, Danyal, Ullu, Surak, Nirmala, Ãnanda, Sâhasí, and Kenene began to follow Kion, the Lion Guard, Nguruma, and Makini towards Pride Rock.
When they arrived, Kion glanced behind him.
“Follow me, I'll take you to my parents.” Kion said.
He led the way towards the peak.
Simba, Nala, Kovu, Kiara, Vuai, Rafiki, Zazu, Fikiri, Kitendo, Xolani, Biba, Gula, Vitani, Na'Zyia, Kohana, and Ayana were waiting outside the den. The rest of the pride was assembled behind them.
“Mom, Dad. I've brought the Tree of Life delegation to greet you.” Kion said.
Behind him, Makini had pulled Kenene over to Fikiri, Kitendo, Rafiki, Xolani, and Biba.
Simba cleared his throat.
“We're very pleased to have you here, to compete in the Pride Lands Games.” Simba said.
“It's an honor to be here, in the Pride Lands.” Jivin said.
“You, and your pride will be given shelter here tonight, the games will start tomorrow, once the other delegations have arrived.” Simba said.
“Thank you, your majesty.” Jivin said.
Kion and Rani exchanged a glance.
“Are you excited for the games?” Kion asked.
Rani nodded.
“I'm the team leader for the Tree of Life team. Are you the team leader for the Pride Lands team?” Rani answered.
Kion nodded.
“The rest of the Guard, and Vuai are on my team.” Kion said.
Behind him, Makini was chattering excitingly to Fikiri and Kitendo.
“Kenene's on the Tree of Life team. I'm so excited to watch her compete.” Makini said brightly.
“We're excited too.” Kitendo said warmly.
“We're looking forward to the games tomorrow.” Fikiri added.
“As am I, it will be wonderful to see Jelani, Dalila, and Karibu.” Rafiki said.
Simba cleared his throat.
“We have an early start tomorrow. We should all go get some rest.” Simba said.
Jivin nodded.
“Thank you for giving my pride shelter at Pride Rock tonight.” Jivin said.
“Of course.” Simba said.
Behind Jivin, Makini hugged Kenene tightly.
“Will you come home with us?” Makini asked.
Kenene nodded.
She and Makini watched as Simba led the prides into the den.
The next morning, the Lion Guard assembled in the Lair.
“Well, today's the day of the games.” Fuli said.
“Yeah, are you all ready?” Kion asked.
Beshte, Bunga, Ono, and Fuli nodded.
Kion glanced up as Kiara appeared at the entrance to the Lair.
“Daddy needs you. The delegations from the other kingdoms have arrived. He's ready to announce the start of the games.” Kiara said.
Kion's expression brightened.
“Mhina's here?” Kion asked excitedly.
Kiara chuckled.
“Yes, Mhina and his family are here.” Kiara said.
Kion glanced at Beshte, Bunga, Ono, and Fuli.
“Let's go, guys.” Kion said.
“Everyone's at Mizimu Grove.” Kiara said.
Kion led the way out of the Lair, and they headed towards Mizimu Grove.
“Who's on the Leopon Plains team?” Kion asked.
“Mhina, Tatu, Kopa, Chausiku, Jiwe, and Tojo. Kicheko's on the Grass Walls team.” Kiara said.
When they arrived at Mizimu Grove, Kion immediately bounded up to Mhina.
“Hi Mhina.” Kion said brightly.
“Hi Kion.” Mhina said.
From the ledge, Simba cleared his throat.
“I'm so pleased to welcome you all to the Pride Lands today. These games were established to bring together animals of all species for the chance to compete for the honor of their kingdoms.” Simba said.
Rafiki stepped forward, and cleared his throat.
“Each team will compete in five challenges. The team that comes in first in each challenge will be declared the winner of the games.” Rafiki said.
“The first event is a swimming relay. It will take place at Lake Shangaza.” Simba said.
He led the way to Lake Shangaza.
When they arrived, they saw that a large crowd of Pride Landers had gathered.
“All right, everyone. The first event of the Pride Lands Games is about to begin.” Simba said.
Beside him, Rafiki cleared his throat.
“Each team must swim across Lake Shangaza as fast as they can.“ Rafiki said.
“If a team member is gently bitten by a crocodile, they must start over. The next team member goes when handed a twig.” Simba added.
He glanced at Kion, the Lion Guard, and Vuai.
“The Pride Lands team will go first.” Simba said.
Rafiki waved his staff.
“Let the Pride Lands Games begin!” Rafiki said loudly.
Kion glanced at Beshte.
“You're first, good luck, Beshte.” Kion said.
“Thanks, Kion.” Beshte said.
He leapt into the water, and began to swim.
As Beshte swam, he could hear the sounds of Kopa, Magoro, Tiifu, Aminia, and Marali swimming behind him.
In the crowd, Kiara and Nala exchanged a glance. Simba and Gula had helped Ayana climb onto Simba's shoulders, so she could have a clear view.
Beside Kiara, Kion was cheering loudly.
Suddenly, Beshte felt a crocodile gently bite his foreleg.
“Well, looks like I'm starting over.” Beshte said.
“Serves you right.” Magoro said, as he passed Beshte.
“You've got this, Beshte!” Kion called.
When Beshte reached the lakeshore, he turned around, and began to swim.
He watched as Aminia and Marali passed him.
“I'm behind. I have to win this.” Beshte said.
In the crowd, Kiazi had climbed onto Basi's back, so she could see clearly. She and Salehe were both cheering loudly, along with Basi.
Beshte pushed forward, and swam past Aminia.
When he reached the grassy lakeshore, Beshte grabbed a stick, and waded back into the water.
At this point, Kopa, Magoro, Tiifu, Aminia, and Marali had each already grabbed sticks, and made it back to the other side.
Beshte reached the lakeshore, and passed the stick to Fuli.
“Sorry, Kion. I tried my best.” Beshte said.
Kion's expression softened.
“It's okay. Beshte.” Kion said gently.
Beside him, Fuli recoiled at the sight of the water.
“Do I have to go in? Cheetahs and water don't get along.” Fuli said grumpily.
“Come on, Fuli. The water's fine.” Beshte said.
“Easy for you to say, you're a hippo.” Fuli said.
Kion cleared his throat pointedly.
“The next team members have already gone in. You've got this, Fuli.” Kion said.
“Oh, all right. But if I catch whitecough, it's on you.” Fuli muttered, as she waded into the water.
As Fuli swam, she concentrated on the cheers in the crowd, identifying her siblings' and Ayana's among them.
She made it to the grassy lakeshore, shaking water from her pelt, grasped a stick, and hesitating, plunged back into the water.
“I really hate water.” Fuli muttered.
“Then you're not a good candidate for this challenge.” Ishi said, as he passed.
“I'm faster than everyone here on land.” Fuli muttered darkly.
By the time Fuli reached the lakeshore, Ishi, Tatu, Baliyo, and Kicheko had already arrived, and had passed their sticks to the next team members.
Zuri came up behind Fuli, shivering, and shaking water from her pelt.
“I'm not a fan of water either, Fuli.” Zuri said.
Fuli nodded, and passed the stick to Bunga.
“This'll be UnBungalievable!” Bunga said excitedly.
He waded into the water, and dived forward.
In the crowd, Timon and Pumbaa exchanged a glance.
“That's our boy.” Timon said.
“You can do this, Bunga!” Pumbaa called.
Bunga swam faster, passing Muujiza, Jelani, Danyal, Tojo, and Okereke.
“This'll be easy.” Bunga said.
He made it to the grassy lakeshore, before the others, grasped a stick, and dived back into the water.
In the crowd, Kion and Fuli exchanged a glance.
“I think he's going to come in first this time.” Kion said.
“Yeah. He's a better swimmer than I am.” Fuli said.
From the grassy lakeshore, Okereke scowled as he watched Bunga swim towards the crowd of animals.
“The Back Lands cannot lose to a honey badger.” Okereke growled, as he dived into the the water.
When Okereke caught up to Bunga, he shoved Bunga back roughly, sending him flying towards a crocodile, who bit him on the leg.
“Ha! you'll have to start over now!” Okereke said.
He didn't notice Makuu coming up behind him.
“That was very poor sportsmanship. I once went down that path.” Makuu said, as he bit Okereke's leg.
“Oh bother. Now I have to start over too.” Okereke said.
“Wait until Bunga's gotten a head start before you start over. Sportsmanship like that won't win you the Pride Lands Games.” Makuu said.
Okereke sighed.
He watched as Bunga swam to the grassy lakeshore, and turned around.
“All right, you can start over now. King Simba and King Chifu will both be informed of what has happened.” Makuu said.
“Serves the arrogant honey badger right.” Okereke answered.
“Enough. You've already cost the Back Lands the chance to win the games. Now go.” Makuu said.
Okereke began to swim towards the grassy lakeshore.
By this point, Bunga had already made it to the lakeshore, along with Muujiza, Danyal, Tojo, and Jelani.
“Great work, Bunga.” Kion said, as Bunga passed the stick to Ono.
“Wait, I'm going next? But birds don't swim.” Ono said.
“It's okay, Ono. You can do this.” Kion said.
“We have faith in you.” Fuli added.
“All right.” Ono said.
Suddenly, Okereke came up, shaking water from his pelt.
“I came in last, to a honey badger.” Okereke muttered.
Behind him, Makuu cleared his throat.
“Both kings will be informed after the games of what you've done.” Makuu said.
Ono carefully waded into the water, shivering as it soaked his wings.
“I think I'm with Fuli. Water isn't my friend either.” Ono said quietly.
Behind him, Ullu was struggling to stay above the water, and coughing loudly.
Ono grimaced as Chausiku, Dalila, Soyinka, and Kuuma passed him.
“I'm probably not going to win this challenge.” Ono said.
When he reached the grassy lakeshore, he grasped a stick, and shook the water from his wings.
Ullu came up behind him, coughing, and shaking water from her wings.
“Owls and water don't mix.” Ullu said.
“I hear you.” Ono said.
He waded back into the water, and began to wade towards the lakeshore.
At this point, Chausiku, Dalila, Soyinka, and Kuuma had reached the lakeshore, and passed their sticks to the next team members.
When Ono reached the lakeshore, he shook the water from his wings, and passed the stick to Vuai.
“You did great, Ono. We're so proud of you.” Kion said warmly.
“Thanks, Kion.” Ono said.
Ullu came up behind him, coughing loudly.
“Are you okay, Ullu?” Rani asked.
Ullu nodded, as she passed the stick to Kenene.
“Good luck, Vuai.” Kion said.
“Thanks, Kion.” Vuai said.
Behind them, Makini was hugging Kenene tightly.
“Good luck, sis.” Makini said.
“Thanks, Makini.” Kenene said, as she waded into the water.
Vuai waded into the water, and began to swim towards the grassy lakeshore.
“I'm the best swimmer in my family. I'll come in first.” Vuai said.
He pushed forward, and swam past Mahuluti, Kenene, Ganda, Jiwe, and Karibu.
In the crowd, Simba and Nala exchanged a glance.
“Vuai is doing excellent.” Simba said.
“Yes, he is.” Nala said.
Vuai reached the grassy lakeshore, grasped a stick, and plunged back into the water.
“I'm almost there. I can definitely win this.” Vuai said.
He reached the grassy lakeshore, Kenene, Ganda, Jiwe, Mahuluti, and Karibu coming up behind him, and passed his stick to Kion.
“Nice work, Vuai.” Kion said.
“Thanks, Kion.” Vuai said.
Behind them, Makini ran forward to hug Kenene.
“I'm so proud of you.” Makini said.
“Thanks, Makini.” Kenene said.
Kion waded into the water, and began to swim towards the grassy lakeshore.
He could hear the sounds of Mhina, Rani, Mshale, Kabila, and Pwani swimming behind him.
In the crowd, Kiara exchanged a glance with Simba and Nala.
In front of them, Kohana, Jasmin, and Frerin were cheering loudly.
When Kion reached the grassy lakeshore, he turned around, and waded back into the water.
Mshale, Kabila, and Pwani had already arrived back at the lakeshore, and were shaking water from their pelts.
Kion swam back to the lakeshore, and watched as Mhina and Rani came up behind him.
Simba stepped forward, and cleared his throat.
“The swimming challenge has concluded. Well done to all the participants.” Simba said.
Rafiki, Nala, and Kiara stepped forward, each were holding flowers and fruit.
“All right. The first prize goes to the Pride Lands team.” Simba said.
Vuai stepped forward, and Nala gave him a calibrachoa flower.
“Second prize goes to the Tree of Life team.” Simba said.
Rani stepped forward, and Kiara gave her a baobab fruit.
“Third prize goes to the Leopon Plains team.” Simba said.
Jiwe stepped forward, and Rafiki gave him a titiki melon.
Simba cleared his throat.
“The next event is the running relay. It will take place in Embamba Canyon.” Simba said.
He began to lead the way to Embamba Canyon.
When they arrived, Rafiki stepped forward, and cleared his throat.
“For the running relay, each contestant must run to the end of Embamba Canyon and back. They must pass a twig to the next team member to continue the relay.” Rafiki said.
“Rocks will be present along the path.” Simba said.
Kion and Beshte exchanged a glance.
“You're first, Beshte. Good luck.” Kion said.
“Thanks, Kion.” Beshte said.
He, Kopa, Magoro, Tiifu, Aminia, and Marali took their places at the entrance of Embamba Canyon.
“Go!” Rafiki said loudly.
Beshte, Kopa, Magoro, Tiifu, Aminia, and Marali began to run towards the end of Embamba Canyon.
When Beshte reached the end of Embamba Canyon, he grasped a twig, and began to run back towards the crowd of animals.
When he arrived, he saw that Magoro, Tiifu, and Aminia had already reached the crowd, and passed their twigs to the next team members.
“Great job, Beshte.” Kion said.
“Thanks, Kion.” Beshte said, as Beshte passed Fuli the twig.

“Go!” Rafiki called.

Fuli reached the end of Embamba Canyon, grasped a twig, and began to run back towards the crowd of animals.

He pushed forward, passing Tojo and Jelani.
Behind him, Okereke scowled as he watched Bunga approach the end of Embamba Canyon.
“That little honey badger will pay for costing the Back Lands the chance to win the games.” Okereke said.
He pushed forward, and passed Danyal.
When Okereke caught up to Bunga, he kicked a stone into Bunga's path, causing Bunga to stumble and trip.
“Ha! You can't possibly win now.” Okereke said.
Bunga got up, and began to run again.

“That is not for you to decide.” Makuu said.

“Okereke! Stop! You're hurting him.” Simba ordered.
Okereke ignored him, and continued tugging on Bunga's leg. Bunga was groaning in pain, and struggling to free himself.
Swiftly, Sarabi lunged forward, pulling Okereke off of Bunga. Kenene, Kumbutana, Rafiki, and Makini rushed towards Bunga, carrying bindweed, cobwebs, moss, and comfrey roots. Timon and Pumbaa rushed from the crowd to join them.
As Kenene, Kumbutana, Rafiki, and Makini treated Bunga, Simba, Nala, Chifu, Wimbo, and Mshale surrounded Okereke.
“Explain yourself, Okereke. Now.” Chifu said.
Okereke chuckled darkly.
“Served the little honey badger right.” Okereke said.
Suddenly, Makuu stepped out of the crowd, and cleared his throat.
“If I may speak, your majesties. I can shed some light on this situation.” Makuu said.
“Of course, Makuu. Go ahead.” Simba said.
“Throughout the games, Okereke has taken every opportunity to sabotage Bunga's efforts. In the swimming relay, he deliberately pushed Bunga into the path of one of my crocodiles, and in the running relay, he threw a stone into Bunga's path. And as you've seen, he's just deliberately injured Bunga.” Makuu said.
Chifu's expression hardened as he glared at Okereke.
“Is this true? Have you been sabotaging Bunga, and destroying the spirit of the games?” Chifu asked.
“I've been ensuring that the Back Lands isn't defeated by a honey badger.” Okereke said smugly.
By this time, Kion had come up to stand beside Simba, after checking on Bunga.
Mshale glanced at Simba.
“I'm sorry, King Simba. I knew nothing of what Okereke was doing.” Mshale said.
“It's all right, Mshale. You are not to blame.” Simba said.
His expression hardened as he glanced at Okereke.
“Due to the sheer lack of sportsmanship shown by one of its own team members, it seems I have no other option but to disqualify the Back Lands from the Pride Lands Games.” Simba said.
He glanced at Chifu and Wimbo.
“I defer to the two of you to oversee further punishment, as Okereke is your subject.” Simba said.
“Thank you, Simba.” Chifu said.
Beside him, Mshale cleared his throat.
“Okereke is on my Lion Guard, so I'll be deciding what his punishment is.” Mshale said.
“All right, son, then the choice is yours.” Chifu said.
Mshale's expression hardened as he glanced at Okereke.
“For the next three days, you are suspended from all Lion Guard duties, including patrols. You are not to leave Mirihi Forest.” Mshale said.
“Effective as soon as we return to the Back Lands.” Chifu said.
Awkwardly, Kion cleared his throat.
“I think the winner of the games should be announced tomorrow, Dad. Everyone needs to rest.” Kion said.
“You're right, son. It is getting late.” Simba said.
He glanced at the assembled animals, and cleared his throat.
“The Pride Lands Games has concluded. Each delegation will be given shelter within the Pride Lands tonight.” Simba said.
He glanced at Nala and Kiara.
“The Tree of Life and Leopon Plains delegations will be given shelter at Pride Rock, with my family.” Simba said.

From the crowd, Jasiri stepped forward, and cleared her throat.
“My mother has agreed to offer shelter to the South Landers, Grass Walls residents, and Back Landers in Chakula Plains.” Jasiri said.
“Thank you, Jasiri.” Simba said.
He glanced at the assembled animals.
“Everyone go and get some rest. We will announce the winner of the games in the morning.” Simba said.
He began to lead the prides towards Pride Rock.
When they arrived, Kion glanced at Simba.
“Can Rani, Baliyo, Nguruma, Mhina, Tatu, Kopa, Kicheko, and I sleep in the Lair tonight?” Kion asked.

“Of course. Goodnight, son.” Simba said.
“Goodnight, Dad.” Kion said.
He led Rani, Baliyo, Nguruma, Mhina, Tatu, Kopa, and Kicheko into the lair, and they settled down.
The next morning, Simba's pride, the Lion Guard, the delegations from the kingdoms, and the Pride Landers gathered at Pride Rock.
Simba stepped forward, and cleared his throat.
“Despite the games abruptly ending, before the other contestants could take their turns in the wrestling challenge, a winner still must be chosen.” Simba said.
He glanced behind him at the assembled teams.
“The winner of the Pride Lands Games is the Leopon Plains team.” Simba said loudly.
As the animals cheered, Ajani stepped forward.
“We are extremely pleased to have been chosen as the winners of the games.” Ajani said.
Kohana stepped forward, and gave Ajani a baobab fruit.
Behind them, Kion had approached Mhina.
“Congratulations, Mhina. I'm so glad you've won.” Kion said.

Trivia[]
- Both Team Pride Lands and Team Leopon Plains are known to win the events every year.
- In the original version...
- The events were the Running and Flying Relay, Cave Race, Ultimate Smack Down, Back Lands Triathlon, and Swimming, but these were changed to prevent continuity errors.
- There was a Team Outlands that was to compete and sabotage the event, but they were dropped in favor of other teams from other locations.
- Team Back Lands consisted of a cougar named Jabari, Kusi (then named Kasi), Angalifu, and a lioness named Jayei. They were dropped to prevent continuity errors and were replaced by the rest of Moyo's (now Mshale's) Lion Guard.
- Kasi and Fuli got into a fight that was broken up by Sarabi, but this was taken out when the story was updated, mostly in part to Kasi (now Kusi) being dropped.
