It was a peaceful day in the Pridelands.
Kion and his friends were doing a patrol in Hapuna Valley.
"How's Mari?" Fuli asked.
"Would it be surprising if she wanted to see you?" Kion asked.
Fuli chuckled.
"Of course not." she said warmly.
Kion glanced at Ono.
Ono nodded and took to the sky.
He returned a moment later and settled down on Beshte's back
"It’s all clear." he said.
"Thanks, Ono." Fuli said.
Kion pressed his muzzle against Fuli's cheek.
"I love you." he said quietly.
"I love you too." Fuli answered.
Meanwhile, Kovu had taken Nita and Mari to the Meadow.
They were settled down underneath the baobab tree.
"Uncle Kovu, I'm glad we get to spend time with you." Nita said.
Kovu's expression softened.
"I'm glad too." he said.
Nita pressed herself against Kopa’s pelt.
"I need to ask you something.” Nita said.
"You can ask me anything." Kovu said.
"Are you proud of me?" Nita asked.
Kovu nodded.
"I’m very proud of both of you." Kovu said.
