It was a beautiful day in the Pridelands.
The Lion Guard was patrolling Kilio Valley.
"What's Mari doing today?" Fuli asked.
"She's with Dad and Nita" Kion answered.
He glanced at Ono.
Ono nodded, and took to the sky.
He returned a moment later, and settled down on Beshte's back.
"It's all clear" Ono said.
"Thanks Ono" Fuli said warmly.
Meanwhile, Simba had met up with Nita and Mari inside the den.
They were settled down amongst the moss.
"Did you join the patrol, Mari?" Nita asked.
Mari nodded.
She nestled closer to Simba's pelt.
"I love you, Papa" Marigold said.
Simba's expression softened.
"I love you both very much" Simba said.
Nita pressed herself against Simba’s pelt.
”I need to ask you something.” Nita said.
”What is it?” Simba prompted.
"Do I still have your support?" Nita asked.
Simba nodded.
"You always will." He said.
"What about me?" Mari asked.
Simba chuckled.
"You will too" he said.
Meanwhile, Kovu and Kiara had met up at the Meadow.
They were settled down underneath the baobab tree.
"How was the hunt?" Kovu asked.
"It was fine" Kiara said.
She rubbed her muzzle against Kovu's cheek.
"Did Mari join the patrol?" Kiara asked.
Kovu nodded.
"She's growing up so fast" Kovu said warmly.
"I know" Kiara said.
