It was a peaceful day in the Pridelands.
Kion had met up with Matembo at Kilio Valley.
“How are your friends?” Matembo asked.
“They’re fine.” Kion said.
He pressed himself against Matembo’s foreleg.
“I love you.” Kion said.
Matembo’s expression softened.
“I love you too.” She said warmly.
She pressed her trunk against Kion’s cheek.
“How is Kiara?” Matembo asked.
“She’s fine. She’ll visit you soon.” Kion said.
Matembo leaned down, and pressed her cheek against Kion’s.
“I’m looking forward to Kupatana.” She said.
Kion nodded.
“I am too.” Kion said.
Meanwhile, Simba and Nala had met up at the Meadow.
They were settled down underneath the baobab tree.
"How was the hunt?" Simba asked.
"It was fine." Nala answered.
Meanwhile, Nita had met up with Rafiki at his tree.
She was helping him sort borage leaves.
“How’s Makini?” Nita asked.
“She is fine.” Rafiki said.
