It was a peaceful day in the Pridelands.

The Lion Guard was patrolling Kilio Valley.

"How's Mari?" Fuli asked.

"She wants the Dry Season to end." Kion said.

Fuli chuckled.

"It won't be much longer." She said warmly.

"Newleaf is on the way." Ono added.

Kion nodded.

He glanced at Ono.

Ono nodded, and took to the sky.

He returned a moment later, and settled down on Beshte's back.

"It's all clear." Ono said.

"Thanks, Ono." Beshte said.

Kion rubbed his muzzle against Fuli's cheek.

"I have to go. Tani wants to spend time with me." He said.

Fuli nodded.

"Have a good time." Fuli said.

Kion turned, and bounded off.

When he reached the Meadow, he saw Vitani settled down underneath the baobab tree.

He padded forward, and stretched to nuzzle Vitani's cheek.

"Hi Tani." Kion said.

Vitani's expression softened.

"Hi, Kion" Vitani said.

Kion crawled into her paws, and nestled against her.

”Did you have a good patrol?” Vitani asked.

Kion nodded.

He pressed himself against Vitani's pelt.

"How was the hunt?" Kion asked.

"It was fine" Vitani said.

"I need to ask you something." Kion said.

"What is it?" Vitani asked.

"Do I still have your support?" Kion answered.

Vitani rubbed a paw against his cheek.

"You always will. I love you, Kion." She said.

"I love you too." Kion purred.

Meanwhile, Kenai and Kia had met up with Bemba inside the den.

They were settled down amongst the moss.

"Zuri didn't join the morning hunt." Kia said.

Kenai sighed.

"Gran says she's still grieving." He said.

Bemba nodded.

"It's best for her to grieve in the safety of Pride Rock." She explained.

Kia pressed herself against Bemba's pelt.

”I wish we could help her.” Kia said.

”I know, sweetheart.” Bemba said.
