Smun is a male porcupine who works with Mama Binturong. He is the leader of his prickle.
He is an antagonist in Legends of the Lion Guard.
Appearance[]
Smun is a Malayan porcupine. His fur is black, his belly is gray, and he has large, sharp quills. His large nose is black, his ears are dark brown, and his eyes are dark purple.
Personality[]
Smun is crafty, clever, and smart. He is a loyal enforcer of Mama Binturong and will make sure anyone follows her will regardless of what they believe.
History[]
Legends of the Lion Guard: The Dark Prophecy[]
Mama Binturong announces that it's time for her army's first attack, but first, they must wait for an additional ally to arrive. Smun then arrives, and Mama introduces him, stating that he has the sharpest quills of any porcupine she knows. Ullu sees the army enter the Mountain Pass, and upon watching them target Cek's Flock at Winter Woods, she decides to warn the Night Pride; Rani recognizes Makucha and his leap. Once they find out everything, the Night Pride, along with Ullu, Kingiza, Mhina, and the Lion Guard, dash to Winter Woods and engage in a fight with the predators. After Mama Binturong is sprayed with Bunga's stink, she orders the army to retreat, and they run away from Winter Woods. Kion realizes that Makucha and his friends followed the Lion Guard as well, much to Rani's ire, and Mhina points out that they never asked to be followed by them or Reth's Pride.
Later, after capturing Bunga, Mama Binturong orders Smun and his prickle to restrain him and take him away. They successfully pin their quills against him and begin to lead him out of Bamboo Woods, but all of a sudden, Bunga unleashes his stink on the porcupines and Mama, revealing that the quills couldn't even penetrate his skin at all - meaning he was never properly restrained. He threatens to use his stink again, and shocked, Mama Binturong is quick to call a retreat. A few days later, as Mama rallies her army for their biggest attack yet, Smun says that they'll start with the monarchy and tells everyone to meet near the Tree of Life. When Chuluun spots Ullu and Orji spying, Mama Binturong pins Ullu down and orders Smun and Spike to incarcerate her. Obeying, they press their quills into her fathers, stripping her of her ability to fly, and Spike states that there's no way she's going to escape. However, Ullu surprises them by rotating her head a full one hundred and eighty degrees, causing both to freak out, and she flies away. Nervously, Smun murmurs that they shouldn't inform Mama of this, but she huffs that she is already aware. Smun and his prickle soon arrive at the battlefield and attack the Tree of Life's residents, but when Kion shows up, he uses the Roar to fling the porcupines onto Makucha's Leap, immobolizing them. Eventually, Kion forms a tornado and flings all of the predators far away from the Tree of Life.

- It is unknown what happened to Smun nor his comrades following the events of The Dark Prophecy. However, they will not be returning as antagonists in the series.
