It was a beautiful day in the Pridelands.

The Lion Guard was patrolling Ukuni Woods.

“How's your family, Kion?" Beshte asked.

"Everyone's fine." Kion said.

Kion glanced at Ono.

Ono nodded, and took to the sky.

He returned a moment later, and settled down on Beshte's back.

"It's all clear." Ono said.

"Great job, Ono." Beshte said.

Kion cleared his throat.

“I have to go. Kovu wants to see me.” Kion said.

Fuli’s expression softened.

“Have a good time.” Fuli said warmly.

Kion turned, and bounded off.

When he reached the Meadow, he saw Kovu settled down underneath the baobab tree.

Kion padded forward, and stretched to nuzzle Kovu’s cheek.

“Hi Kovu.” Kion said.

Kovu’s expression softened.

“Hi Kion.” Kovu said.

Kion crawled into Kovu’s paws, and nestled against him.

“Did you have a good patrol?” Kovu asked.

Kion nodded.

“Can we hunt together tonight?” Kion asked.

Kovu rubbed a paw against Kion’s cheek.

“Of course, Kion.” Kovu said warmly.

Kion pressed himself against Kovu’s pelt.

“I love you, Kovu.” Kion said.

Kovu bent his head, and nuzzled Kion’s cheek.

“I love you too.” Kovu said.

Meanwhile, Simba and Nala had met up inside the den.

They were settled down amongst the moss.

"How was the hunt?" Simba asked.

"It was fine." Nala answered.

She leaned over, and nuzzled Simba’s cheek.

“Belee wants to hunt with you tonight.” Nala said.

Simba’s expression softened.

“I’ll join the evening hunt.” Simba said.
