Baliyo's Admirers cover

Story[]

It was the wedding of Kopa and Vitani. The ceremony was over, and now everyone was chatting.

Two lionesses stayed together while everyone else congratulated the bride and groom. They were Tiifu and Zuri, friends of Kiara, Kopa's sister.

"I guess Vitani isn't so bad after all," Tiifu was saying to her friend. "Yeah, I guess." Zuri replied. "But I still can't believe how long it took to get here!"

"You're still stuck on that?" Tiifu laughed. "We made this same journey for Kion and Rani's wedding, and you didn't seem to mind too much then."

"Still," Zuri grumbled. "It seems like it took longer than last time! Probably just because the whole pride came along."

"I see your point," Tiifu said. "Ugh, now I remember when I fell and Dotty got upset at me..." Zuri started. "She's SO crabby all the time."

"Uh huh," Tiifu said. She listened as her friend started grumbling on and on about how annoying the trip was, how annoying some individuals were, and such. Tiifu just listened, not adding in any points.

Elsewhere, a young lion named Baliyo was heading over to Kopa. He wanted to get to know Kion, his brother-in-law's, brother a little better.

But he had trouble spotting him in the crowds. He looked around, searching for Kopa amongst many other lions.

Tiifu turned her head for a quick minute, still listening to Zuri's complaints. She noticed Baliyo standing by himself, and he looked at her.

Tiifu stared at the young lion, and he stared at her.

"I mean, I guess Kopa isn't so bad just because he liked Vitani more than me---" Zuri was saying, but got cut off. "Zuri," Tiifu said, still looking at Baliyo.

"Whaat?" Zuri grouched, annoyed to be interrupted. "There's a cute lion over there," Tiifu smiled. "He's all by himself."

"Where?" Zuri asked, looking around. Then she noticed Baliyo, too. "Oh, you mean that lion?"

"Yeah," Tiifu said. "I think he's Rani's younger brother. Didn't we meet him once before?"

"Uh huh," Zuri smiled. "What do you say we go over by him?" "Sure!" Tiifu said. The two lionesses walked towards Baliyo.

He gasped when he saw them coming towards him, not knowing why they came so suddenly. "Hey there!" Zuri said to him. "I'm Zuri, and she's Tiifu. What might your name be?" She blinked her eyelashes and smiled.

"Um, Baliyo," the young lion said. "Baliyo is my name."

"Such a unique name!" Tiifu said. "Didn't we meet you once before?"

"I think so," Baliyo said, watching in confusion as the two lionesses smiled at him. "Why do you ask?"

"Just wanted to make sure, that's all," Zuri said. Her and Tiifu giggled.

Baliyo looked at them in surprise. "So, what do you like to do?" Zuri asked, standing beside the young lion.

"Um, I like to hang out with my friends," Baliyo answered awkwardly. "And hang out with my sister."

"So do we!" Tiifu and Zuri said at the same time. They giggled instantly. "Well, other than the sister part," Zuri added. "Yeah, we don't have any siblings." Tiifu said. "But we're like sisters to each other."

"I see," Baliyo said, backing away. "Look, girls, I was kind of looking for someone-"

"No need! You have us to talk with!" Zuri said. "Yeah, who wouldn't wanna talk with someone as cu- I mean nice!- as you?" Tiifu asked.

Meanwhile, Baliyo's sister, Rani, Kion, Surak and Nirmala were all hanging out. Surak heard Baliyo's voice, so he turned to look and see what his nephew was up to.

He spotted Baliyo with Tiifu and Zuri, each lioness on either side of him. They were complimenting his freckles and his mane tuft.

"Huh," Surak said. "It looks like Baliyo has been noticed by some friends of Kiara's."

Rani looked with her uncle, too. "I guess Baliyo has his paws full for a while," she said, with a laugh. Kion, Nirmala and Surak joined her for a laugh, too.

"See? We both have freckles!" Tiifu was saying to Baliyo. "And your mane tuft looks so sheek!" Zuri said.

Baliyo was completely wierded out at this point. "I've really got to go, you two-" he kept trying to say, but Tiifu and Zuri seemed adamant on talking with him.

Soon enough it was time for Simba's pride to head home. "C'mon, you two!" Kiara said, noticing her friends.

"Byeeee, Baliyo!" Tiifu and Zuri said at once. They waved goodbye and ran off, giggling.

Baliyo looked at them in utter disbelief. Kion, Rani, Nirmala and Surak came by him.

"What just happened?" Baliyo asked Rani. His older sister laughed. "You've got some admirers now, Baliyo." She replied.

"Yeah, for real." Baliyo said back. His family laughed about the recent happening once more.

Tiifu and Zuri giggled about Baliyo all the way home.

The End.
