It was a sunny afternoon at the Tree of Life. But it was not just any afternoon. It was Kopa and Vitani's wedding.

This was the first wedding the Tree of Life had held since Kion and Rani's. Everyone was happy, and glad for the bride and groom.

The ceremony was now over, and everyone was talking. They all came by Kopa and Vitani to congratulate them.

Soon, two special lionesses made their way towards their grandson. They were Sarabi and Sarafina, the mothers of Simba and Nala.

Kopa noticed his grandmothers right away. Him and Vitani walked up to them.

"Congratulations, Kopa," Sarafina told her grandson, with a smile. "Thank you, Grandmother Sarafina." Kopa smiled back.

"We're so proud of you," Sarabi said. "I'm glad you two have come this far."

"Thank you, Grandmother Sarabi," Kopa said. "We appreciate all the kind regards," Vitani said.

"I hope you have happiness in your new life together," Sarafina said. "We will," Kopa said, with a smile towards his new bride.

"Take care of my grandson now," Sarabi told the young lioness. "I will," Vitani smiled, as Kopa nuzzled her.

The two were beckoned by some of their friends to come by them, so Kopa and Vitani went by them.

Sarabi sighed and smiled. "Seeing my grandchildren marry reminds me of when I married Mufasa."

"I know," Sarafina replied. "I know how you feel."

They smiled at each other, and Sarafina nuzzled her friend. They watched all their grandchildren with pride.

Soon, it was time to go home, as the journey to the Pride Lands would awhile. It was night by the time Simba's pride had left, and it took them several weeks to return home.

The happiness everyone felt at Kopa and Vitani's wedding did not fade as soon as the pride returned home. Everyone was still congratulating them, although Vitani was embarrassed after a while.

When the pride returned home, the sun was setting. Its golden rays reflected on the face of every lion.

Sarabi climbed onto a large rock. She was now the oldest lion in the pride, with Sarafina, but she still had much of her strength.

She looked up at the sun and all its beauty, and watched pink clouds dance slowly across the sky.

Her gaze fell to all the lion couples nearby, who exchanged nuzzles and smiles.

"Mufasa..." she whispered.

A breeze occurred, and with it came leaves of all colors. They swirled around Sarabi as she looked at the sky.

Tears came to the lioness' eyes as the leaves encompassed her.

Somehow, Sarabi felt closer to Mufasa than ever.

The End.
