This chapter is called "Life Lessons in Meerkat Town".
Plot[]
(The next morning, Timon and Pumbaa wake up from their nest bed in their room in Pride Rock as a new day starts following the incident back at the Outlands)
- Timon: *yawn* Ah. Another morning in the Pride Lands.
- Pumbaa: *yawn* Ooh wee. What Simba want from us right now?
- Timon: I don't know. We should check and find out.
- Pumbaa: We'll see what we can do.
(Timon and Pumbaa leave their cave room at Pride Rock and walk to the peak as they catch up with Simba and Zazu)
- Zazu: Look sire. Our friends have arrived.
- Simba: Good morning boys.
- Timon: Good morning to you, your majesty.
- Pumbaa: A new day to shine.
- Zazu: Well hello boys. Since you didn't protect Kiara yesterday from those Outsiders, we got a new lesson for you to learn today.
- Timon: Oh, if anything you like, go right ahead.
- Pumbaa: Make it quick.
- Simba: Ever wonder traveling to a place far away from home?
- Timon: Far away? Like what do you mean?
- Pumbaa: Go back to the jungle with no worries?
- Simba: No. I thought you needed some life lessons today.
- Zazu: And no funny stuff! We're watching you too!
- Timon: Right.
- Pumbaa: Don't make a sound, don't make a buzz.
- Simba: There's a place I reccomaend you guys to go to. When my father was alive, he went to a meerkat colony far away where they learn how to be tough and act brave to fight back predators.
- Zazu: I was there too. A meerkat leader once told me to never turn back on the group and defeat all the predators at once.
- Timon: Like a pinkie swear?
- Zazu: No. They be kicking rocks and throwing mud at each predator, like the hyenas!
- Pumbaa: *shrieks* Hyenas!
- Timon: Not them. I hate hyenas.
- Simba: No need to shriek you guys. We're only telling you the brave stuff.
- Zazu: And no funny stuff! I told you about this!
- Timon: We were not! You got us scared in the first place.
- Pumbaa: Ever time a predator is mentioned, we get scared and remind how scary they were.
- Simba: You don't have to worry about the troubles that get into you. We want you to learn about being safe and going tough.
- Zazu: Fear isn't going to be around your lives forever you know.
- Timon: Then why did you fear us when we mention that word?
- Zazu: Sorry about that. Never wanna say that again in front of your rubbish faces.
- Pumbaa: I thought I was a stubborn.
- Simba: Anyways, it's gonna get better when you go out to a new place and learn a few new words and meaning that put into your mind. There's a place far away I reccomend you to go that Zazu have been to once in his lifetime when Mufasa was king.
- Timon: What is it?
- Pumbaa: Did you told us already? I can't remember.
- Simba: I want you all to go to the Meerkat Town to meet the duke. The duke is a very nice person who give many advices and wisdoms to my father and Zazu.
- Zazu: People call them the duke of the guards like the guards of the duties, whatever they're called. He is also a good friend of the late Mufasa.
- Timon: Oh, I see. That's why we're going.
- Pumbaa: With empathy!
- Timon: The question is. Who is going to take care of Kiara while we're out.
- Simba: I'll have Sarabi and Sarafina watch her over while me, Nala and Zazu are going to have a meeting at the top.
- Kiara: *show up* Hello.
- Simba: Kiara, while Timon and Pumbaa are off, Sarabi and Sarafina will take good care of you.
- Kiara: Okay.
- Sarabi: Did somebody call us as the babysitters today?
- Sarafina: Ooh, we have a cub to babysit.
- Nala: She isn't going nowhere today after the incident from yesterday.
- Timon: Sarabi and Sarafina will babysit Kiara while we're gone? Sound delightful.
- Pumbaa: We'll do anything other than babysitting for a good.
- Simba: I can count on you guys. I believe in you.
- Timon: I know you can. We're trustful.
- Pumbaa: Anyone else agree on that?
- Zazu: Yes. We do.
- Sarabi: You guys can do it.
- Sarafina: Take a break from babysitting for a while.
- Kiara: I'm gonna miss these guys so much.
- Simba: Don't worry Kiara. The boys will be back while Sarabi and Sarafina watch you guys over.
- Zazu: Our boys will be off to go somewhere to learn something new.
- Timon: Get ready Pumbaa. We're off to go to the town full of meerkats.
- Pumbaa: Hop on. We're on a roll.
- Timon: How far is the town?
- Zazu: Far away and few blocks from the desert.
- Pumbaa: Look like we'll be good to go to the wild.
- Kiara: I wish you guys the best of luck.
- Simba: See you guys in a while.
- Timon: Alright, let's rock and roll.
- Pumbaa: Here we go! *he and Timon leave Pride Rock to head to the desert*
- Zazu: Here they go.
- Simba: And they're off to new wonders.
- Timon: Woo! I can feel the wind!
- Pumbaa: The sand isn't going to stop us from falling into quick sand anytime soon.
- Timon: Forget quick sand! We'll be off to the rocky ruins and finding a colony with power and dignity!
- Pumbaa: The Circle of Life will be watching and awaits to the new world!
- Timon: *narrate* We'll be exploring to new wonders when we get to the town full of meerkats, right Pumbaa?
- Pumbaa: *narrate* How far is it?
- Timon: *narrate* Weren't you paying attention? It's as far as the desert. In fact, it's in the desert!
- Pumbaa: *narrate* This is the part where travelers travel to places far far away from home, to fulfill their destiny!
(Back at the Outlands, we head through the rustland with animal skeletons on the sand and bugs crawling into the hole with the lions living in the termite mounds as most of the lioness fight over food with Zira watching over her pride in starvation, thinking about a plan)
- Zira: Well, well, well. What are we even planning this time?
- Kovu: Mom, this place is starting to stink a bit. Why can't we find a place somewhere warm and sunny with food and water?
- Zira: No one is going anywhere, Kovu! This is our home and you either like it in here, you'll enjoy it as much despite being poor.
- Vitani: Mom, the tunnels are collpasing in the mounds again and Nuka tear them all down.
- Nuka: What?! I didn't do all of this?!
- Zira: Slience! I know it's one of you. You destroyed your own homes and one of you is your own fault. What a shame. Why do I have to deal with incels like you.
- Vitani: He started it.
- Nuka: No I did not!
- Kovu: Like what happen? I wasn't there for anything, but my spot.
- Zira: You two go to your new room and think what you've done.
- Vitani: Thanks a lot, brother!
- Nuka: You know what? You're a nag!
- Vitani: Don't think about getting my food over a kill.
- Nuka: I wouldn't gotten away if it weren't for the termites.
- Zira: Such fools that needed to train better if it weren't for the Outlands!
- Outsider #1: Zira, a dry lake has been reported. Also, the water is getting real low.
- Zira: Just poor. We're still struggling on finding food in the ruins.
- Outsider #2: Almost all the details we found are full of animal skeletons. No food, no fruits, no vegetables.
- Zira: There's nothing? How are we going to survive?
- Outsider #3: By killing each other?
- Zira: Think better. Take Kovu to the watering hole. I'm pretty sure there is plenty of water left for all of us to drink.
- Outsider #4: Will do.
- Kovu: Do we really have to go?
- Zira: No. You go with some fellow Outsiders while I have some assignments to do.
- Kovu: Bye mom.
- Outsider #1: Come on kiddo.
- Outsider #2: The Outlands isn't going to hold us back for some water.
- Zira: You, boys. Come here.
- Outsider Boy #1: Ugh, Zira. What do you want.
- Zira: You know what I want and what you want.
- Outsider Boy #2: Is it time where we get a new fresh meat of zebra? Pffft! All the food out there is rotten as the ones in the Crocodile Bay.
- Outsider Boy #3: What did you order this time?
- Zira: I have a job for you boys. Are you up to spy on Simba and his little pride?
- Outsider Boy #1: Didn't we all got exiled by this loudsy lion a while back?
- Outsider Boy #2: It feels a lot like yesterday.
- Zira: It feels more like today. We stink every other lion and we still don't have a home!
- Outsider Boy #3: I thought we are already home.
- Zira: No we're not! We're poor, dusty, rusty, and living in a cave full of grubs and no food to feed from.
- Outsider Boy #1: But how do we find food and hunt for ourselves?
- Zira: Good question. You guys are going to go hunting and track down any animal that stand into our way.
- Outsider Boy #2: There was almost never a sane animal in the territory. Sounds lame.
- Zira: I'll show you lame! *claw out an outsider boy*
- Outsider Boy #2: Ow! That is lame.
- Zira: I know every animal that deserve to be hunted in the likes of Simba and that fellow meerkat. Who said to get out of my Pride Lands?! I own the Pride Lands and Scar! I am sending you guys to go after the Pride Landers and kill Simba, the meerkat and his warthog friend. They all deserve a lesson and three.
- Outsider Boy #1: Yes master. We won't let you down.
- Outsider Boy #2: We won't fail you, your highness.
- Zira: You wouldn't call me your highness if I were a queen of the rock. *slap an outsider boy*
- Outsider Boy #2: *cover his face from the pain* Not again.
- Outsider Boy #3: Ooh, she doesn't like you.
- Outsider Boy #2: Shut up! I have a itch on the outside!
- Zira: You three go on. Enjoy and feast after those party animals! Now go!
- Outsider Boy #1: Come on boys. We have a killing order to make. *he and his group head out*
- Outsider Boy #2: The hunting never get old!
- Outsider Boy #3: We're gonna order a meal at Pride Rock!
- Zira: I'll see them back before dark. Soon, all of the savannah will be ours. *laugh*
(Back with Timon and Pumbaa, the duo is headed to the desert as they pass by the rocks and trees on the way)
- Timon: Jeez, the sun's getting hot in here.
- Pumbaa: Why is it hot when we're on a desert?
- Timon: Cause it's the desert! Every desert is suppose to be low in a high temperature.
- Pumbaa: Can we find some shade to cool down a bit. I'm sweating like a sand bag.
- Timon: Pumbaa, we're almost there. The Meerkat Town is only miles to get to the bottom of the place.
- Pumbaa: There gotta be any water in the town.
- Timon: We will find some water when we get there.
- Pumbaa: Make it quick! My tongue is thristy for some juice!
(While Timon and Pumbaa continue running in the desert, the Outsider Boys sneak into the rock as they track down Timon and Pumbaa in the desert)
- Outsider Boy #1: Here it is boys, lunch.
- Outsider Boy #2: It's snack and dinner combined.
- Outsider Boy #3: So this is one of Simba's allies, huh?
- Outsider Boy #1: the meerkat and warthog. They're one of them.
- Outsider Boy #2: Someone better be picking on the peaking order.
- Outsider Boy #3: These fur-brains got something in mind. *slurp his tongue*
- Outsider Boy #1: We're gonna kill both of them for prey.
- Outsider Boy #2: We have been ordered to hunt them down as Zira promised.
- Outsider Boy #3: Follow along. The desert won't take us long to get to their desination.
(Timon and Pumbaa continue running as they stop by in a territory shaped as a circle with the gates being guarded by meerkats as they walk up to the guards on their arrival)
- Timon: What is that?
- Pumbaa: Is that the gate to the town?
- Timon: I don't remember going to a town with a fence or force field.
- Pumbaa: What the? This is our first time coming here!
- Timon: I know, but we don't know if the town is a community or not.
- Pumbaa: Well let's go take a step.
- Timon: You don't know what it's like to be in a town, do you.
- Pumbaa: Uh, cut to the chase, please.
- Meerkat Guard #1: Sir, we got guests coming in.
- Meerkat Guard #2: Oh. Hello there my friends. How can we help you?
- Timon: Hi, we're new here.
- Pumbaa: Any grubs or food to serve?
- Meerkat Guard #1: Where are you coming from?
- Timon: From the Pride Lands. We were brought my King Simba here.
- Meerkat Guard #2: You know King Simba?!
- Pumbaa: Well, yes! You know him as the offspring of Mufasa and Sarabi.
- Meerkat Guard #1: Oh, it's an honor! You guys serve Simba very well.
- Meerkat Guard #2: He has a hornbill friend with him. Isn't Mufasa still the king after all?
- Timon: Sadly, he died.
- Pumbaa: His son told me he was killed on a stampede by his uncle Scar.
- Meerkat Guard #1: Ooh, we are very sorry for his loss.
- Meerkat Guard #2: I knew that uncle Scar was a maniac.
- Timon: Glad we raised a lion to help him grow and fight back his uncle to saving the Pride Lands.
- Pumbaa: All the peace and life came back after claiming his throne.
- Meerkat Guard #1: That's good to hear. You are welcomed to come to the Meerkat Town any time.
- Meerkat Guard #2: Enjoy and make yourself at home. *open the gates to the Meerkat Town*
- Pumbaa: Wow.
- Timon: No way.
- Pumbaa: Ain't this cool?
- Timon: Come on. Let's check it out.
- Pumbaa: Here we go.
- Timon: Right behind ya.
- Meerkat Guard #1: Happy shopping.
- Meerkat Guard #2: They're gonna love it as much as a boat.
(Timon and Pumbaa arrive at Meerkat Town as they see a meerkat colony walking and building many tunnels and buildings made of mud and clay with a castle ruled by the duke)
- Timon: Here we are pal. To Meerkat Town!
- Pumbaa: Whoa. Look at the go.
- Timon: I've never seen a town where everyone is so intellagence and design everything compared to what we diggers used to do.
- Pumbaa: At least, they're not like moles and mongooses in the wild.
- Timon: It look more like a territory in here. Very clever.
- Pumbaa: How about we check out the town.
- Timon: You said it. Here we go.
- Pumbaa: Let's hope the traffic isn't long as the Pride Lands.
(Timon and Pumbaa walk into the Meerkat Town by passing by crowds of meerkats and shop vendors selling grubs, fruits and vegetables here)
- Timon: Whoa. The whole colony is full of meerkats!
- Pumbaa: Uh oh. I am not so well in crowds.
- Timon: Come on Pumbaa. You always say that when we're close to people like the ones at the Pride Lands.
- Pumbaa: Is there any shortcut we can take to pass the crowds?
- Timon: Pumbaa, my conscious pal. We can take a expressway with the shops.
- Pumbaa: Are you really sure about that?
- Timon: Yeah, why not? Let's go take a expressway to the streets!
- Pumbaa: I'm not excited, but fine.
- Timon: Excuse us, coming through. Pardon me.
- Pumbaa: Whoa, oh, woah! Take it easy!
- Timon: Pumbaa, don't step on the tails.
- Pumbaa: I'm trying. I just don't wanna get close to people when I get close or attact to them.
- Timon: Don't try to bump them.
- Pumbaa: I'm not!
- Timon: Silly you! I heard they have some grubs at the food market!
- Pumbaa: Grubs!
- Timon: You know what you love. Let's go grab them!
- Pumbaa: Sure thing!
- Shop Vendor: Hello my fellow customers. Grubs, fruits and vegetables. Free for all.
- Timon: Free grubs for everyone.
- Pumbaa: Time to eat them up!
- Shop Vendor: Enjoy! Hope you love them as we found them with love.
- Timon: *eat the grubs* Crunchy!
- Pumbaa: *eat the grubs* Gosh, it taste like a gummy in here.
- Timon: You sure bet.
- Pumbaa: They're local and they're from right there.
- Timon: Sure does.
- Pumbaa: Slimy, crunchy and gloomy!
- Shop Vendor: Happy shopping!
- Timon: These never get old.
- Pumbaa: The grubs taste better than the ones at home.
- Timon: Glad you didn't spit them out before we could start an argument.
- Pumbaa: I wasn't going to spit them out and complain.
- Timon: Oh well. Let's go check out some cool places in the town.
- Pumbaa: I wonder what's on the avenue.
- Shop Vendor: I love my customers so much.
- Timon: Ooh, they got statues.
- Pumbaa: Like famous people!
- Timon: We are famous. We deserve a statue of our own.
- Pumbaa: Our name should be on everything!
- Timon: Talk about some fame here.
- Pumbaa: We trapped the hyenas. That's what being a hero for.
- Timon: You're right. I even manage to beat a bunch of Outsiders when they were attacking Simba on the first attack.
- Pumbaa: Good thing that they are exiled for good before they can strike on the rock.
- Timon: You know what they say.
- Pumbaa: We never turn back on good guys.
- Timon: Let's go check out in the alley for what's up.
- Pumbaa: In the alley? Why?
- Timon: To look for grubs.
- Pumbaa: Ooh. Grubs grubs grubs! Come to papa!
(Timon and Pumbaa head over to the alley of the town as they see dead grubs on the ground, disgusting the duo over real food)
- Timon: Ugh, what is that?
- Pumbaa: Why the grubs look dead?
- Timon: They're rotten! We can't eat that.
- Pumbaa: I'm gonna be sick. Where's the real food?
- Timon: I don't know. Why would people leave their garbage here?
- Pumbaa: That is gross! Blah!
- Timon: Not in my book. We need to find some food around here.
- Pumbaa: But where?
- Timon: *point at the hole* In this hole!
- Pumbaa: Oh, you mean that?
- Timon: Yeah, sure. Why not? Let's go inside and find out.
- Pumbaa: There better be some clues on the inside.
(Timon and Pumbaa dug into the hole and break into the place as they found themselves a place full of dead grubs on the ground)
- Timon: This place is as sneaky as the tunnels. We better find some grubs here.
- Pumbaa: They're not on the holes.
- Timon: Then why there some grubs lying on the ground?
- Pumbaa: I ask the same thing!
- Timon: *point at a grub* Isn't that a grub over there?
- Pumbaa: Grub!
- Timon: Ooh wee. It's our lucky day.
- Pumbaa: Let's go eat it and share it!
- Monti: Well, well, well. Where do you think you're going?
- Timon: Huh? Who said that?
- Pumbaa: It wasn't me.
- Baampu: Oh, are you looking for trouble?
- Pumbaa: Whoa! A blue warthog! Never seen one of those.
- Timon: How unique it is.
- Baampu: Are you making fun of me?
- Timon: Uh, no.
- Pumbaa: We're not.
- Monti: Then why are you standing in my way, stranger!
- Timon: Why you're calling me a stranger?
- Monti: You're a far-walker, huh? Have you been to the Outlands before?
- Timon: Well, I've been to the Outlands. And it's quite scary.
- Baampu: The Outlands is full of danger and thought. No one should ever go there, at all.
- Pumbaa: One of our friends' cubs went there and fall into danger. It was an accident.
- Baampu: An accident?! You brought a cub into danger?!
- Pumbaa: No, no. She put is in danger.
- Monti: Why can we trust you if you have any relation to the Outlands?
- Timon: We didn't cause trouble in the Outlands. I swear!
- Monti: You look familiar than I thought. Have I met you before?
- Timon: No. I thought you look like a guy named Monti at Monti.
- Monti: Monti is my name. I thought you look like a guy named Timon. *realized* Timon?
- Timon: Monti, is that you?
- Monti: Timon? Is it really you?
- Timon: Yes... Monti!
- Monti: Timon! What a relief, it's so good to see you!
- Timon: We have been reunited!
- Monti: We haven't seen each other in years!
- Timon: We know each other since childhood.
- Monti: Yeah. The reunion is here at last.
- Pumbaa: Hey, you're blue.
- Baampu: And you're red.
- Pumbaa: What is so special about you?
- Baampu: Nothing. You got a problem with that, warthog?
- Timon: Whoa, a blue warthog? How's original! Is he rare like a golden goose?
- Monti: Guys, meet Baampu. A warthog.
- Timon: I have a warthog too! Meet Pumbaa!
- Pumbaa: Pum-baa!
- Timon: The gang's all cooking together. Make yourself at home.
- Pumbaa: I'm red, you're blue, we mix and match with green!
- Baampu: The greenier the better when we eat grass!
- Monti: What brings you here, Mr. Timon?
- Timon: Long time no see since childhood. I haven't seen your face in years.
- Monti: What a relief. You look exactly the same.
- Timon: So does you.
- Monti: Oh really? I thought I look like a twin.
- Pumbaa: I was going to say that.
- Baampu: Me too!
- Pumbaa: Do you make a stink?
- Baampu: Not really. I'm always clean and take a shower every day.
- Pumbaa: I do too!
- Baampu: I like mine with soap and bubbles.
- Timon: There's something common about you guys.
- Monti: What about us?
- Baampu: Anything particular?
- Pumbaa: Are you talking about me?
- Monti: You guys look alike. Like twins.
- Timon: We're twins!
- Pumbaa: And us!
- Baampu: Beats me.
- Timon: How long you been gone for?
- Monti: Me and the family moved. The underground haven't been this healthy since the trouble times.
- Timon: Oh Monti, you're gonna love it here. We just moved the colony into a paradise jungle with no predators and free food for all!
- Monti: Oh wow. Sound like fun that we can go to.
- Baampu: I hope they have fruits.
- Pumbaa: They do have fruits in the jungle.
- Monti: Oh, we gotta tell Fred about it.
- Timon: Fred? Who's Fred?
- Pumbaa: You mean Freddy? I know a guy named Freddy who was an ox.
- Monti: No. Fred is a meerkat. Come here Fred!
- Fred: *show up* Did somebody call my name?! *laugh*
- Timon: Boy, that is one wacky meerkat here.
- Pumbaa: I thought he was a comedian.
- Fred: *laugh* Ah ha ha ha! I can't believe there's two of you!
- Timon: Excuse me. I'm Timon. He's Pumbaa.
- Pumbaa: The warthog.
- Fred: Timon and Pumbaa. Oh. Nice seeing ya.
- Timon: Well thanks.
- Pumbaa: It is a pleasure to see you.
- Baampu: These guys look like us! I can't believe it.
- Monti: Stand-ins coming at you live.
- Fred: So what brings you here, folks?
- Timon: We were brought by King Simba.
- Pumbaa: He's the new king of Pride Rock now.
- Fred: King Zimba?
- Timon: Not Zimba! Simba! He is born to the late Mufasa and Sarabi!
- Pumbaa: You know his name. Don't you?
- Fred: Oh, Simba! With an S.
- Timon: Yes.
- Fred: And ends with an A, right?
- Pumbaa: Yes. And yes!
- Fred: Ah ha! I knew Simba is his name like Bingo! *laugh*
- Timon: Ha ha. Very funny Fred.
- Pumbaa: We can't believe him.
- Monti: He has been our friend for so long.
- Baampu: Very clever, but funny guy at the same guy.
- Captain: *show up with the guards* Halt! Monti and Baampu, we have to inform you that the meeting with the duke is about to start.
- Monti: Great. Hope the Duke can give us some good news to share.
- Baampu: I'll be happy to share a appetite with the supervisors.
- Timon: What's going on?
- Pumbaa: Who in the world is that?
- Captain: Greetings, gentlemen. I am the Captain of the Guards! You two must be the guests coming in, right?
- Timon: Well yes sir. We are visiting from the Pride Lands.
- Pumbaa: I'm Pumbaa. He's Timon.
- Captain: You guys are from the Pride Lands? It is a honor to see you all! You guys need to be reported to the duke!
- Timon: Are we in trouble?
- Captain: No! Follow us! The duke got something for you all!
- Pumbaa: We never actually met the duke. But we're going in.
- Fred: Hoo hoo hoo!
- Monti: Talk about these wise guys.
- Baampu: Pretty smart I say.
- Timon: Where are we going?
- Pumbaa: Come on, we gotta go.
- Captain: One step at a time.
- Fred: Wahoo! Here we go.
- Monti: I wonder where the message is sending.
- Baampu: There gotta be a clue in this.
(Timon, Pumbaa and the meerkats walked into the Duke's castle as they meet up with the Duke Meerkat in the throne)
- Captain: Duke, we have arrived with our fellow friends.
- Monti: Greetings, master. We come in peace.
- Baampu: Sanatations.
- Duke Meerkat: Hello my friends. What brings you here?
- Timon: Oh, hi. We came here for a little visit.
- Pumbaa: We're from far away.
- Duke Meerkat: You're far-walkers, huh? I expect to see some benefits from one of you.
- Timon: What benefits?
- Pumbaa: Like special skills?
- Fred: He meant your resume!
- Timon: Oh. I was a tunnel digger, but not anymore.
- Pumbaa: I'm not a crowd-type person, especially on my biggest mistake I did when going to that big pointy rock.
- Duke Meerkat: Oh, funny you. You guys are pretty wacky in my book. I think you need some benefits to fit into your skills.
- Monti: What do you guys eat for lunch?
- Timon: Grubs! Just grubs!
- Pumbaa: I like mine crunchy.
- Duke Meerkat? Grubs?! Where are your skills. What lessons do you have to learn?
- Timon: What are you talking about? We came here for life lessons.
- Pumbaa: We learned from the monkey, from the lion, and from the hornbill.
- Duke Meerkat: You know the lion, monkey and hornbill?
- Timon: Yes. Is there something you need to ask?
- Duke Meerkat: I haven't heard anything about these guys since Mufasa's visit.
- Pumbaa: Oh, we have to warn you the bad news that Mufasa is gone.
- Duke Meerkat: Oh no. I am very sorry for his loss and he will be missed in our hearts.
- Timon: His journey ended too soon.
- Pumbaa: It was a sad story, we weren't there for it.
- Captain: I lost most of my friends due to hyena attacks in the past.
- Duke Meerkat: Anyways, have anyone met my daugther before?
- Timon: Daughter? You have a daughter?
- Pumbaa: You never told us that you have a daughter!
- Duke Meerkat: I do! She is on her way to the court.
- Monti: Oh, she'll be here any minute.
- Baampu: The princess got something to say.
- Fred: Anything important!
- Timon: I hear footsteps.
- Pumbaa: I think she's coming in.
- Duke Meerkat: Here she is. Meet Tatiana!
- Tatiana: *show up* Hi. I'm Tatiana. Princess of the Meerkat Town. Daughter of the Duke. What brings you here in honor?
- Timon: Oh, my!
- Pumbaa: Timon, what's the matter?
- Timon: She's... she's....
- Pumbaa: She's what?
- Timon: She's beautiful!
- Tatiana: A honor! Another prince. How much potential he has, father.
- Duke Meerkat: Hey prince. *snap his fingers* Snap out of it. Stop daydreaming and look at her!
- Timon: I am! I am just getting the looks of it.
- Pumbaa: Come on man. You know better.
- Timon: But I'm not in trouble.
- Monti: Guy is pretty weird sometimes.
- Baampu: Is he nuts?
- Fred: Gosh, he's pretty loco on the inside.
- Duke Meerkat: Tatiana, will you please give some details to our guests.
- Tatiana: Oh sure. Friends, welcome to the Meerkat Town. We have a lot of help to contribute. Some of our friends are struggling with fear. I know you guys can help out on helping others in need of help. I would appreciate it.
- Timon: We will help some people in need of help.
- Pumbaa: We used to help people back at the jungle.
- Timon: Someting our philisopy have learned about. There will be no more worries left after we help the people out.
- Tatiana: Thank you! I would be proud to call one of my helpers some volunteers.
- Pumbaa: Volunteers! I love it!
- Monti: Volunteers, eh? They like to help out.
- Baampu: Same old style.
- Fred: I help with the fruits. He he.
- Duke Meerkat: A honor! I hope these two will be a good fit to help our colony.
- Timon: Thanks Duke. You have our words.
- Pumbaa: We won't let you down and Simba.
- Tatiana: This Simba person will know how well you will do in our territory. We give others to give respect and show among peers on who we are.
- Duke Meerkat: That's what everyone should be focused on!
- Captain: You heard him. You will learn, you can, you must and you will not give up. Learn some advices from my boss.
- Duke Meerkat: That's right Captain. You will be free to eat many food you like once you help our fellow meerkats in need of support.
- Timon: Gonna work right now.
- Pumbaa: Nothing can hold us back.
- Monti: Good. Let's go outside.
- Baampu: Grab some fresh air and relax.
- Fred: Ooh boy.
- Tatiana: I really like these guys. I think they got heart and courage to become brave people like us.
- Duke Meerkat: They can be trustworthy as long they don't make a mistake.
- Captain: I love being a captain.
(Meanwhile outside, the Outsider Boys arrive at the entrance of the Meerkat Town as they are about to begin their strike to the territory)
- Outsider Boy #1: What is this?
- Outsider Boy #2: We found ourselves a territory.
- Outsider Boy #3: We've got so much work to do in the colony.
- Outsider Boy #1: Smell like victory to me. We finally found the place where the meerkat and warthog went.
- Outsider Boy #2: You know they're in there?
- Outsider Boy #3: We just followed the footsteps.
- Outsider Boy #1: I seek for a prey, a killing, and a solution. We're going there now to hunt down some meerkats.
- Outsider Boy #2: We hope to see them scramble.
- Outsider Boy #3: Let's get them.
- Outsider Boy #1: We'll see what's on the menu.
- Outsider Boy #2: I'll say, meerkat.
- Outsider Boy #3: Meerkat for lunch.
(The Outsider Boys sneaked into the gates of the territory by scaring some meerkat guards in the way)
- Meerkat Guard #1: Zoinks! Lions!
- Outsider Boy #1: Out of the way boys. The place's ours.
- Meerkat Guard #2: We're in stranger danger!
- Meerkat Guard #3: Run away!
- Outsider Boy #2: Alright boys! Let's dig in.
- Outsider Boy #3: Time for some meat and ham!
(Back at the Meerkat Town, Timon, Pumbaa and the meerkats went outside to check around the territory with some fellow meerkats to help)
- Timon: Nice day we're having.
- Pumbaa: It's so good out there.
- Fred: The sun is giving us the heat!
- Duke Meerkat: We're a peaceful colony, we never had any complaints on our citizens ever since.
- Tatiana: We got the community working. Hopefully you guys can find some people to help with and socialize.
- Captain: The territory is always watching.
- Timon: Anyone is happy today, but asking for help.
- Pumbaa: You know.
- Tatiana: Try looking for people to follow. I hope you can contribute on the tasks.
- Monti: Everyone seem so calm and patience today. I can tell.
- Baampu: I'm amazed by the looks of the people.
- Fred: They're not staring at us, are they?
- Timon: How many people do we pick?
- Pumbaa: I don't know. In teams?
- Timon: It's hard to think with all the people begging for help in terms of socializing.
- Pumbaa: Maybe volunteering isn't our thing and we should go home.
(The Outsider Boys break into the colony by scaring off the meerkats and scrambling them out for a attack)
- Outsider Boy #1: Hello small creatures! We got some lunch to prey!
- Pumbaa: Yikes!
- Timon: Ah! Predators!
- Captain: Duke, the predators are attacking!
- Duke Meerkat: Crikey! We are under attack! Dig underground and lock the doors!
- Tatiana: Daddy, what about the people?!
- Duke Meerkat: The people will find a way out of this.
- Captain: Hide in the hole! *he and the meerkat guards dig under the hole*
- Outsider Boy #2: *tear down some mounds* Who's up for some killing?!
- Outsider Boy #3: Where did the Pride Landers go?!
- Timon: They're tearing down the territory?
- Pumbaa: What do we do?
- Monti: I'll say we fight them back.
- Baampu: Aren't we suppose to hide?
- Fred: You're a warthog. You can't dig to hide.
- Outsider Boy #1: *point at Pumbaa* You.
- Pumbaa: Zoinks! He caught us!
- Timon: Run for your lives!
- Fred: Right behind you! *he and his friends run*
- Outsider Boy #2: They're getting away. Don't just stand there. Get them with misery!
- Outsider Boy #3: The lunch and dinner is trying to run away from us!
(Timon, Pumbaa, Monti, Baampu and Fred run all over the town while the meerkats are running while the Outsider Boys are trying to go after them)
- Timon: Hurry hurry hurry!
- Pumbaa: Faster faster faster!
- Monti: There gotta be a hiding spot somewhere!
- Baampu: It's hard to find a hiding spot when you're stuck in a circle.
- Fred: We could have hide inside!
- Outsider Boy #1: There they are!
- Outsider Boy #2: Let's get them!
- Timon: Ah! They're gaining on us!
- Pumbaa: Hurry fast! We don't have much time!
- Outsider Boy #3: Have it your way, warthog! *claw out Pumbaa*
- Pumbaa: *trip the meerkats* Aw!
- Timon: Oof!
- Fred: That hurts!
- Monti: Stand back!
- Baampu: These lions are fierce as hyenas!
- Outsider Boy #1: Well, well, well. What do we got here?
- Timon: Stay away you are, Outsiders!
- Outsider Boy #2: You calling us Outsiders?
- Outsider Boy #3: You know who we are? *he and his team laugh*
- Pumbaa: Are you sure these guys are related to Zira?
- Monti: What's a Zira?
- Timon: What? You met her before. She was the wicked lion that tried to attack other lion prides and recently hurt Simba after Scar's death!
- Monti: Oh! Now I know what's going on!
- Baampu: I am so confused right now.
- Outsider Boy #1: We are indeed Outsiders. We were brought by Zira to kill you two Pride Landers working loyal to Simba.
- Timon: You were following us the whole time?
- Outsider Boy #2: You don't know what we're gonna do to you next.
- Pumbaa: You stalkers don't live here. You better get outta the way or something really bad is gonna happen!
- Outsider Boy #3: What kind of pig are you, red boar?
- Pumbaa: What did you called me?!
- Outsider Boy #3: A pig! Like oink oink pig!
- Pumbaa: How dare you mock me for who I am! People call me Mr. Pig cause I'm fat! Now I'm gonna show you a true meaning of a pig!
- Timon: Oh brother.
- Baampu: He's gonna rumble, is he?
- Pumbaa: *charge after the Outsider Boys* Aaah!
- Outsider Boy #2: Stand back!
- Outsider Boy #3: Look out!
(The screen suddenly switches to a animal doccumentary about lions living in Africa and standing with their pride)
- Narrator: The lion is a large cat of the genus Panthera, native to Africa and India. It has a muscular, broad-chested body; a short, rounded head; round ears; and a hairy tuft at the end of its tail. It is sexually dimorphic; adult male lions are larger than females and have a prominent mane.
- Timon: Hey, what happen to the movie? *look at Pumbaa, not amused* Pumbaa!
- Pumbaa: Oh, sorry! My bad. I thought it was a pillow.
- Timon: Why every time we watch a show, you always change the channel when you think of something squishy!?
- Pumbaa: Maybe I was daydreaming. Or, I don't know.
- Timon: You don't have to use an equipment to sit when you're already sitting in a chair.
- Pumbaa: Could have use a towel instead. *hold a remote and switch to the movie*
(We switch back to the movie to the part where Pumbaa charge at the Outsider Boys and fight them back by knocking and crawling them over)
- Timon: We should help!
- Monti: Let's make a roll for, boys!
- Fred: Yee-haw!
- Baampu: It's showtime.
- Pumbaa: *bump the Outsider Boys* You snooze!
- Outsider Boy #1: Get out of my sight!
- Timon: Take a bite of this! *jump and bite a outsider boy's ear*
- Outsider Boy #1: Aurgh! The pain!
- Monti: *throw some mud at a outsider boy* Eat this!
- Outsider Boy #2: Not the mud! I hate mud!
- Fred: *drop some sticks to crash on a outsider boy* Whoops!
- Outsider Boy #3: *roar and break the sticks* I had enough!
- Baampu: *knock down a outsider boy* Boom!
- Pumbaa: *knock out a outsider boy and push the other one down* You got no reason to live!
- Outsider Boy #1: Please, I'm sorry. We beg for mercy.
- Pumbaa: Don't you dare try to mock my appetite ever again.
- Outsider Boy #2: Oh. We'll pay you with grubs!
- Outsider Boy #3: Something that a carnivore likes.
- Timon: He doesn't even mean it.
- Pumbaa: You heard my man.
- Outsider Boy #1: What about your man?
- Pumbaa: *feel his body* Oh, not again.
- Monti: What's the matter?
- Baampu: You need to use a rest stop?
- Pumbaa: Don't look at me! It's happening again!
- Fred: Are you taking a pee?
- Outsider Boy #2: Anything but that, no!
- Outsider Boy #3: Don't start with that!
- Timon: He's gonna do it. I swear!
- Pumbaa: This thing's loaded. Do not panic!
- Outsider Boy #1: How would we like to panic?
- Outsider Boy #2: Let's get the warthog!
- Outsider Boy #3: Chow down!
- Timon: Pumbaa, look out!
- Pumbaa: Oh! *unleash a powerful explosion of a gas by scaring the outsider boys out of the territory*
- Outsider Boy #1: Let's run out of here!
- Outsider Boy #2: I'm gonna be sick!
- Outsider Boy #3: What was that explosion?! *he and the boys run out of the town*
- Pumbaa: *snorts like a bull* Ah yeah. I love to fart when I feel like.
- Timon: I love the smell of Pumbaa in the afternoon.
- Monti: What's that smell? Oh, it stinks!
- Baampu: It make me shiver on my tears!
- Fred: That was awesome! Do it again!
- Pumbaa: I think one time is good enough.
- Fred: Oh. How about for the next predator match?
- Pumbaa: *annoyed* Fred.
- Fred: Sorry.
- Duke Meerkat: *pop out of the hole* Is it over already?
- Timon: Yes. The Outsiders are gone. You can come out now.
- Duke Meerkat: Hey everybody! The danger is gone! Our saviors have saved us all!
- Everyone: *the meerkats pop out of the holes to cheer* Yay!
- Timon: Oh my. The colony.
- Pumbaa: They're praising us.
- Monti: We're like the saviors.
- Baampu: They like us all!
- Fred: Woo-wee!
- Duke Meerkat: You saved us all!
- Tatiana: You guys are heroes. How can we thank you?
- Timon: By helping others?
- Tatiana: I knew you guys are helpers and scare off those nasty predators trying to tear up our colony.
- Captain: Today you saved the day and hailed as heroes.
- Timon: Thank you, and thank you. We appreciate it.
- Pumbaa: We're the legends of all.
- Monti: Accidentally saved the day I guess.
- Baampu: Those Outsiders don't stand a chance.
- Fred: Beats me.
- Duke Meerkat: We got a festival to make to honor your heroism.
(After kicking the Outsider Boys out, the meerkat territory honor a celebration for Timon, Pumbaa, Monti, Baampu and Fred in the Meerkat Town by serving them grubs, fruits and vegetables in the grounds)
- Timon: Ooh, grubs.
- Pumbaa: Sweet treats!
- Monti: Fresh fruits. Not bad.
- Baampu: Anything the fruiter it goes.
- Fred: Mmm. Grubs good.
- Duke Meerkat: You guys serve us real good. I'm impressed.
- Tatiana: We almost never had heroes that can defend the predators in ten seconds.
- Captain: I feel like it been a minute.
- Timon: From what we learned on the wisdoms, we never give up and fight back from what's next.
- Pumbaa: Old animals have a lot of wisdom and it's full of humor.
- Fred: This guy get it. *laugh*
- Monti: There is always something about these guys.
- Baampu: Unique, brave and adventuious.
- Monti: That's what I like about adventures.
- Baampu: They be going on a journey.
- Duke Meerkat: You guys should be proud of saving the territory. I know you guys deserved everything you wanted and learn.
- Timon: Always about the wisdoms.
- Pumbaa: It never get old.
- Tatiana: You guys have an philopshy of your own, right?
- Timon: Oh. We got one. What it's called again? I forgot. Is it Lahuna Matata?
- Pumbaa: Hakuna Matata. It mean no worries.
- Captain: Hakuna Matata! I like the sound when we don't have to worry about any danger or trouble in the moment.
- Timon: We learned the phrase from the monkey years ago.
- Pumbaa: His name is Rafiki!
- Duke Meerkat: Rafiki! I know who that is. He used to give me a collection of mangoes when the late Mufasa was visitting our territory.
- Timon: I love when lion kings visit animal kingdoms and help them out with gifts.
- Pumbaa: They show a lot of respect to other animals without fighting, unlike the hyenas, snakes and cape dogs.
- Fred: Psssst, we do not talk about them.
- Duke Meerkat: I suggest a new philosphy for you guys when you have to stand still, be brave and fight the predators.
- Timon: Ooh, cool. We are about to develop one by the way.
- Pumbaa: What about our Hakuna Matata where we don't have to live out worry?
- Timon: Pumbaa, we don't live in the past anymore. It's time to learn something new with our motto.
- Pumbaa: What happen to not living out worry. Does that mean we're gonna fall into danger and get put in trouble? Something is up with your mind.
- Timon: My mind is not a mess. Changes are part of life. Whatever you like it or not, you gotta accept these changes and live out with it.
- Pumbaa: A caterpiller turn to a butterfly. That's change and a fact.
- Timon: That's right. What the new motto should be?
- Pumbaa: I don't know. "Be brave and act smart?"
- Timon: No. That's not it.
- Monti: "Kenya Be My Friend?"
- Pumbaa: No! That's not it?
- Baampu: "Lahuna Matutu?"
- Timon: No!
- Fred: "Easy coming?"
- Pumbaa: It's too short!
- Tatiana: How about "When the tough is going, the going get tough?"
- Pumbaa: Hmm?
- Timon: I got this one better. "When the going get tough, the tough get going."
- Pumbaa: Eureka! I like it!
- Monti: Bingo! You said it!
- Fred: Hoo hoo hoo! He got it!
- Pumbaa: Yay! Timon learned his lesson!
- Baampu: And I thought he was a goner.
- Duke Meerkat: When the going get tough, the tough get going. I approve!
- Tatiana: You guys are standing tough. I'm impressed.
- Captain: You hit the charts like hitting a whole new record.
- Timon: Well guys. Since we learned everything today, how about we burst into song?
- Monti: Yeah! Let's go with a song!
- Fred: Woo hoo!
- Pumbaa: Okie dokie! Let's do this!
- Baampu: Take it from the top, Timon boy!
- Timon: Alright! In song mode! *stomp and sing* When the going gets tough.
- Pumbaa: *stomp* The tough get going, tough, tough, huh, huh, huh.
- Monti: *stomp* When the going gets tough, the tough get ready.
- Baampu: *stomp* Tough, tough, tough.
- Fred: *jump high in a colorful imaginary background* Yeah, oh, do da do da.
- Timon: Musicial number time! *sing*

I got something to say
I'm gonna put this dream in motion
I Never let nothing stand in my way
- Pumbaa and Baampu: *pop in*
When the going gets touch
The tough get going
- Monti: *swim on a river*
I'm gonna get myself 'cross the river
That's the price I'm willing to pay
I'm gonna make you stand and deliver
And give me love in the old-fashion way woh
- Timon: *climb up a mountain* Darlin', I'll climb any mountain
- Fred: *act like a top guy* Darlin', I'll do anything. *spin*
- Pumbaa: *touch the grubs*

When the going gets rough
The tough get rough
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey
Oh baby
- Timon: *act like a businessman*
I'm gonna buy me a one-way ticket
Nothin's gonna hold me back
Your love's like a slow train coming, slow train coming *see a train cross by on the rails*
And I feel it coming down the track, woh *see a train crash on the rails*
- Monti: *climb up a mountain* Darlin', I'll climb any mountain.
- Pumbaa: Darlin', I'll do anything. *pass gas* Excuse me.
- Baampu: *tap on the ladybugs*
Oh, oh, can I touch you, can I touch you
And do the things that lovers do
Oh, oh, want to hold you, wanna hold you
I gotta get it through to you, oh
- Timon: *punch some sandbags of hyenas*
'Cause when the going gets tough
The tough get going
When the going gets rough
The tough get rough
- Monti: *tap on the grubs*
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, oh hit it
Oh oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Touch me baby oh oh
- Baampu: *climb up a mountain* Darlin', I'll climb any mountain.
- Timon: *swim in the sea* Darlin', I'll swim any sea.
- Pumbaa: *fly in the sky with a spirit of Mufasa in the sky* Darlin', I'll reach for the heaven.
- Monti: *dance with a female meerkat* Darlin', with you lovin' me.
- Timon: Oh oh.
- Pumbaa: Oh, can I touch you, can I touch you.
- Monti: Do the things that lovers do, can I touch you.
- Baampu: Oh, want to hold you, wanna hold you.
- Fred: I gotta get it through to you. *laugh*
- Timon: All together now! Let's go! *he and everyone flap into town*
When the going gets tough
Going gets tough
Going gets rough
Going gets rough
When the going gets tough
Going gets tough

When the going gets tough
Going gets tough
Going gets rough

- Duke Meerkat: Bravo, bravo, bravo. You are fantastic!
- Tatiana: Oh my gosh. Timon, Pumbaa, Monti, Baampu and Fred. I can't believe you. You guys are fantastic performers.
- Timon: We're the best of the best. The performances have paid off for the town.
- Pumbaa: We know what to do back at the Pride Lands now with King Simba.
- Fred: These guys get it.
- Monti: We really rock.
- Baampu: Woo! So much enthussism in them!
- Captain: I always believe in them.
- Timon: For now on, when the going get tough, the tough get going. We'll stand tough and fight back the predators.
- Pumbaa: Yeah. Nothing is gonna stop us now.
- Monti: My man.
- Baampu: You know their name.
- Duke Meerkat: Thank you for coming to the Meerkat Town to help all of our peers. You guys are free to come back any time.
- Timon: Don't thank us. Thank the Pride Lands for inviting us over.
- Pumbaa: We are sure happy to call ourselves life savers.
- Duke Meerkat: Life savers! I like it!
- Tatiana: Thank you Timon. You're our hero. *kiss Timon in the cheeks*
- Timon: Ah! *fell down*
- Pumbaa: Timon, Timon, Timon!
- Timon: I'm okay Pumbaa. I just got the cooties.
- Pumbaa: Ew. You know we really got to go now.
- Timon: Already?
- Pumbaa: Yeah. We got things to do back home.
- Monti: You're leaving already?
- Baampu: Aw, come on. We just saved the day.
- Fred: What about the grub shakes?
- Timon: Sorry guys. I love you, but we really got to go.
- Pumbaa: Our time is up. We learned a lot from here.
- Monti: What about the children?
- Baampu: And the fans!?
- Fred: And what about the jokes?
- Timon: No time for jokes. We've been here too long and Simba is worried sick!
- Pumbaa: We would have been back at the Pride Lands in a hour, but now we're going out.
- Duke Meerkat: Thanks for stopping by to learn the wisdoms. Mind as well take one last snack before your departure?
- Timon: Oh sure. We'll take some snacks from here! *eat some grubs and apples*
- Pumbaa: *eat some grubs and pears* Om nom! So delicious!
- Duke Meerkat: Don't talk with your mouth full! You should eat carefully and properly with your mouth closed, like a frog!
- Tatiana: He he he, I like their appetite a lot.
- Pumbaa: Hope on buddy.
- Timon: *hop on Pumbaa* Why you ask?
- Monti: I hate goodbyes, but we'll meet again soon.
- Baampu: Take care my guys.
- Fred: We'll miss ya!
- Captain: So long partners. See you soon.
- Duke Meerkat: Feel free to come back any time and roar with the Pride Lands!
- Tatiana: I'll see you soon!
- Timon: Goodbye Tatiana! Pumbaa, hit the desert!
- Pumbaa: Let's rock and roll! *run out of the town into the desert*
- Monti: There they went.
- Baampu: The best wise guys in the savannah of Africa.
(Timon and Pumbaa left the Meerkat Town as they run all the way back to the desert on their way home to the Pride Lands)
- Timon: Alright! The tough is going with the wild!
- Pumbaa: Woo hoo! Rolling in the sand!
- Timon: It's a desert out there.
- Pumbaa: All that energy in our tummies is making us run like road runners.
- Timon: Are you sure we look like road runners in here?
- Pumbaa: Uh... not really.
- Timon: Getting home to the Pride Lands won't take that long to get back before dark.
- Pumbaa: Hope we can make it back at Pride Rock by the time the Sun goes down.
- Timon: No time to stop the sand.
- Pumbaa: Rolling like the wind!
- Timon: *narrate* Can't you believe it Pumbaa? We just had a long day all the way to the meerkat territory.
- Pumbaa: *narrate* I feel like I had a little sunburn on my skin and smell like bacon.
- Timon: *narrate* No you don't. When you learn something new, you always keep learning it and using it for the coming years.
- Pumbaa: *narrate* Just like the old saying. Heroes never quit. When the tough get going, the tough get going!
