Tapu is a male lion. He is the son of Kent and Cheena and the older brother of Gina.
He is a minor character in Legends of the Lion Guard.
Appearance[]
Tapu has light tan fur with a dark brown tuft on his head and on the backs of his elbows and tail, with a beige underbelly and paws, along with hazel eyes. He has dark brown spots on his back and his tail.
Personalty[]
Tapu is kind, loyal, strong, determined, and open-minded. He can be a playful type when it comes to teasing and playing with his sister and others. He can be protective when comes to his family and friends.

The New Heroes[]
When the Lion Guard is informed that Kiburi's Float is attacking Timon and Pumbaa at the watering hole, they arrive on the scene and are stunned to find two mysterious lions have already handled everything. They introduce themselves as Gina and Tapu, and while they are thanked for their help, some members of the Guard and Mhina complain about being replaced by them.
This grabs the attention of Nyata and Shupavu, who report this to Reirei's Pack. Meanwhile, the Lion Guard has just wrapped up a patrol at Lake Matope when they learn that Rafiki is being attacked by the jackals at Mizimu Grove, they head there, and find Gina and Tapu waiting. It is revealed that Rafiki has already defeated the jackals with his martial arts abilities. Both then apologize for making the Guard feel replaced, which they accept.
