It was a peaceful day in the Pridelands.
Kion and his friends were patrolling Kilio Valley.
“How's your family, Kion?" Beshte asked.
"Everyone's fine." Kion said.
Kion glanced at Ono.
Ono nodded, and took to the sky.
He returned a moment later, and settled down on Beshte's back.
"It's all clear." Ono said.
"Great job, Ono." Beshte said.
Kion cleared his throat.
“I need to go. Zuri wants to spend time with me.” Kion said.
Fuli’s expression softened.
“Have a good time.” Fuli said.
Kion turned, and bounded off.
When he reached Pride Rock, he saw Zuri settled down outside the den.
Kion padded forward, and stretched to nuzzle Zuri’s cheek.
“Hi Zuri.” Kion said.
Zuri’s expression softened.
“Hi Kion.” Zuri said.
Kion crawled into Zuri’s paws, and nestled against her.
“Did you have a good patrol?” Zuri asked.
Kion nodded.
“How are you feeling?” Kion asked.
Zuri sighed.
“I miss him so much.” Zuri said.
Kion’s expression softened.
“I miss him too.” Kion said.
He pressed himself against Zuri’s pelt.
“I love you, Zuri.” Kion said.
Zuri rubbed a paw against Kion’s cheek.
“I love you too, sweetheart.” Zuri answered.
Meanwhile, Simba and Nala had met up at the Meadow.
They were settled down underneath the baobab tree.
"How was the hunt?" Simba asked.
"It was fine." Nala answered.
Simba leaned over, and nuzzled Nala’s cheek.
“I love you.” Simba said.
Nala’s expression softened.
“I love you too.” Nala said.
