Saumu's Pounce is a group of various felines lead by Saumu.
Saumu's Pounce is lounging peacefully within their camp when Reth enters, demanding a large portion of the territory. When Saumu refuses to give up his land to him, Reth calls for his pride to attack, catching the cats off guard. Pandemonium breaks loose as most of the pounce is injured and bloodied; Saumu is also notably knocked unconscious. Ullu and Cara notice the attack, warning the Lion Guard, Night Pride, and Kingiza, who immediately rush to Marsh Forest and join the remaining members of Saumu's Pounce who are still fighting. Eventually, their combined force makes Reth retreat with his pride, but not before he warns of their next attack being worse than ever. While speaking to Mufasa, Kion mentions that Reth's Pride attacked a pounce of cats - Saumu's Pounce. Later, Reth's Pride attacks Saumu's Pounce for a second time in the final battle for the Tree of Life, though they later chose to target other animals instead. Eventually, Kion rescues the Tree's residence by defeating the predators with the Roar of the Elders.
