It was a peaceful day in the Pridelands.
The Lion Guard was patrolling Kilio Valley.
"Can I visit Mari today?" Fuli asked.
Kion nodded.
He glanced at Ono.
Ono nodded, and took to the sky.
He returned a moment later, and settled down on Beshte's back.
"All clear, Kion." Ono said.
"Thanks, Ono." Beshte said warmly.
Kion and Fuli bade goodbye to their friends, and headed towards Pride Rock.
When they arrived, Mari rushed to greet them.
"Hi!" Mari said brightly.
Fuli's expression softened.
She bent her head, and nuzzled Mari's cheek.
"How are you?" Fuli asked.
"I'm fine." Mari said.
Kion moved forward, and knelt to nuzzle Mari’s cheek.
"Do you want to hear a story?" He asked.
Mari nodded brightly.
She led Kion and Fuli into the den.
Meanwhile, Ayla and Nala had met up at the Meadow.
They were settled down underneath the baobab tree.
"Did you enjoy the hunt?" Nala asked.
Ayla nodded.
"I'm proud of Belee and Kia." She said warmly.
Nala nodded.
"I am too." Nala said.
She leaned over, and nuzzled Ayla's cheek.
"I love you, Ayla." She said.
"I love you too. I'm very proud of you." Ayla said.
"Thank you." Nala answered.
