Taruo as a cub.
The character history of Taruo. She has served in many headcanons and gone through several changes.
- She used to be the adopted sister of Uhuru, who was then a cousin of Kovu, Nuka and Vitani; thus, she was their adopted cousin.
- She used to be an Outsider, but showed neither joy in Zira's plans or opposition to them.
- She was the mother of 4 cubs, being much older than she is now: Kavu, Safi, Karla and Tani. One by one they were deleted, or their parentage was changed. Eventually, Kavu ended up being deleted (after switching parents two other times), and Tani, the only one who stayed, became Taruo's adopted daughter, then finally the biological daughter of Spotty.
- Her hair tuft was smaller, and she had white paws, stomach and tail tip. Her white socks almost went past her knees.
- She used to have green eyes.
- She was slightly younger than Nuka; now she is a lot younger than him, and from the same generation as Vitani and Kovu.
