Chapter 5 is the fifth chapter of The Lion King IV: Subira's Beginning by MarioFan65.
This chapter is called "Out of Nowhere".
Plot[]
(Subira, Jengo, Dogo, Timon, Pumbaa, Mody and Dacey run out of the Asis Pride to evacuate to safety, heading over to the sand plains)
- Subira: We got away with the big bad lion.
- Jengo: Like who was that?
- Dogo: I'll let you know when we will find a place to hide safety.
- Timon: Is it possible for us to dig through tunnels to hide and avoid all the bad lions from spying on us?
- Pumbaa: Timon, you know some of us can dig.
- Timon: What?
- Mody: There's a warthog and lions on our side.
- Dacey: Don't worry. We hide the little lion around Pride Rock to avoid getting caught by that wicked lion.
- Subira: But, the Pridelanders don't know who this cub is.
- Dogo: Come on. I hide in every hole in every lion's den.
- Dacey: We don't know this kid.
- Mody: He was coming with us the whole time.
- Jengo: Where can we hide you?
- Dogo: Up in the tree?
- Timon: No. He is not a monkey. Lions are suppose to hide in safe and secure spots like holes and caves.
- Dogo: Can we just go? The bad lion is going to find us right away and we better hide now before it's too late.
- Timon: We will hide when we get there.
- Jengo: It's no sooner or later. We need to hide him around the Pride Lands so our dads don't caught him as a stranger.
- Subira: A stranger you say?
- Mody: What the stranger got to do with you?
- Jengo: We need to get going before the parents find out.
- Dogo: Just hide me over to the rocks and that's it!
- Subira: Alright. We'll get to it.
- Timon: Come on.
(Subira's group made it back to the Pride Lands as they hide over to the rocks where the Pridelanders are walking around, guarding over Pride Rock)
- Jengo: Oh man.
- Subira: What are the Pridelanders doing out of Pride Rock?
- Timon: They must be guarding like they're securing Pride Rock out of danger.
- Pumbaa: Where are we going to hide this little fellow?
- Dogo: If i can only jump through rocks, i can make my way to the hiding spot.
- Mody: Oh no you don't kiddo. You're not going anywhere without us.
- Dacey: You know the Pride Lands doesn't like strangers coming out of other prides. We had that problem with Kovu a few seasons ago.
- Mody: Were we there when Kovu came to the Pride Lands?
- Dacey: We were not there Mody. We were busy back at the jungle.
- Timon: Me and Pumbaa were there when Zira's strike happen.
- Pumbaa: Good and bad times.
- Dogo: But where are you going to place me in.
- Timon: I know a way. There used to be a cave around here, but it got crushed and nowhere to be seen anymore.
- Pumbaa: But, we have a hiding spot for you to hide.
- Dogo: Really? Show me the hiding spot.
- Timon: I know where and I been there hiding many times during my days of babysitting.
(Subira, Jengo, Dogo, Timon, Mody, Dacey and Pumbaa hide on the holes in the Pride Lands to avoid getting caught by the Pridelanders, unaware of Dogo's arrival)
- Dogo: You think they're gonna see me when we're hiding?
- Timon: They won't find you. I promise.
- Subira: It's better than nothing.
- Jengo: Is the big bad lion after us?
- Dogo: We got away with the bad lion. We're all good.
- Pumbaa: You must be hanging out with us then.
- Timon: We got back here with the kid. He's not from around here.
- Dogo: What?
- Subira: Hey. Don't say that. Let him be here from any pride he come from. I learn everything from my friend's dad.
- Jengo: Things were different when the Pridelanders and Outsiders were enemies around that time. Then came Zira's war with Simba's pride.
- Timon: *hear voices* Adults.
- Pumbaa: Shhh. They can hear us.
- Timon: Stranger danger my friends.
- Dogo: What are we gonna do?
- Timon: Shhh. Quiet. Don't get caught.
- Dogo: *whisper* Okay.
(Simba and the Pridelanders are having a talk together while walking with Rafiki by looking around Pride Rock)
- Sarabi: Oh Simba. You always been so grown. Mufasa would have been proud of you if he was still here.
- Simba: Whatever we say, we're the same.
- Rafiki: Ha ha ha. We're always in charge of the rock.
- Kiara: Uh, you do realize we have to watch over the animals.
- Kovu: Why watch the animals when we can have all the fun in the rock?
- Simba: The lions get Pride Rocks, the crocodiles get the swamp, but all of us gotta do some business, man. You don't watch the paint dry on the rock all day for like three hours while doing chores. You gotta step up. You can't just stand here like a loner. We were always given tasks to do all day in the Pride Lands.
- Kovu: You and me got something in common. I always wanted to follow your footsteps.
- Simba: We are still one, Kovu. It's only a new beginning.
- Vitani: We have kings, princes and guards surrounding in our pride.
- Kopa: Do we always observe the Pride Lands like protectors?
- Simba: A king take everything in all shots.
- Zazu: *fly* King Simba! Sire!
- Simba: Hello Zazu. What brings you here.
- Zazu: I have to inform you that your grandkids have returned to the Pride Lands.
- Nala: What? Since when they left on their own and came back?
- Vitani: This is ridiculous.
- Kopa: How did they got out on their own like that?
- Rafiki: What is the point Zazu?
- Zazu: Oh, Timon, Pumbaa, Mody and Dacey were with them on their long walk.
- Simba: Ooh, wee. I thought I was going out for a anxiety attack.
- Nala: Where did they go?
- Kiara: They're not on the trees.
- Kovu: Or the rocks.
- Zazu: I suggest looking at the holes.
- Simba: Let me go check to see if the kids are hiding or not. *walk into the holes*
(At the holes, Subira's friends are aware of Simba walking into the holes, much to their horror)
- Subira: We're doomed.
- Jengo: You said you found a place to hide where we don't get caught. This is a bad spot.
- Timon: I'm sorry. There was no way on getting into a safe spot on hiding.
- Pumbaa: We could have hide in the lair room, but the ladies always go there to start their meetings on weekdays.
- Mody: Let's dig. *try to dig on the ground* The whole place is made out of rocks!
- Dacey: We can't dig on the rocks, Mody.
- Mody: Well this stinks.
- Simba: *check on the holes to see that the cubs and the animals are there* There you are. We were curious about you guys.
- Subira: So we're not in trouble?
- Jengo: Are you going to punish us?
- Simba: No. I'm here to see you. You were just playing.
- Timon: Mr. Simba. Oh, Mister Simba. You're pulling our legs and tails.
- Pumbaa: What about my nails?
- Simba: Pumbaa, your nails are fine.
- Pumbaa: Oh, I thought they were claws.
- Simba: Come out of there. Your parents are missing you, Subira and Jengo.
- Subira: Better than nothing.
- Jengo: Oh sister.
(Subira, Jengo, Dogo, Timon, Mody, Dacey and Pumbaa got out of the holes as they catch up with the Pridelanders)
- Nala: There you are you guys.
- Subira: Mommy! *run to Kiara*
- Kiara: You're back Subira. We thought we lost you forever.
- Kovu: Welcome home.
- Kopa: Jengo, you tried to scare us like that. Don't do that again.
- Jengo: I'm sorry dad. We were on a big walk with Timon, Pumbaa and the other meerkats.
- Vitani: If you were hanging out with them, that's okay. But by yourselves, that's a big no.
- Jengo: I can never be in trouble in one day.
- Rafiki: Hold it! Who is the cub in front of you?
- Dogo: *surprised* Uh, hi?
- Simba: Subira, what did we talk about talking to strangers?
- Subira: Uh, he was playing tag with us.
- Kiara: Where did we met this kid?
- Jengo: Uh?
- Kopa: Jengo, you do know he's not from the Pride Lands.
- Kovu: Does he look like a Outsider?
- Vitani: He doesn't look like he came from the Outlands since all the Outsiders have ran off to the Pride Lands.
- Subira: He was one of those cubs pouncing at the fields.
- Rafiki: This kid doesn't have the same color as one of the Pridelanders.
- Nala: Subira and Jengo, what do you have to say for yourselves?
- Subira: No, no. I can explain. His pride was visiting and he was the only cub there.
- Simba: And?
- Everyone: *animals started screaming as Bakari and his pride came to attack as one of them are attacking an antelope with the Pridelanders facing the arrival of Bakari*
- Simba: What is going on?
- Rafiki: There is a attack in the Pride Lands!
- Kiara: Those lions. You brought me here?!
- Jengo: We're sorry.
- Simba: You kids should have know better.
- Dogo: Bakari's here. You guys have to hide.
- Simba: No. Your friends are trying to cause a lot of trouble from your pride coming here to attack our people. Stay here.
- Zazu: We must stop the strangers from reaching to the rock!
- Jengo: What are we gonna do?
- Subira: I told you the Asis Pride is still bad after all.
(Bakari and his Asislanders are seen pressing down on a antelope's throat as the Pridelanders, lead by Simba arrive to confront Bakari in battle)
- Bakari: Tell me. Where is the kid?!
- Antelope #1: Kid? What kid?
- Bakari: The kid was following one of the lion cubs. Answer the question.
- Antelope #1: I..never...met...any...kid. You're...trying..to..kill...me.
- Simba: *roar to face Bakari*
- Bakari: *let go antelope* Oh, the King of this pride has arrived.
- Antelope #1: *run to his friend* I'm saved!
- Antelope #2: That lion is a predator!
- Bakari: Hello, can I help you?
- Simba: What are you doing in the Pride Lands? Get lost.
- Bakari: I am not lost. Where is the kid?
- Simba: What kid? You mean the kid my grandkids were hanging out with?
- Bakari: Oh, so you're related to the grandkids that took the parents' cub with your grandkids. How frightening.
- Nala: You have no right to step into our pride, but to attack our animals.
- Kovu: You're breaking the Circle of Life. This is not good for the cycle.
- Vitani: Who are you suppose to me?
- Bakari: I am Bakari. *see Vitani* Ooh, are you a Outsider?
- Vitani: We used to be Outsiders, lead by my mom. But we left after the leader refuse to join and ended up getting killed by a river.
- Bakari: You know Zira. Then I am Zira's father.
- Vitani: *shocked* No!
- Bakari: You must be my granddaughter.
- Kovu: Get away from my sister! You don't look like you're related to Zira.
- Bakari: Step aside. *hit Kovu* I'm going to take my granddaughter home to where we belong.
- Kiara: Get out of here you creep. You're trying to bring a threat to the Pride Lands like what happen with Scar.
- Bakari: You were not there for Scar. Your kingdom will be burned by our pride. It will be no more and finished.
- Simba: Leave now, or else!
- Bakari: Ha ha ha. Do you think i'm leaving because i'm a unwanted visitor? Not a chance. *hit Simba*
- Simba: *roar as his pride fight against Bakari's pride*
- Bakari: Aw, who's the poor man's lion king.
- Simba: *claw out Bakari*
- Bakari: *bump at Simba*
- Simba: *jump on Bakari*
- Bakari: You're flopping like a crocodile.
- Simba: Yeah. You're making me nervous.
- Timon: There's a fight! Come on. Punch these bad lions out!
- Pumbaa: I'll take care of them! *knock out the Asislanders* Eat that! Take that! Drop out!
- Mody: Bad lions on the loose!
- Dacey: Pull back!
- Nala: *bite the Asislander's ear and push out a Asislander*
- Kiara: *hit a Asislander*
- Kovu: *bump a Asislander into the pond*
- Rafiki: *use his staff to fight the Asislanders*
- Kopa: *try to hit a Asislander, but is attacked by three of the bad lions*
- Subira: Mom! Dad!
- Jengo: What's going on?
- Kopa: Don't worry kids. Hide back inside the den!
- Zazu: I'll take the kids out!
- Dogo: Don't make us go! The king is having a selfish meltdown!
- Zazu: By who?
- Bakari: *throw Simba in the tree*
- Simba: *get off the tree and smash Bakari*
- Bakari: *scream and bite Simba by throwing him into the rock*
- Simba: Bummer...
- Bakari: Here kitty kitty.
- Simba: *get up slowly* You...monster.
- Bakari: Who are the tyrants that tries to take over prides and block them all out? Me! *slap Simba*
- Nala: *bump Bakari*
- Bakari: You there?
- Nala: You leave my baby out of this.
- Bakari: Nobody cares. Your pride will never be the same.
- Nala: This is Simba's kingdom. Not yours. Get your own kingdom, lardface.
- Sarabi: *scratch a Asislander* Those are the mean fierce ones out there.
- Sarafina: *hit a Asislander* Ha ha.
- Kovu: *bite a Asislander* Doesn't taste like zebra.
- Bakari: *see Subira, Jengo and Dogo* I see you!
- Subira: He caught us!
- Jengo: Run! *run with his friends*
- Bakari: *chase the cubs* Come back there or your parents will be MAD!
- Nala: Oh no you don't follow the cubs! *chase after Bakari chasing the cubs all over Pride Rock*
- Dogo: *he and his friends run around Pride Rock to avoid getting chased by Bakari as they stop by the peak of the rock* Trap! Dead end.
- Subira: We're in the peak.
- Jengo: We can see the fight from above.
- Bakari: *stop the cubs at the peak* Hello, cubs. This is the end of your fate, right here, right now.
- Subira: You back off.
- Jengo: *move his feet a little closer as he gasp from falling as little rocks fall off the peak*
- Bakari: Don't be scared. Come to the king.
- Dogo: I'm not going back.
- Bakari: You have to accept the king's decisions on the pride and that's me, Dogo.
- Dogo: Due to your filthy rules, I'll never join your alliance and attack on other prides just like your daughter.
- Bakari: The loss of Zira made me go on a rampage to seek on revenge on those who attack my land under bonds.
- Nala: *roar at Bakari*
- Bakari: You there?
- Nala: You need to get out. You don't belong in the Pride Lands, at all!
- Bakari: Oh, come on pretty lady. You don't seem to be so anxious over my antics.
- Nala: Your schemes are causing lots of trouble on our pride lately. Step down and bring your pride to go home.
- Bakari: I'm sorry highness. The king from the other pride don't make the rules here. I make the rules in all places.
- Nala: You don't look like a actual king to me. *growl*
- Bakari: Say, what does a lion does to follow the dead lion's footsteps. *Nala scare him from jumping as he jump off falling off the peak, screaming and crashing on the ground*
- Asislanders: *stop fighting as they look at Bakari's grounded after his fall*
- Bakari: Those Pridelanders, try to scam me.
- Dogo: Ha! That does it.
- Nala: This is not the good time to laugh, kid. Your pride is calling on you.
- Dogo: *sigh*
- Subira: Goodbye Dogo.
- Jengo: This is such a tragedy to our kingdom.
- Dogo: I'll be back soon. *walk down the peak to catch up with the Asislanders*
- Bakari: *get up and look at Dogo* You're in big trouble...KID!
- Dogo: Master, i'm sorry.
- Bakari: Sorry doesn't help it to cheer up. We're going home to your parents. Come on my pride. One day when I come back, we'll plot a attack on those Pridelanders and will be sorry for the Pridelander-Outsider War at the gorge! *roar*
(As the Asislanders left, the Pridelanders, Timon, Mody, Dacey, Pumbaa, Rafiki and Zazu return to Pride Rock to see Subira and Jengo as the cubs smile, but they all look upset right after the battle with the cubs worried)
- Subira: Well, it's not a good time to celebrate.
- Jengo: What's wrong.
- Kiara: Subira, we're disappointed in you.
- Kopa: You try to not disobey us, but the whole Pride Lands.
- Timon: We could have gotten killed!
- Subira: Timon, you were with us.
- Timon: Yeah, but making a friend that's related to the threat of the pride is no good!
- Pumbaa: We all could have been dead meat!
- Mody: Oh, what a shame.
- Dacey: It all goes downhill in one.
- Rafiki: *shook head* Kids, kids, kids. We got some explaining to do at night.
- Subira: Hate to say it, we blew it.
- Vitani: How am I related to the grandfather of the murderous lion in the world.
- Kopa: I have no idea.
- Kovu: And I thought Nuka was the crazy one.
- Simba: Let's go back to the den.
- Nala: I felt bad for those animals who were attacked by those bad lions.
- Simba: There have always been bad lions in these prides, and second of all, all of them aren't nice when one pride step in another pride like we did in the Outlands.
- Kiara: The Outlands is no different from the Pride Lands.
- Simba: We're just lions.
- Kiara: All animals aside.
(Back at the Asis Pride, Bakari, Dogo and the rest of the Asislanders return to the pride as the parents of Dogo show up with Aamori after the fight in the Pride Lands)
- Bakari: We have returned. Sorry to take so long on the comeback. The Pride Lands are a mean pride, full of biased protected Pridelanders. Adem and Yeshi, i present you back you son.
- Adem: Dogo.
- Yeshi: What happen out there?
- Dogo: Mom, dad, there was a fight far away.
- Adem: You could have gotten yourself killed. Those strangers are not our friends.
- Yeshi: They're all our enemies. Never before with the other lions.
- Aamori: I thought the lions were all Outlanders.
- Bakari: Never more the bad lions. I wouldn't ramble for another year trying to set up a attack on a lion's pride. I have taken over everything under my daughter's siege.
- Aamori: Zira's gone. So is Scar.
- Bakari: Few Outsiders were killed from starvation. But we're going to fight back against this Simba lion and destroy all of the Pride Lands to create a new pride, full of ashes.
- Dogo: *walk home with his parents* I don't like the king. He's just notorious and selfish at the same time. I don't know what we're gonna do with him. Exile him with the bad animals in the dump?
- Adem: Dogo, he's the king. You have to follow the king what he order for us.
- Dogo: All he does is control us and try to train to hunt on other animals. We're different from them, not like we ever was.
- Yeshi: One day Dogo when you grow up, you're going to prey on animals and that's what we're build on.
- Adem: The Great Spirit create us all. We were made to train, protect, kill, eat and fight!
- Dogo: I can't be another Bakari when I grow up.
- Adem: Then act normal. Be like us.
- Dogo: Okay. I don't know what is going to happen to all the other prides when we go out in the future to prey.
- Adem: You always have to hunt to eat and survive.
- Yeshi: Practices first.
- Dogo: *look up in the sky* Don't worry Subira, i'll promise to make a comeback to you someday.
(At night, the Pridelanders are about to sleep at Pride Rock as the family is at the den, discussing to Subira and Jengo about safety and trouble)
- Simba: If you see a strange lion, don't talk to the stranger. If you see any trouble from the strange lion, don't respond back! Do you understand?
- Jengo: Yes grandpa.
- Subira: We surrender.
- Simba: Don't try surrender if any bad lion from another pride come at us for a kill.
- Nala: This is real serious.
- Kopa: Get some sleep. We'll have new days to come in the future.
- Kiara: We'll have another day tomorrow.
- Subira: Okay mom.
- Jengo: Always have my word with you.
- Timon: Talk about your fixer-upper here.
- Pumbaa: *yawn* I must be resting on my nails.
- Mody: Make up to yourself.
- Dacey: I'm calling it a night.
- Subira: Goodnight you guys.
- Kovu: Goodnight Subira.
- Jengo: Sweet dreams.
- Vitani: Don't let the bed bugs bite.
- Jengo: No bed bugs, and we're all good. *sleep with the pride*
- Zazu: *see the Pridelanders sleeping* And, we're wrapping up. *fly out of Pride Rock*
(At Rafiki's tree, Rafiki is painting on the wall with a picture of Subira and Jengo as he look into the old paintings of Simba, Nala, Kiara and Kovu)
- Rafiki: Oh Mufasa. Are you seeing what i'm seeing? How can a new generation fail us like before? They need to know better. A new princess and prince can't fail to make sure another Circle of Life is complete, and the Pride's future will always be secure. *wind bows at the paintings* Stop it! You're blowing on me! That's enough. Don't break the circle. Stop repeating history. No more blowing. Good. Hmm. *paint a painting of Dogo* Where did that cub come from? *suspicious about Dogo*
