Sarafina is the daugther of Udevu and Savia, the adopted cub of Doka, Sarabi's adopted sister, Sukumo's mate, the mother to Nala and Mheetu, the sister-in-law of Scar, Mufasa, and Sarabi, the grandmother of Kopa, Kiara and Kion and also the great grandmother of Petali, Kono, Chatatu, Dunia, Kidole and Haki.

Sarafina is a slender lioness with: cream fur, light cream muzzle, underbelly and eye rims, dark salmon nose, brown eyebrows and teal eyes.

- Her name is Swahili for seraphim.
- Her father and Sarabi's father founded a pride called the Sand Pride in the Sand Lands but a fire destroyed the land causing them to join Ahadi's pride.
- She never had feelings for Scar.
- When she was pregnant with Mheetu, she lied to Scar saying the cub was his to prevent her family from being harmed causing Scar to make her his queen and Mheetu the future king but eventually he found out that Sukumo was still alive and he had the hyenas kill the rouge while he killed Mheetu and dethroned Sarafina.
- She always puts her pride and family first.
- She was planned to be betrothed to Radi, who would eventually become The Bravest in Scar's Guard.
- She use to be best friends with Scar before she rejected his feelings for her.
- She meet Sukumo after he decided to come back to the Pride Lands since he left when he was a teenager and the two both shared a love for many things and eventually confessed their feelings.
- She died peacfully in her sleep due to old age.
- She was as good as Nala when it came to hunting, but due to old age worsened a bit.
- Just like Nala, she has colorless paws.
- After Savia died, Doka adopted Sarafina causing Sarabi and her to became very close just like real sisters and remained close since.
