Chapter 7 is the seventh chapter of The Lion King VI: The Great Pride Migration by MarioFan65.
This chapter is called "The Arrival of a Place".
Plot[]
(Back with the lions, the lions continue their journey as they walk through the green fields and walking through a plain on their way to a secret area)
- Kion: *follow the group* Are we there yet dad?
- Simba: We're almost there, Kion.
- Kion: We've been walking for very long.
- Kiongozi: Journeys are not that easy to finish. You always have to keep on moving to find what is put on the map.
- Kiara: We went by the mountains and reach by paradise earlier.
- Kama: Paradise was fun.
- Hatima: Wish we can go there again.
- Nzuri: *see some sharp rocks* The rocks look sharp. I can tell where all of this is leading to.
- Matumaini: I feel like we're close to where we're going.
- Simba: *see more lion footprints* I found the clues.
- Nala: What clues?
- Simba: Kiongozi, you see these?
- Kiongozi: I can't believe it. Guys, keep going. There is a way.
- Simba: Where are we heading?
- Nala: Is there anything to say?
- Kiongozi: The hole. We're close.
- Kion: A hole? What hole?
- Kiongozi: The place we're going to is shaped as a hole.
- Kiara: How will it fit everyone in?
- Kiongozi: It's as big as a volcano. You'll be amazed what is in there.
- Nzuri: Keep walking. We're surrounded by a big hole.
- Matumaini: *he and everyone continue walking* We're on the go.
- Kion: Follow the parents.
- Kiara: Where are they headed?
- Simba: *run with everyone* Closer.
- Nala: Any further.
- Sarabi: Almost there.
- Sarafina: You got it.
- Kiongozi: Slow down! I can clearly see where the path is taking us.
- Simba: Oh, you'll be amazed what we just found right now!
(The lions have arrived at a enormous crater, where hundreds and hundreds of lions have gathered in one big place through areas full of forests and ponds)
- Nzuri: And we made it.
- Matumaini: Wow. Look at this.
- Simba: It's like a kingdom governed by a ruler.
- Nala: It does look like a big hole. *to Kiongozi* You're absolutely right about that.
- Kion: Look like everyone is there.
- Kiara: All for one day.
- Simba: That's the beauty of it. For every pride to come to discuss about our future for rehearsals.
- Kion: I've never seen this place before. It look like a big hole where a huge pond would fill up some water in the water season.
- Kiara: Duh. We'll be in the dry season in few months.
- Simba: Let's take a look at this place.
- Kiongozi: Come along.
(The lions explore the big crater as the other lions catch up with the other prides as some are training on hunting while some sip some water as well laying down on the rocks)
- Kion: *look around* They're all here. We're all here. It's like... we never seen them before.
- Kiara: They're people. Individuals you never met.
- Kama: Like strangers.
- Hatima: Not everyone is a outsider you know.
- Kion: You don't know if everyone is a outsider. Our father told us about the dangerous things the outsiders would do.
- Kiara: One day, a lioness almost hurt our father over our uncle's death. The rest is history.
- Kama: We're like on a big hole. What could make this big hole happen?
- Hatima: It's a land. That's what we're stepping on.
- Tiifu: We came all this way to see this.
- Zuri: That is like the biggest oasis I've ever seen.
- Simba: So many lions.
- Nzuri: We're like the last ones to get here.
- Nala: Not all. We were followed by families.
- Matumaini: I wonder why they're here for.
- Kiongozi: I've got a announcement to make. You'll wait here. *walk up toward a peak*
- Sarabi: What is he up to?
- Sarafina: He got plans.
- Kiongozi: Greetings. All lion families! Thank you all for coming. It's that time of season again where we all gather around and unite all the prides at one. We're all here for one big meeting. Thank you all lion prides for coming. It been a long day for us. As we're here, we have a lot of plans on how to protect the pride from predators and how our future balance within tasks and goals.
- Simba: Look within the spirits.
- Nzuri: And respect the Circle of Life.
- Kiongozi: So many answers. Our ancestors always come here for generations and discuss a future on what will hold our kingdoms. We're not gonna worry about all the bad ones that are uninvited due to what our competitors are planning up. *sense the Outsiders from the Outlands growling and roaring in the mounds as well the Asis Pride watching over the rocks around the desert* I feared bad. Sensing through darkness in our minds. But, there is no need to worry about what the uninvited prides are dealing with right now. We have big warned from the elders up in the skies that something big is about to happen. *shock everyone*
- Kion: Something... big?
- Kiara: Does it has something to do with the Roar of the Elders?
- Simba: No no. Kiongozi is warning us. What could this means is... what if we're running out of magic in the Pride Lands.
- Kion: *sense and get a dream of the sky changing and the world falling apart* The dream! That's what happening... from my dream!
- Kiara: All of this we saw in a nightmare is about to become real?
- Kion: That's what we dreamt the other day. It's all gonna happen... in a day or two.
- Kama: We gotta prepare.
- Hatima: What if we don't survive this.
- Nzuri: Don't worry Hatima. The adults will handle this.
- Kiongozi: The sky will change. We better prepare. By the sunrise, the world will be twisted. All of us lions will have to do to balance our world and save the continent from what we all fear of, fear!
- Nala: Does he mean the eclipse.
- Sarabi: What is he talking about?
- Sarafina: I hope he doesn't trick us, like it happen with Scar when he took over the Pride Lands.
- Kiongozi: When the eclipse about to rise, we get out of the hole and stand still where the sun and moon moves and we'll roar to prevent the end of the world from happening.
- Simba: We know what to do.
- Nala: Kion's roar can help too.
- Kion: The Roar of the Elders will work on the eclipse, trust me.
- Kiongozi: The Roar of the Elders you say? Aren't you referring to the Great Kings of the Past every father of a cub has always been talking about?
- Kion: When I first used the roar out of anger, the lions that came from the clouds are the elders from the past. I use it on enemies like the hyenas. Maybe we can use it on the sky too to prevent the falling of the world.
- Kiongozi: Listen kid. That mission is gonna be real serious. That roar of yours probably won't help stop the eclipse. Also, the world is gonna turn to dark in two days. You better prepare what's coming.
- Kion: But I can help. Will you trust me?
- Kiongozi: I'm sorry. You cubs may have to stay with the parents while the adults can handle this.
- Kion: But, why?
- Nala: Don't worry Kion. We got a bunch of strong guys on our pride that will help.
- Sarabi: Hope my roar works properly. I haven't roar ever since my son became king.
- Kiongozi: As we are all prepared, our next meeting will occur in few hours. Do what you have to do. Train, chill and have fun. Enjoy.
- Simba: That's our Kiongozi here.
- Nzuri: He always lead us like a king.
- Matumaini: Um, he is actually a king of his own pride.
- Nala: We're kings and queens too.
- Simba: We are. Also, we are one.
- Kion: You know what's cooking.
- Kiara: Wanna go play?
- Kion: Oh sure. Come on.
- Kama: I wanna join.
- Hatima: Me too.
- Simba: Kids, make sure you don't get close to those traps while you play.
- Kion: We know father.
- Kiara: We'll play safe.
- Simba: Anyways, enjoy.
- Nala: Have fun.
- Kion: Let's go.
- Kiara: Alright.
- Nzuri: Can't wait for the big meeting.
- Matumaini: Me too.
(Back at the Pride Lands in Rafiki's tree, Zazu is seen flying and arrive at the tree to talk to Rafiki)
- Zazu: Rafiki, I'm here.
- Rafiki: Hey Zazu. How the Pride Lands doing?
- Zazu: The Pride Lands is in good shape. The elephants are migrating with the herds, the antelopes found some peace with the oxes and the flamingos are throwing a party in the pond as always.
- Rafiki: *chuckles* Ha ha ha. I heard Simba and his pride are off the Pride Lands and heading to where they are.
- Zazu: Where are they headed?
- Rafiki: They are now heading to a crater where the lion prides are suppose to meet up.
- Zazu: In that big hole?
- Rafiki: Yes. They're all gonna have a meeting there. *paint the lions on the crater* All the lion prides has been united and will discuss about the future of the kingdoms. Destiny will come to their will soon and Simba is there.
- Zazu: We'll see about that.
- Rafiki: Brace yourselves for what gonna come next.
(Back at the big crater, Kion, Kiara and their friends are playing in the field as they play some tag together)
- Kion: Tag!
- Kiara: You're it!
- Kion: *chase the cubs* Race ya to the end.
- Kiara: I'm gonna get you.
- Kama: Who wanna play tag?
- Hatima: I do!
- ???: *hide on a lion standing, spying on Kion and his friends* Mmm.
- Kion: I'll tag, you go it.
- Kiara: You mean, you're the one tagging us when racing by?
- Kion: Yeah. What I mean, when I'm the one tagging, you run away from me like you're all getting chased by bees.
- Kama: Oh. I see what you mean.
- Hatima: You can't catch us.
- Kion: Time to tag. Race back at ya! *chase the cubs*
- Kiara: Ah!
- Kama: Come get back!
- Hatima: You can't get me!
- Kion: Who's the number one fastest racer of all?
- Kiara: You are!
- Kama: Racing by my size, didn't you?
- Hatima: No one is gonna beat my run record.
- Kion: You'll never know. *get tripped by a lion cub* Ah!
- ???: *laugh* Weirdo.
- Kion: Gosh, what was that?
- Kiara: Kion, are you afraid to catch us?
- ???: Watch where you're going!
- Kion: You tripped me!
- ???: I did not.
- Kiara: You tripped my brother. Say sorry.
- ???: I didn't.
- Kama: I saw you tripping over Kion with your leg.
- Hatima: You made that mistake first. Are you going to say sorry?
- ???: Oh yeah? Wanna do something about it?! Then get lost!
- Kion: I'm not leaving until you apologize.
- ???: Yeah, but. Where are you manners?
- Kion: Where's yours?
- ???: Like, who cares.
- Adult Lion: *show up* What is going on here? Pekee, what happen?
- Pekee: That lion roared at me?
- Kion: What? I didn't do anything. He tripped me first.
- Kiara: We were playing tag.
- Adult Lion: Who did?
- Pekee: Him.
- Kion: No. He did it on purpose.
- Kama: What is your problem?
- Hatima: He's not gonna say sorry.
- Adult Lion: Cubs, what's the problem here?
- Kion: When me, my sister and our friends were playing, this guy tripped him.
- Pekee: It wasn't me.
- Adult Lion: Pekee, tell the truth.
- Pekee: *scoffs* Alright. I tripped him.
- Adult Lion: What do you say?
- Pekee: Sorry.
- Kion: Don't do that again.
- Adult Lion: Go play somewhere else before you trip on someone.
- Pekee: Fine. At least, you're not the boss of me. *walks away*
- Kion: *growls* If he get near us again, I'll roar him with the Roar of the-
- Kiara: *stop Kion* Kion, no. He's just a cub, like us.
- Kion: He look nothing, but trouble. The Pride Lands never had a bully in our pride before for all these seasons.
- Adult Lion: Pekee always like to mess and get things started. He lost his family in a flood when he was a cub which was... very rough for him to act like a bully.
- Kion: That's sad. My father was a loner for all these years when a family of ours took over my pride with darkness.
- Adult Lion: That's a bit of a long. Are you guys okay? No permanent damage?
- Kion: *laugh* I'm fine.
- Kiara: We're all good.
- Kama: No need to worry.
- Hatima: You can thank us.
- Adult Lion: Anyways, I'm Mlezi.
- Kion: Kion.
- Kiara: Kiara.
- Kama: Kama.
- Hatima: And Hatima.
- Mlezi: *to Kion* Your name sounds nice. Your name means lion which means, we are lions.
- Kion: Proud to be strong, brave and trustful.
- Kiara: It's what we are.
- Kama: Lions are known for ruling on rocks and not on jungles.
- Hatima: Only a cheetah rule a jungle like tigers.
- Simba: *show up with the adults* Cubs, we were looking all over for you. There's a fruit bar going on, so if anyone want some fruits, feel free to grab some.
- Kion: Hey dad. Tagging has been pretty fun.
- Simba: I just wanted to make sure that you're all okay. *see Mlezi* Oh my.
- Mlezi: Simba?
- Simba: Mlezi!
- Nala: I can't believe it's you.
- Nzuri: That's what the whole continent has been talking about.
- Kion: What's going on?
- Simba: Cubs, I want you all to meet Mlezi, the bravest guardian who used to guard the Pride Lands when Mufasa was king.
- Mlezi: Hi.
- Kion: *gasp* No. It cannot be.
- Kiara: Kion, what's wrong? *see her brother run off* Kion, *follow Kion* come back!
- Simba: Kion!
- Mlezi: I'll go find him.
- Matumaini: We didn't really have to spoil the surprise, didn't we?
- Lion #1: *he and the lions get bumped by Kion running* Hey, watch it!
- Lion #2: Where are you going?
- Lion #3: Get outta the way.
- Lioness #1: Watch it, kiddo.
- Lioness #2: Whose kid is that?
- Lioness #3: Is he a loner.
- Kiara: Kion! *chase Kion on top of the cliff*
(At the cliff of the hill in the crater, Kion sobs in tears while watching a closer view of the crater as Kiara show up to comfort him)
- Kiara: Kion, what's wrong?
- Kion: I don't wanna talk about it.
- Kiara: Why can't we talk. Like at the rock or something?
- Kion: Nothing Kiara. Hakuna Matata.
- Kiara: No worries. What were you thinking?
- Kion: Can't you believe he used to be a friend of Mufasa before he left? He used to guard Pride Rock when our dad was a cub. And, he left when Simba became king. We thought we never see him again.
- Kiara: We were never born for this. We weren't even there before we were even born.
- Mlezi: *show up* Are you all okay?
- Kion: You're Mlezi. Our pride has been talking about you lately. Where have you been all this time?
- Mlezi: It been a long story Kion. I knew your grandfather and your father for very long before you guys were born.
- Kiara: You were a hero according to the neighbors.
- Kion: Were you the original leader of the Lion Guard?
- Mlezi: I was a guardian for Pride Rock seasons ago when Mufasa was king. It all started when the Pride Lands was living at peace.
(Flashbacks show the Pride Landers living in Pride Rock as Mufasa watch over the Pride Lands on the peak as Mlezi guarding the rock with Rafiki and Zazu)
- Mlezi: *narrate* I was a friend of Mufasa since childhood. When Mufasa was king, I used to guard through the rock and all the lioness behind me. *give hugs to the lionesses* Every female was on my side and Mufasa appreciate me for doing my job. *see Scar being jealous* Scar on the other hand wasn't so perfect to begin with when he missed out on your father's presentation.
(A painting of Mlezi was made on the wall of the rock as Rafiki tell the story of Mlezi to the cubs along with Simba and Nala as Mlezi watches them peacefully as he hear the story)
- Mlezi: *narrate* Rafiki told the story of my childhood on how I came to the Pride Lands while I babysit the cubs and thrilled to hear the stories about my adventures. One day, I was going to find a place for all the lions to meet up and play in and suddenly...
(One day, Mlezi return to the Pride Lands as he see something different about the lands. It's all rusted and is a wasteland as the hyenas begin to chase off the herds alongside the elephants, zebras, antelopes, buffalos, birds, cheetahs and rhinos in wake of Scar taking over Pride Rock as well the Pride Lands.)
- Mlezi: *narrate* When I came back from my journey, something was different about the Pride Lands. Mufasa died and Scar has taken over the Pride Lands. He used the hyenas to scatter off the remaining herds and leave the kingdom into a dumpster like the Elephant Graveyard. I got nowhere, but to go after all of life in the kingdom has wiped out with no food and water left to save.
(Seasons go by as Mlezi travel through the continent of Africa and discover some young lost lion cubs alongside Pekee and migrate with the other lions that joined him with Kiongozi in the forest)
- Mlezi: *narrate* As I traveled through the continent, I have to find a home to reside with no other home I've been searching for seasons and years. I met a bunch of lost lion cubs that were the same age as you two. They thought they were afraid until they were lost and had to join them. The other lions joined in too as well as I met Kiongozi the first time. We then discovered the crater where we would held our meetings to discuss on protecting our kingdom from fearless predators.
(Back at the Pride Lands after the death of Scar, the Pride Lands was back to normal as Rafiki create more paints of Mlezi and tell the story of Mlezi in front of the new cubs where the Pride Landers are watching)
- Mlezi: *narrate* I've been told by the spirits that a mandrill was still making stories about me as my courage for years lend me for the savannah to talk about me and my braveness as soon I would return to the Pride Lands someday to deliver a message to your father and everyone in your kingdom.
(The flashback ends as we flash-forward back to the crater as Mlezi hug Kion and Kiara at the edge of the ground)
- Kion: You were the bravest lion we ever know.
- Kiara: Would grandpa Mufasa be proud of what we have become?
- Mlezi: Yes. Mufasa would be proud of you today for standing tough and becoming brave.
- Kion: I stand up to him and look into the skies for how proud I can be.
- Kiara: We'll be great protectors one day. Simba taught us a lot about roaring at enemies and having courage when it come to wild schemes and catastrophes.
- Mlezi: One day, you'll be fine a fine prince and princess. You'll find mates and start a new pride of your own. You'll continue to grow the family tree as always by respecting the Circle of Life. Your parents would be proud.
- Kion: It's great seeing you in person.
- Kiara: Glad you survived after the events that happened when Scar became king.
- Mlezi: Scar's journey was complete after all. Let's go chew some fruits with the grown-ups.
- Kion: Okay.
- Kiara: You got a nice story to tell.
- Mlezi: It feel good to be a long ranger.
(Kion, Kiara and Mlezi head down of the crater and catch up with the lions as they eat some fruits together with the other lions)
- Kiongozi: Snack time!
- Tiifu: Mmm.
- Zuri: Love me some strawberries.
- Kama: You guys are okay.
- Hatima: Where you guys been?
- Kion: Everything okay. Mlezi just told us everything on where he came from.
- Simba: Glad you feel better.
- Nala: Have some blueberries.
- Kion: Sweet. *eat some blueberries* Chewy.
- Kiara: *eat some blueberries* They taste just like a sweet grub.
- Nzuri: At least, they're not rotten.
- Matumaini: They're as healthy as meat.
- Kion: *spot Pekee* It's him. Was Pekee with the rest of the lion cubs wandering around in your story?
- Mlezi: Yes. Almost every cub was adopted by grown-ups and Pekee was one of them.
- Kion: I guess he isn't a bad kid after all. *call Pekee* Hey Pekee.
- Rekee: What do you want?
- Kion: I just wanna say, I'm sorry for being mean to you earlier.
- Rekee: For what? For making you trip over? You're just trying to bother my dad after the truth.
- Kion: *to Mlezi* Pekee is your son?
- Mlezi: Yes. He is adopted after I found him with the rest of the cubs.
- Pekee: Listen, pal, I can be with Mlezi anytime I want to! You got that? I know him better than you do.
- Kion: Well, I have a dad.
- Pekee: Go be with your daddy. I have mine.
- Kiara: We're good. We're all together right now.
- Pekee: Face it. No matter who you face, you're gonna get the wrong guy. *push Kion*
- Kion: Hey.
- Kiara: That's enough.
- Mlezi: Pekee, just leave the boy alone.
- Pekee: Fine. I'll do things on my own. *walk off*
- Kion: Pekee, come back.
- Mlezi: Kion, he's just being himself. Like I said, he like to get things started by teasing others.
- Kion: Is he a bully?
- Mlezi: He lost his family years ago. He tease others who has a home and tend to make fun of them back. One day, he might have a chance of heart when he grow up, but who knows? He's just my kid after all.
- Kion: My sister's the oldest. I have to listen what my sister said.
- Kiara: I'm gonna be the queen and rule the rock one day.
- Mlezi: You guys are in good shape.
- Sarabi: One big family.
- Sarafina: We're the biggest pride in the savannah right now.
- Mlezi: As long we stick together, we will always protect our blood.
- Kion: All for blood.
- Kiara: The bloodline must be protected.
- Mlezi: Until then, we are one and all connected to the Circle of Life.
- Nzuri: That's our lone ranger right here.
- Matumaini: The bravest lion we ever know.
- Kiongozi: *eat a apple* Ah. I love my people.
