It was a beautiful day in the Pridelands.
The Lion Guard was patrolling Hapuna Valley.
"How's your family?" Beshte asked.
"Everyone's fine" Kion answered.
He glanced at Ono.
Ono nodded, and took to the sky.
He returned a moment later, and settled down on Beshte's back.
"It's all clear" Ono said.
"Thank you, Ono" Fuli said warmly.
Kion glanced up.
"I have to go. Kula wants to see me." He said.
Fuli nodded.
"Have a good time." He said.
Kion turned, and bounded off.
When he reached Pride Rock, he saw Kula settled down outside the den.
Kion padded forward, and stretched to nuzzle Kula's cheek.
"Hi Kula" Kion said.
Kula's expression softened.
"Hi Kion." She said.
Kion crawled into her paws, and nestled against her.
"How was the hunt?" He asked.
"It was fine" Kula answered.
She rubbed a paw against Kion's cheek.
"Did you have a good patrol?" Kula asked.
Kion nodded.
"I need to ask you something" Kion said.
"What is it?" Kula prompted.
"Do you still have faith in me?" Kion asked.
Kula nodded.
"I always have, and I always will." She said.
"I love you" Kion said.
"I love you too" Kula answered.
She glanced behind her.
"What is it?" Kion asked.
"Zuri's sleeping inside the den" Kula said.
Kion nodded.
He glanced inside the den, and his expression softened when he caught sight of Zuri.
”How is she today?” He asked.
”She hasn’t eaten much.” Kula answered.
Meanwhile, Kenai and Kia had met up with Bemba at the Meadow.
They were settled down underneath the baobab tree.
"How was the hunt?" Kenai asked.
"I caught a galago" Kia said.
"That's wonderful." Kenai answered.
