It was a peaceful day in the Pridelands.
The Lion Guard was patrolling Ukuni Woods.
"How's your father, Beshte?" Bunga asked.
"He's fine" Beshte answered.
Kion rubbed his muzzle against Fuli's cheek.
"Is Ameba doing okay?" He asked.
Fuli nodded.
Kion glanced at Ono.
Ono nodded, and took to the sky.
He returned a moment later, and settled down on Beshte's back.
"It's all clear" Ono said.
"Thanks, Ono" Beshte said.
Kion cleared his throat.
"I have to go. Kovu wants to spend time with me" Kion said.
"Okay" Fuli said.
Kion turned and bounded off.
When he arrived at Pride Rock, he saw Kovu settled down outside the den.
He padded forward, and stretched to nuzzle Kovu's cheek.
"Hi Kovu" Kion said.
Kovu's expression softened.
"Hi Kion" Kovu said.
Kion crawled into Kovu's paws, and nestled against him.
"How was your patrol?" Kovu prompted.
"It was fine" Kion answered.
Kion pressed himself closer to Kovu's pelt.
"I need to ask you something" he said.
"What is it?" Kovu asked.
"Do you have faith in me?" Kion asked.
"Yes, I always will." Kovu said.
"I love you" Kion said.
"I love you too" Kovu answered.
Meanwhile, Simba and Nala had met up at the Meadow.
They were settled down underneath the baobab tree.
"How was the hunt?" Simba asked.
"It was fine." Nala answered.
She rubbed her muzzle against Simba's cheek.
"I love you, Simba" Nala said.
"I love you too" Simba purred.
