This chapter is called "Going Out For Vacation".

Plot[]

(Back at the Outlands, the hyenas are still pouncing against each other as Janja and his clan are stretching while waiting for some news from the vultures and wonder why they haven't return yet)

  • Janja: No food, no water, we'll be starving for the rest of our lives here in this dump hole.
  • Chungu: Man, we always chew up bones every day.
  • Cheezi: It make me think chewing on a bone is like food to me.
  • Janja: They're not food! They're a thing you chew on.
  • Chungu: Like skulls?
  • Janja: Bones! Don't you all understand what is the meaning of a skull and bone?
  • Cheezi: They're actually the same and part of our bodies.
  • Janja: Exactly. When we die, we become dust and dust is what we're gonna be for the rest of our lives.
  • Cheezi: What about grass and mud?
  • Janja: No. Grass for mud is for fools who believe in the Circle of Life.
  • Chungu: Like the Circle of Fowl. You see?
  • Janja: *think of himself* Why am I surrounded with idiots on my side? Ho ho ho. Another dumb plan. I can't wait to hear this.
  • Mzingo: *show up* Janja, we're back!
  • Janja: Welcome back my friends. What brings you here?
  • Mwoga: Heh heh heh. We got news for you.
  • Mzingo: I heard Kion and his family is leaving the Pride Lands.
  • Janja: Yes! They don't deserve to come back.
  • Mzingo: But wait. They will be leaving for few days and going somewhere around the savannah.
  • Janja: Oh come on. I thought they were gonna move the rock out of the land.
  • Cheezi: Who moves a rock?
  • Chungu: I don't know. A dung beetle?
  • Janja: Shut up, fur-brains. I'm talking here!
  • Mzingo: Once again, the Lion Guard will be leaving to go somewhere around the savannah. Far far away that no one has ever leave behind before.
  • Mwoga: It's not gonna be easy for a lion to travel all over the world.
  • Janja: Pesky lions. When we'll get our hands on them, we'll chew them up like chopped meat!
  • Chungu: I will rip their furs apart.
  • Cheezi: Ooh boy, lions are ugggggly! *laugh*
  • Mzingo: You know the drill, tomorrow morning!
  • Janja: Precisely. Things will prevail when we strike against the lions. Everyone will be sorry when we begin to divide and conquer on the pride. No one will ever rule a single pride in a group of lions ever again.
  • Chungu: Um, Janja? We're killing them all, right?
  • Janja: Yes! Do I have to repeat everything I say?
  • Chungu: No. Not at all.
  • Janja: Good. Then pay attention.
  • Mwoga: How many of your members will be hunting for the lions?
  • Janja: All of them. I'm bringing all to go after the lions.
  • Chungu: Will the Lion Guard be there?
  • Janja: Who knows? They'll be dead, stiff and stinky when I get my paws on them.
  • Cheezi: The time will come to rule the Pride Lands for good.
  • Janja: When we get into that rock, everyone will starve and bow down to all of us when we rule the Pride Lands! *evil laugh*

(Back at the Pride Lands, it is night time as Kion, Kiara and the Lion Guard return to Pride Rock as the gang say bye to each other before setting off to bed)

  • Kion: Long day today you guys.
  • Bunga: I had it with the grubs, Kion.
  • Kiara: Timon and Pumbaa are very happy right now for what we done.
  • Ono: I'm feeling the spotlight!
  • Fuli: Speed me up if you can.
  • Beshte: The day get any better by variety.
  • Kion: *yawn* Better head off to bed. Good night everyone.
  • Bunga: See ya Kion.
  • Beshte: Back in the bed business.
  • Fuli: You guys better get some rest. Tomorrow is the biggest day you guys will ever face in the savannah.
  • Ono: *he and the Lion Guard left* The Pride Lands awaits you!
  • Kiara: See you later Lion Guard.
  • Kion: Come on sister.
  • Kiara: In to the cave.

(Kion and Kiara head to the cave den of Pride Rock where the lions are sleeping as Simba and Nala embrace them on their arrival)

  • Kion: Dad, we're home.
  • Simba: Welcome home kids.
  • Nala: Hope that long day is kicking you in the rocks.
  • Kiara: By the way, Timon and Pumbaa say hello.
  • Simba: Ah. Timon and Pumbaa. I haven't talk to these guys in ages.
  • Nala: How are the boys doing?
  • Kion: They're fine. They're just getting in there and playing with the bugs.
  • Kiara: Always wandering to somewhere goofy.
  • Simba: Timon and Pumbaa has always been the same ever since.
  • Nala: Boys will always be boys.
  • Simba: In fact, I'm a prince.
  • Kion: *yawn* Getting tired here.
  • Kiara: *stretch* Same.
  • Simba: You must be tired.
  • Nala: We're all do. We need to get some rest now. We're all leaving by morning.
  • Simba: But who will take over the rock when we're not here?
  • Nala: Trust me. The Lion Guard will.
  • Simba: They're new to defending the Pride Lands. If our leader won't be here for a week, who will lead the guard? Timon and Pumbaa?
  • Nala: Oh honey. The duo will do great on leading the guard. They'll assist what to do and what not to do on the job.
  • Kion: Yeah yeah. I heard. Can we just go to bed already?
  • Simba: Alright. You win. Goodnight.
  • Nala: Sleep tight.
  • Kion: And no bed bugs crawling in the ground tonight.
  • Kiara: And we're off. *she and everyone sleep*

(As the lions go to sleep in Pride Rock, the next morning happen as Kion and Kiara wake up and see everyone floating out of the rock)

  • Kion: What the?
  • Kiara: What's happening?
  • Kion: I don't know. It feels like- *get dragged outside* Whoa!
  • Kiara: *get dragged outside* Kion!

(Everyone in the Pride Lands are floating in the savannah including the hippos, zebras, giraffes, meerkats, mongooses, warthogs, various grubs, birds despite flying, cheetahs, leopards, rhinos, oxes and crocodiles as the trees and rocks begin to lift and float)

  • Kion: *spin* Whoa!
  • Kiara: Check it out Kion!
  • Kion: I feel so... awkward.
  • Kiara: We never except to fly like this!
  • Simba: Wow, it's beautiful.
  • Nala: I never seen such a thing as floating.
  • Sarabi: The Pride Lands have never have a feature where we could fly like birds like Zazu!
  • Sarafina: It's a dream come to life!
  • Tiifu: Wee! I'm flying!
  • Zuri: Race me toward the trees!
  • Kion: *hold on the rocks* Whoa. A boulder can move.
  • Kiara: *slide on a log* Ooh.
  • Kion: I'm seeing the fun here.
  • Kiara: It's like magic in the air.
  • Kion: *see the sky turn dark* What the?
  • Kiara: What happen here?
  • Kion: *see the world crack and fall apart* Oh no.
  • Kiara: What's going on?
  • Kion: The world is falling apart.
  • Kiara: It can't be.
  • Kion: *he and Kiara stand together as the land float and move up, toward the sun* Why are we going into the light?
  • Kiara: I had no idea. I'm seeing the sun, and it's getting closer. Wait, what? No. *she and Kion go into the sun* NO!

(Kion woke up after a nightmare in the cave den while the lions are still snoring and sleeping)

  • Kion: Whew. What was that?
  • Kiara: Another nightmare of yours?
  • Kion: That was sure a weird dream there.
  • Kiara: Go back to sleep, kiddo.
  • Kion: Alright. *go back to sleep, sighing* Mmm.
  • Kiara: *sleep* Goodnight, still.

(The next morning, all the lions are awake at Pride Rock as they stretch and exhale as they begin a new day in the Pride Lands as well preparing a trip out of the Pride Lands)

  • Simba: Good morning my pride. Hope you all slept well for the big day.
  • Nala: I gotta get on my paws.
  • Kion: Another day, another life.
  • Kiara: After that crazy dream of yours yesterday, hope we don't fly and fall into some sort of ring of fire.
  • Tiifu: Hey Kiara.
  • Kiara: Hey Tiifu. How are you doing?
  • Tiifu: Today's the day! We're going on a field trip!
  • Zuri: Woo hoo! I've been waiting for this moment to come.
  • Kion: It's official. We're going on a field trip.
  • Rafiki: *show up, laughing* Hoo hoo hoo! It is time! The day is today! Today you will all be leaving to go somewhere around the savannah to meet up with the lion prides!
  • Simba: Good report there, Rafiki. I know we're all prepared for a little something.
  • Zazu: *fly and land* I'll say. I'll assist on the team on going through directions and make sure nobody get hurt.
  • Rafiki: As Simba lead the way, stay as a group at all times!
  • Nala: Just remember. No bumping, no getting left behind and no going without the group. Even if you're ahead of the group or walking too far, don't!
  • Kion: We heard mother. We all know the riddle to the answer.
  • Kiara: Beats me.
  • Sarabi: Oh, Simba. You got this. I know you're ready to lead a pride to a adventure like never before.
  • Simba: Mother, I got this. Even my father has done this many times over the years in his youth.
  • Sarafina: You promise, you will be great as a leader.
  • Simba: When I became king, the first thing I wanted to do is protect all of you guys from predatory threats like hyenas and jackals. Second of all, we will be taking measures like going on field trip while our back-up will stay back at the rock and work together to defend the Pride Lands while we're gone.
  • Kion: Oh brother. He's talking about the Lion Guard.
  • Kiara: It's okay Kion. Your friends got this while we're on a adventure.
  • Rafiki: Simba, my boy. Are we ready to go?
  • Simba: Yes. It is time that we're now making our way to the outside world.
  • Nala: Hold your horses and let's go!
  • Zazu: Time to go!
  • Rafiki: *laugh* Ooh ooh ooh. Adventure awaits in the wild!
  • Kion: Kiara, you know what to do.
  • Kiara: It's vacation time.

(The lions left Pride Rock as they all stand outside while Kion and his pride say goodbye to the Lion Guard before heading off around the savannah)

  • Kion: Lion Guard, you'll promise you will protect the Pride Lands while we're gone.
  • Bunga: *salute* Yes Kion! We will do all the work while we're gone.
  • Kiara: Do you guys need any back-up to fill in as leader?
  • Bunga: Maybe Timon and Pumbaa can do the job. I swear, they'll perform as both leaders of the guard.
  • Fuli: Timon and Pumbaa?! Really?! No! They can't even act as team leaders and always wander around into some trouble. They can't be trusted.
  • Beshte: Come on Fuli. Just give them a chance. I know they will do great as leaders. Even for a week.
  • Fuli: I would rather stay with the baboons for a week, itching their hair as always. *camera shows the baboons itching their hair on the tree*
  • Ono: So Kion. Do you have any chores for us to do when you're gone?
  • Kion: Always remember to look out for each other, save the animals, make new paths and keep animals safe from danger.
  • Ono: Bingo!
  • Bunga: Perfect-o. I think we're following the same pattern here.
  • Kiara: By the way, if Janja and his hyena forces come back, be sure to keep on a lookout to push them out of the way.
  • Bunga: So, if we are going to defeat the hyenas, who is going to roar them out with the lion gods coming right out of the sky?
  • Kion: That is only mandatory. Well, not really. I won't be here for a week. Maybe Pumbaa's stink can kick them out of the Pride Lands.
  • Bunga: *giggle* Pumbaa's stink! Oh my goodness. He made me laugh when he make a fart.
  • Fuli: *annoyed* Ugh! I hate when you guys make a joke about passing gas or making stinks. Not even a old fart can make a stiff on a mud.
  • Simba: Is anyone ready?
  • Kion: We gotta go. Hope you guys keep the rock safe while we're gone.
  • Bunga: You got it my best bud.
  • Kiara: Check.
  • Ono: And clear.
  • Nala: We're good to go. Come on.
  • Kion: See you guys later.
  • Bunga: Goodbye Kion and Kiara. Have fun and stay safe!
  • Kiara: We'll be back soon!
  • Rafiki: Hoo hoo hoo! Let's get ready to rumble!
  • Zazu: *fly* I am so signed up for this!
  • Sarabi: Zazu is heading straight. We should follow him.
  • Sarafina: Right.
  • Simba: My pride. Let's go.
  • Tiifu: Here we go.
  • Zuri: Last one there is a big bad hyena in the dusty lands.
  • Kion: On the road again.
  • Kiara: Hope this journey is worth a trip.

(Kion and the pride leave their home and head all over the savannah by passing by the river, lake, logs, hills and edges as they reach all the way on their way to a forest)

  • Kion: What a long journey for us.
  • Simba: The world isn't far away from us where we have to go.
  • Nala: So many steps to go to.
  • Kiara: Mufasa would have loved this if he was here right now.
  • Simba: We'll pass by the forest, then go to the swamp.
  • Tiifu: Why is there a swamp attached to the forest?
  • Zuri: I had no idea.
  • Kiara: We'll just pass over the forest and reach to the swamp where we have to go.
  • Kion: Simba, you know we're going, right?
  • Simba: Yes. We'll migrate over to the forest on our way to what we're looking for.

(Simba and his pride continue to walk into the forest. Back at the Pride Lands at the Hakuna Matata Falls, Timon and Pumbaa are still chilling in the falls while relaxing on a pond.)

  • Timon: Boy, it been a while since Simba's family left. What are we gonna do about it?
  • Pumbaa: I don't know. Eat salad?
  • Timon: There is more than just salad. Why not eat some fruits?
  • Pumbaa: But it's the same thing over and over.
  • Timon: Why not eat a banana, will ya?
  • Pumbaa: Eh. We could have eaten a chicken stew for dinner.
  • Timon: While Simba and Kion are not back, we got the whole day to relax and hang out.
  • Pumbaa: I'll be chewing on some fruits.
  • Bunga: *he and his friends show up* Hi there Timon and Pumbaa.
  • Timon: Oh hey Bunga. What you doing?
  • Pumbaa: Welcome! You got something to share?
  • Bunga: We got a lot to catch up.
  • Beshte: Yeah. You know the drill.
  • Fuli: It's a shame Kion didn't invite us for another adventure.
  • Ono: They said they were going on a field trip or something. What a bummer we got snubbed out.
  • Bunga: It's a family-only trip. I thought we were family like friends.
  • Fuli: Just because you're friends, doesn't mean you're related to them.
  • Timon: What about the cousins?
  • Pumbaa: And the children?
  • Bunga: All family members! And I should have been a part of the ride.
  • Ono: Tell me why we weren't invited in the first place.
  • Fuli: Because we aren't part of Simba's family! We're just friends!
  • Ono: For example. I'm a bird, but I'm not a hornbill like Zazu.
  • Pumbaa: I may be a pig also, but I'm a different breach of pig. I'm a warthog.
  • Bunga: Oh well. We're gonna miss all the experience the lions have to offer outside of the rock.
  • Timon: Hey, why not we have our own adventure together.
  • Ono: What? No way.
  • Bunga: How are we gonna pull this off without Kion and the pride?
  • Timon: You know. We'll have our very own adventure and follow Kion's footprints on where the pride is going.
  • Fuli: You're just being nosey. There's no way we're heading out to look for Kion's family when we don't know where they are.
  • Pumbaa: But we can track down their footprints.
  • Beshte: You know?
  • Timon: Eh, forget it. We're leaving anyways.
  • Pumbaa: Pack your bags! We're going on a adventure.
  • Bunga: Adventure! Yeah!
  • Fuli: What adventure?
  • Timon: To a adventure like never before!
  • Pumbaa: We'll follow these footprints on where Kion and his family are headed.
  • Bunga: Why don't you say so? Sign me up for a field trip!
  • Ono: We're all in for a field trip.
  • Fuli: Ugh. It's gonna be a boring adventure on the savanna, is it?
  • Beshte: Eh, it's not that bad.
  • Timon: You know how it works.
  • Pumbaa: The adventure is now official.
  • Bunga: Here we go!
  • Ono: Make way!
  • Timon: Straight to the savanna!
  • Pumbaa: Here we go, in a new life in the Pride Lands.
  • Bunga: Another adventure, here we come.
  • Beshte: I hope we graze some grass.
  • Ono: Keep an eye on the spots!

(Back at the Outlands, the hyenas are still training while Janja sniff on the broken bones of a zebra and elephant while sensing where Kion and his family is)

  • Janja: I spy a prey.
  • Chungu: Ooh, is it a zebra?
  • Janja: No. We already ate a zebra.
  • Cheezi: Duh. It's already been dead.
  • Janja: I am starving. We got nothing to chew on since we moved to this dump.
  • Chungu: Then where our ancestors left us?
  • Janja: Hyenas and lions have been on war since the beginning of time. We pups were there, watching our parents fight against the lions in claim for the throne.
  • Cheezi: I'll be sitting on a chair there.
  • Mzingo: *show up flying* Janja! We got a report regarding on Kion and his family members.
  • Janja: Oh Mzingo. What is with Kion this time.
  • Mzingo: Kion has left Pride Rock along with his family, meaning they are leaving the Pride Lands.
  • Mwoga: I heard they are going nowhere for some rock council meeting with the lion prides.
  • Janja: Wait, there are more prides than just Kion's pride? Ooh, sound like a prey of fury to me.
  • Cheezi: What do you mean by your prey of fury?
  • Janja: There will be more lions to kill! Something in the bad lions' images for what they should have started in the first place.
  • Chungu: Like those ruthless unruly outsiders from far away? I've seen one of those.
  • Janja: Anyone is a outsider from far away. Any more updates, Mzingo?
  • Mzingo: Like I said, Kion and the family is heading out and the footprints are discovered. We must go and strike them.
  • Janja: Alright. I am ready to prey on some lions in the wild. I'm gonna bring in my hyenas and take down Kion's pride.
  • Cheezi: Isn't Simba the leader of the pride?
  • Janja: Hush, dumb one. I've got a plan to make. Listen up hyenas! We got a announcement to make! I heard Kion and his family is leaving the Pride Lands. Mzingo and his flock discovered the footprints leading to where the lions are. We will leave the lair and strike today to take down the lions. So who's with me? *make the hyenas cheer*
  • Cheezi: Yeah!
  • Chungu: You done it again.
  • Tano: Smell like prey.
  • Nne: I'm hungry for some lunch.
  • Mzingo: We must prepare.
  • Mwoga: Be prepared for a unveiling of a new adventure to hunt for food.
  • Janja: I'm talking business.
  • Cheezi: With lion to chew on.
  • Chungu: Save room for dessert.
  • Tano: You lead the way.
  • Nne: You got this.
  • Janja: Hyenas! We got work to do. Follow me as we will the Outlands and go into the savannah for prey!
  • Mzingo: My vultures got time to prepare.
  • Mwoga: We'll catch up later on.
  • Janja: Mzingo, send your flock over while we go.
  • Mzingo: Will tell.
  • Mwoga: See you in a little while. *laugh as he and Mzingo fly off*
  • Janja: My clan, follow me! *laugh with evil along with his clan as they head out to the Pride Lands*
  • Ushari: *sneak out of his cave and see the hyenas leaving* Janja and his clan are leaving for a hunt? Why wasn't I invited? *follow them*

(Back with Simba's pride, Simba and his pride head over to the swamp by leaving the forest and head into the rocks to hop)

  • Kion: Where are we?
  • Simba: I had no idea. It look foggy on the outside.
  • Nala: I can't see a thing.
  • Kiara: Why are we even here for?
  • Simba: Kiara, we're on a family trip. It take measures to get to where we are and how much time it takes to dodge through dangers and booby falls.
  • Kiara: We could have taken a shortcut by the bridge.
  • Nala: This is the only way we can take. Also, all the other shortcuts are blocked.
  • Kiara: What?!
  • Kion: You got to be kidding us. If I were to use my powerful roar, I would blow away the fog and get to the road safety without any trouble.
  • Nala: Kion, relax. We'll get there without few falls.
  • Kiara: No booby traps, no crocodiles and we're all good.
  • Simba: Try to focus on dignity rather than staying within fear.
  • Kion: Fine. I'll do my best to calm down during the trip.
  • Kiara: Try to not interfere when you're in the mist of danger.
  • Kion: Alright. I'll try.
  • Simba: My pride, let's go.

(While the lions are hoping in the rocks, a crocodile float by the water by spying on the lions with a glare on his face)

  • ???: Heh. I smell some meat on the guts. *swim down*

(Simba and his pride are still hoping on the rocks while reaching to the rock land in the swamp)

  • Simba: Try to keep up when you're not nervous.
  • Nala: Do not fall through the water.
  • Kion: Whatever you say, mom. *hop off a rock as a crocodile swim by*
  • Kiara: I see no predators around here.
  • Tiifu: Same. No sign of bugs swamping around us.
  • Zuri: Ew. I'll rather eat a worm for breakfast.
  • Simba: *hop off a rock as he see a crocodile swimming by* Guys, look out!
  • Nala: *see a crocodile biting* Move back!
  • Kion: Crocodiles!
  • Kiara: Hold on!
  • Simba: *fight the crocodiles* Back off!
  • Nala: Get on point!
  • ???: *land on a rock* Crocodiles, get them! *send his float after Simba's pride*
  • Sarabi: *fight the crocodiles* They're gaining on us!
  • Sarafina: *roar at the crocodiles* There's too many of them*
  • Tiifu: *surrounded by crocodiles* Aah!
  • Zuri: Help us!
  • Kiara: No!
  • Kion: I got this! *roar blast at the crocodiles* Go!
  • Simba: Everyone to the land!
  • Sarabi: We got this Simba!
  • ???: Not without my dinner! *swim after Simba*
  • Nala: Simba, the float.
  • Simba: What? *encounter more crocodiles*
  • ???: Where do you think you're going, far-walker?
  • Crocodile #1: I smell food.
  • Crocodile #2: With hair.
  • Crocodile #3: Who eat a mane for lunch?
  • Kion: Hevi kebasa, these crocodiles are as fierce as Makuu's float, if he was leader.
  • Simba: No one stand into my way.
  • ???: Back up. The leader of the float back up for nobody.
  • Simba: You're nobody, then. *roar and fight the crocodiles*
  • Kion: *see his father getting bit by a crocodile* Daddy!
  • Simba: *get hurt by the crocodiles* Aurgh.
  • Kion: Oh no you don't! *go after the crocodiles*
  • Kiara: Kion!
  • Simba: *claw and scratch every crocodile* Get out!
  • ???: You'll never learn, coward! *bite Simba*
  • Simba: Never! *grab the crocodile and fight in the water by slapping and hitting by making the fishes and eels swim away as he grab the crocodile and slam him on the rock*
  • ???: What are you?
  • Simba: I am... the king of the Pride Lands! *roll over the crocodile leader*
  • ???: Then you'll call me Hatari.
  • Simba: Well Hatari. Why were you preying on us?
  • Hatari: I thought, you look like a meal to me.
  • Kion: *confront Hatari* Let go of my dad!
  • Hatari: Aw, look at the little lion. He's so scared. Who's gonna run to their mommy now. *he and his float laugh*
  • Kion: Don't you dare mock a leader of a Lion Guard like that. *growl as the clouds swirl on him*
  • Simba: What are you doing?
  • Hatari: What does he look like he's doing?
  • Kion: You better stay away from my dad or else! *use the Roar of the Elders to blow away Hatari and his float*
  • Simba: *hold on to the rock in the water* Slow down!
  • Hatari: Not the storm! Ugh! *get winded away with his float* Stupid storm! I'll get you!
  • Kion: *roar at the crocodiles and calm down* Uh...
  • Simba: *get up* Are you okay son?
  • Kion: Yes dad. I am.
  • Simba: Thank you for saving me. One suggestion. Next time, wait for me before we fight and stay as a group.
  • Kion: Okay.
  • Simba: Let's go.
  • Kion: It won't be as long the crocodiles return.

(Hatari and his float glare in the water as they swim down. Simba and Kion head over to the land to catch up with their family in the other side of the swamp)

  • Simba: Is anyone alright?
  • Nala: Yeah. Glad we got away with the crocs.
  • Kiara: We almost got eaten by one.
  • Kion: I scared them off with my roar.
  • Simba: Never going back to this place.
  • Nala: Never ever.
  • Simba: Where's the pride?
  • Nala: We lost then somewhere when the crocs were attacking.
  • Kion: Oh no. Where are they?
  • Kiara: When you unleashed that roar, it scared off the pride. The fog has gotten bigger which separate us from following along.
  • Kion: No. Grandmother, Sarafina, where are they?
  • Simba: Don't worry Kion. We'll find them.
  • Kion: We can't lose track of them. Not when you're leading the group.
  • Nala: They must have gone safety to a safer place from where they are.
  • Simba: We'll catch up with them in the meantime.
  • Kion: Let's keep on going.
  • Kiara: Just stay as a group. That's what we should all be focused about.
  • Simba: Kiara's right. Stay together, don't get left behind and don't wander off. That's what you need to know about.
  • Nala: Alright group, come on.
  • Kion: Soon, we'll find Sarabi and the rest of the pride.
  • Kiara: We're few steps away from our location.
