It was a peaceful day in the Pridelands.

Kion and Kiara were spending time together at the Meadow.

They were settled down underneath the baobab tree.

“How was the hunt?” Kion asked.

“It was fine.” Kiara answered.

She extended a paw, and Kion nestled against her.

“I love you.” Kion said.

“I love you too, sweetheart.” Kiara said.

She rubbed a paw against Kion’s cheek.

“Dhahabu’s coming today.” Kiara said.

Kion’s expression brightened.

“Can we go home?” Kion asked.

Kiara nodded.

“Of course, Kion.” Kiara said.

She stood up, and nudged Kion to his paws.

They began to head to Pride Rock.

When they arrived, they entered the den.

Simba, Nala, Kovu, Zazu, and Dhahabu were settled down amongst the moss.

Simba glanced up.

“I’m glad you’ve come home.” Simba said.

“We’re glad too, Daddy.” Kiara said.

Kion’s expression softened as he caught sight of Mari sleeping in Simba’s nest.

He and Kiara moved forward, and settled down beside Nala.

Dhahabu’s expression softened.

“It’s wonderful to see you both.” Dhahabu said.

“We’re glad to see you too.” Kiara said.

Simba cleared his throat.

“I, King Simba of the Pridelands herby renew the water treaty with Queen Dhahabu of the Back Lands.” Simba said.

“I agree to the renewal.” Dhahabu said.

Kion leaned his head against Nala’s foreleg.

“I love you.” Kion said.

“I love you too.” Nala answered.

Meanwhile, Nita had met up with Rafiki at his tree.

She was helping him count juniper berries.

“How is Mari?” Rafiki asked.

“She’s fine.” Nita answered.

Rafiki pressed a palm against Nita’s cheek.

“Did you have a nice time with Makini and Anga?” Rafiki asked.

Nita nodded.

“They’re really amazing friends.” Nita said.

Rafiki’s expression softened.

“They certainly are, my darling.” Rafiki said.

Nita moved closer, and nestled against him.

“I love you.” Nita said.

“I love you too.” Rafiki answered.
