The Lion Guard: A Joyful Occasion

It was a beautiful day in the Pridelands, Kiara was pregnant with her and Kovu's first cub and she and Kovu were over the moon about it, Simba and Nala were excited to be grandparents and Vitani and Kopa and Clea and Kion were excited to be aunts and uncles.

Kiara was laying in the den when suddenly she felt a sharp pain in her belly, her mother had told her it was the sign her cub was coming.

"Kovu!" She called, instantly Kovu raced into the den, "Baby what's wrong?" he asked

Kiara smiled weakly at him, "It's time" she said.

Kovu smiled, "Are you sure darling?"

"Yes go get mom and daddy." Kiara said, Kovu pressed his muzzle to hers before doing as he was told.

When he returned Simba and Nala and Kopa, Kion, Clea, Vitani, Sarabi, and Sarafina and Rafiki were following,

Nala immediately went over to her baby girl and pressed her muzzle to her daughters cheek,

"My darling I'm so proud of you." she said tearfully.

Kiara returned her mothers affection, "Thank you mama." she said,

Simba stepped over and nuzzled his daughter, "I love you darling." he said, Sarafina and Sarabi nuzzled their granddaughter before ushering the pride out.

Kion crept forward, "Kiara can I stay?" He asked.

Kiara exchanged a glance with her parents who nodded, then smiled at her brother, "Of course my precious you deserve to witness the best thing that occurs in The Circle Of Life." she said echoing what her mother had told her at Kion's birth.

Rafiki stepped foward, "Kiara how are you feeling?" he asked,

"I'm ready to see my baby." Kiara said smiling,

"All right when I give the word push." Rafiki said placing his hands on Kiara's belly,

"and... Push." he said. It took three pushes but finally Kiara was holding her cub in her paws, he had Kovu's coloring but her eyes, "and another one." Rafiki said, Kiara pushed again, and was rewarded with a beautiful lioness, who had her coloring but Kovu's eyes.

"Darling they're beautiful!" Kovu said pressing his muzzle to hers before kneeling for a first look at his cubs.

Nala and Simba nuzzled their daughter before joining Kovu.

Kion slowly crept foward, Kiara smiled gently at him, "It's all right baby do you wanna hold them?" She asked.

"Can I?" He asked, Kiara smiled, "Of course sweetheart, just sit like me and mama, we will put them one at a time in between your paws." she said

Kion did as she said and Nala placed his niece and nephew in between his paws.

"What are their names?" Nala asked

"We're going to wait until the presentation tomorrow." Kovu said, as Nala lifted her grandcubs and put them back with Kiara.

The Royal family settled down and went to sleep.

In the morning, Simba, Kovu and Kopa were on the peak watching the kingdom while Clea and Nala were inside helping Kiara, and finally the three of them emerged, as Kiara was holding her daughter and Nala was holding her grandson.

Rafiki anointed and  lifted the lion up.

" May I present his majesty Prince Denahi." he announced,

The animals below cheered, "and her highness Princess Belee." he said, again the animals cheered,

From her spot next to Kovu, Kiara smiled with pride, when the ceremony was over they went inside and went to bed.
