It was a peaceful day in the Pridelands.
The Lion Guard was patrolling Hapuna Valley.
"How's Maple?" Kion asked.
"She's fine." Fuli answered.
Kion glanced at Ono.
Ono nodded, and took to the sky.
He returned a moment later, and settled down on Beshte's back.
"It's all clear." Ono said.
"Great job, Ono." Fuli said warmly.
Kion cleared his throat.
“I have to go. Tani wants to see me.” He said.
Fuli nodded.
“Have a good time.” She said.
Kion turned, and bounded off.
When he reached Pride Rock, he saw Vitani settled down outside the den.
He padded forward, and stretched to nuzzle Vitani’s cheek.
“Hi Tani.” Kion said.
Vitani’s expression softened.
“Hi Kion.” Vitani said.
Kion crawled into Vitani’s paws, and nestled against her
“Did you have a good patrol?” Vitani asked.
Kion nodded.
“How was the hunt?” He asked.
“It was fine.” Vitani answered.
Kion pressed himself against Vitani’s pelt.
“I love you, Tani.” Kion said.
“I love you too.” Vitani said.
Meanwhile, Nita had met up with Rafiki at his tree.
She was helping him count juniper berries.
“How is Mari?” Rafiki asked.
“She’s fine.” Nita answered.
