It was a peaceful day in the Pridelands.
The Lion Guard was patrolling Kilio Valley.
"How's Basi?" Fuli asked.
"He's fine." Beshte answered.
Kion glanced at Ono.
Ono nodded, and took to the sky.
He returned a moment later, and settled down on Beshte's back.
"It's all clear." Ono said.
"Great job, Ono." Bunga said.
Fuli pressed her muzzle against Kion’s cheek.
“Can I visit Mari?” Fuli asked.
Kion nodded.
They bade goodbye to their friends, and headed towards Pride Rock.
When they arrived, Mari rushed to greet them.
“Hi!” Marigold said brightly.
Fuli’s expression softened.
She knelt down, and nuzzled Mari’s cheek.
“Hi Mari.” Fuli said.
Kion moved forward, and knelt to nuzzle Mari’s cheek.
“Are you having a good day?” Kion asked.
Marigold nodded.
“I’m really glad you’ve come back.” Mari said.
Fuli rubbed a paw against Marigold’s cheek.
“We’re glad too, sweetheart.” Fuli said warmly.
“Come inside and sit with me.” Mari said.
“Okay, Mari.” Kion said.
He and Fuli followed Mari into the den.
They settled down amongst the moss.
Marigold nestled against Fuli’s pelt.
“I really love you both.” Mari said.
“We love you too, darling.” Fuli said.
Meanwhile, Simba and Nala had met up at the Meadow.
They were settled down underneath the baobab tree.
"How was the hunt?" Simba asked.
"It was fine." Nala answered.
