The Jungle Heart

The Jungle Heart is a crossover fanfiction short written by MarioFan65. This short is a crossover with The Lion King and Koati, focusing with Timon and Pumbaa celebrating a barbeque with Simba's pride as Timon somehow got sucked in another jungle where he end up meeting Nachi, leading Pumbaa and his friends to go on a rescue mission. It was released on November 15, 2024.

(One day in the Jungle Oasis, the meerkats are living in harmony as well partying in conga lines, swimming in the water and swinging in the roots on the trees, celebrating their life in the predator-free zone. At a camping site, Pumbaa wake up on a nice morning, only to be disturbed by a hyped Timon.)

Pumbaa: *yawn and stretch* Ah. Yeah. Feeling the life of a warthog. I'm gonna feel so smooth like steak hams and cooked ribs.
Timon: *jump in excitement* Yahoo! Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy, today's the day!
Pumbaa: Whoa! Timon, calm down! Is there anything packing in our mail box?
Timon: No! Today's the day we set up a barbeque with Simba's pride. I'm so excited!
Pumbaa: Do we really have to start so soon?
Timon: It's the top of the morning pal. We gotta get on the ride! *jump around* Wahoo!
Pumbaa: You're very hyper today. Even on a bright morning.
Timon: Wait 'til Simba and his friends hear the sound of good news.
Pumbaa: Isn't it too early to wake up?
Timon: Nah. I'm already up. It is now early on the right time to wake up. Let's go see Ma and Uncle Max at the camp site.
Pumbaa: Never mind. *yawn and stretch as he get up* Good morning Timon. Let's go check out on your family.
Timon: Now that's the Pumbaa I want to see. *excited* Yippie!

(Timon and Pumbaa walk through the Jungle Oasis and they meet up with Ma and Uncle Max at the camp site for breakfast)

Timon: Hey-a Ma and Uncle Max.
Ma: Timon!
Pumbaa: We're here.
Timon: *hug his family* It's so good to see you.
Uncle Max: Oh sonny boy. You're on a roll this morning.
Timon: I'm so pumped up today.
Pumbaa: You guys got some things to do?
Ma: Nah. We're just working out things smoothly.
Uncle Max: Got a lot of chores to catch up.
Timon: Guys, the barbeque is today.
Pumbaa: Our friends from the Pride Lands are coming over.
Ma: Oh, you got some big plans for the barbeque?
Uncle Max: I'll go set up the campfire.
Timon: Our friends should be arriving in a moment.
Pumbaa: They always show up when we wake up.
Ma: You wonder when they’re gonna come?
Timon: In the morning, I guess.
Pumbaa: They’ll be here when they get to the logs and step on the ground.
Uncle Max: I’ll be holding on to my grubs when the family gets there.
Timon: Just the tip of the rock.
Pumbaa: Oh, Timon. Simba and his pride are making their way to the jungle.
Timon: Really? Already?
Ma: Well if they’re here, we should just see them.
Uncle Max: Family greetings.
Timon: Family greetings, Pumbaa. Let’s go.
Pumbaa: Everyone on board to the path.

(Timon, Pumbaa, Ma and Uncle Max walk through the path and meet up with Simba's pride on their arrival to the Jungle Oasis)

Timon: Hey hey hey. You all made it!
Simba: Hey-a you guys!
Pumbaa: Bunga!
Bunga: Pumbaa!
Timon: Look at you, you're growing up.
Bunga: Everyone thought I look like a bear.
Nala: We’re here for the barbecue.
Pumbaa: Well you came to the right place and we’re gonna rock on the show.
Ma: Oh, how much I love you guys so much.
Uncle Max: I haven’t seen your beautiful faces ever since our last vacation to Pride Rock.
Simba: Our neighbors like Leo and Mega are in charge of the rock for the day while we get to hang out and boogie woogie with the meerkats.
Timon: Bet they’ll get a free Timon and Pumbaa toy on their way out while holding their goodie bags with grubs.
Fuli: Really? All of this boogie woogie is making me remind of the baboons I have to deal with back at the tree.
Ono: As long they don't make a stink, I'm good.
Beshte: You never expect what to come first on the friend meeting.
Timon: We got a lot to prepare. I mean, we got big plans for today like fishing.
Pumbaa: We can cook up a lamb and a steak if you want cause, we are starving right now for some food.
Ma: I'm gonna go set up the campfire while you guys hang out.
Uncle Max: I'll assist Simba and the pride on the family fun zone.
Nala: Actually, we've been to the place several times and know where to go.
Ma: If you forget where to go, just give us a call.
Uncle Max: We'll always be there for you.
Kion: So, what's the plan for today?
Timon: You know the drill. Have some fun and rock on.
Pumbaa: We'll cook the barbeque in the afternoon. In the meantime, let's play!
Simba: It's jungle fun time!
Nala: Come on, let’s go.
Kion: Yeah!
Kiara: Woo hoo! To the pool!
Bunga: I'm gonna make a blast.
Beshte: I'll be surfing for a wave.
Fuli: Here we go again.
Ono: Sound like fun.
Timon: Let the lecture time begins.
Pumbaa: Showtime!

Timon: Man, that was fun. Who can't have fun on a lecture day?
Pumbaa: I even swim three laps today.
Timon: Three laps? How many did you really do in total?
Pumbaa: Ten.
Timon: That's more than three. You're in good shape, buddy.
Pumbaa: I'm tight as a log.
Simba: Thank you all for the invitation Timon and Pumbaa. I would never forget this special day of hanging out in this peaceful jungle.
Timon: Thank us for the hard work on this wonderful jungle.
Pumbaa: This jungle make me smile a lot!
Kion: The grubs taste so sweet. It make me wanna jump into the pool.
Bunga: I got a grub fever!
Ono: My wings are tight as a woodpecker.
Fuli: I ate so fast.
Beshte: You should have slow down when you eat, Fuli.
Fuli: How? I take my time when eating.
Beshte: If you eat too fast, it create a lot of negative effects on your body. It can make you breathe more air and cause problems.
Fuli: Come on. It's not like I'm gonna take my time eating a avocado for ten minutes.
Kion: Guys, no worries. No need to worry about eating measures and get with the fun.
Fuli: Yeah Beshte.
Beshte: Whatever. Sorry to bother.

Pumbaa: Timon? TIMON! Where are you? I gotta find Timon! I want my Timon!

Timon: What is this jungle? Where am I? Is this home?

Nachi: Anyways, who are you? How did you get into my jungle?
Timon: I can explain. By the way, the name's Timon.
Nachi: I'm Nachi. Some people say I'm Koati.
Timon: Koati, eh? So Nachi, what brings you to paradise?

Pumbaa: Wow.
Simba: Look at this place.
Nala: It's a cave full of wonders.
Kiara: Holy timbers. So many golden clues.
Nala: I'm simply awesome.
Pumbaa: Oh Nala. *walk around the golden blocks*

Bunga: We're taking all of these back at Pride Rock.
Pumbaa: Yeah. Show your moves! *bounce on a golden wall and accitienally trip some giant dominos as well open up a portal on a big bowl* Aah!
Fuli: The hole! That must be the reason why Timon fall out of the jungle in the first place.
Simba: This must be it. This is where we can rescue Timon from that strange world.
Nala: Like, how did Timon crash in another world like ours?
Kion: I had no idea. The only way to find out is to get there.
Bunga: To where?
Fuli: The hole where you're looking!
Ono: What are we waiting for? Let's go in.
Kiara: What leads to come with big mysteries.

Timon: Come on snake. You want some? Then you get some.
Simba: You step away where you come from and leave the animals alone.

Timon: We did it! We saved the day!
Pumbaa: Another mission outside of the Pride Lands is complete!
Nachi: Heck right.
Bunga: Zuka Zama!

Trivia[]

The title is based off the song "My Stupid Heart" by Walk Off the Earth and Lauv as a version of the song is covered as" The Jungle Heart", sung by Timon and Nachi's gang at the end.
It is the third Lion King crossover where Timon and Pumbaa are the main characters. The first being the Pat and Stan crossovers like Timon and Pumbaa meets Pat & Stan and the second being Timon, Pumbaa and the Penguins Learn About Memorial Day which is non-canon to the main timeline.
The song Pumbaa and his friends sing in the wonder cave is "Caribbean Queen (No More Love on the Run)" by Billy Ocean.
