It was a beautiful day in the Pridelands.
The Lion Guard was doing a patrol in Ukuni Woods.
"How's Mari?" Fuli asked.
Kion's expression softened.
"She's fine" he said.
He glanced at Ono.
Ono nodded and took to the sky.
He returned a moment later, and settled down on Beshte's back.
"Reirei's Pack is attacking Leaf at Hapuna Valley" he said.
"Let's go, Lion Guard" Kion said.
Ono led the way towards Hapuna Valley.
When they reached Hapuna Valley, Kion stalked forward.
"Reirei!, leave her alone" he called.
Reirei glanced up.
"I'm sorry Kion. Did I make a mistake?" She asked.
Fuli groaned.
"Go get Leaf" Kion said quietly.
Fuli nodded, and bounded forward.
She gently grasped Leaf, and moved to stand behind Kion.
Kion braced himself, and performed the Roar.
It sent Reirei and her family toppling backwards.
Kion watched them stumble towards the border, before turning to Leaf.
"Are you okay?" He asked.
Leaf nodded.
"Thanks Kion" she said.
"You're welcome" Kion answered.
Fuli set Leaf down, and she bounded off.
"Can I see Mari, Kion?" Fuli asked.
Kion nodded.
They bade goodbye to their friends, and headed for Pride Rock.
When they reached Pride Rock, Mari rushed out to greet them.
"Hi!" Mari said excitingly.
She rubbed her muzzle against Fuli's foreleg.
Fuli's expression softened, and she bent to nuzzle Mari's cheek.
"Hi, how're you?" She asked.
"I'm okay." Mari answered.
Kion moved forward, and bent to press his muzzle against Mari's.
"Did you have a good day?" He asked.
Mari nodded.
"Where were you?" She asked.
"We did a patrol" Fuli explained.
She bent to grasp Mari's scuff.
Kion led the way into the den.
They settled down amongst the moss.
