Reirei is an adult female jackal that lives in the Outlands. She is the daughter of Juzijuzi, the sister of Mbweha, the mate of Goigoi, and the mother of Bila, Chaka, Checka, Dogo, and Kijana. She is the matriarch of a pack of jackals.
She is an antagonist in Legends of the Lion Guard.
Appearance []
Long-bodied and slender, Reirei is built to be sly, with a lithe build and sharp points. Her fur is tan, though her muzzle, paws, and underbelly are sandy in color. A thick black stripe runs up her back and ends over her forehead, and her tail is tan-and-black, tipped with tan. She has dual tan eyerims, with the top ones being darker than the bottom ones. She has a black nose and light tan-and-brown inner ears. Her chest and back marked with several paler spots, and her eyes are a dark olive green.
Personality[]
True to her species, Reirei is unscrupulous, traitorous, deceptive, clever, and sly, with no thought for other creatures. She is not above using her own children to get her way. Despite this, she treats her pups with an appropriate amount of affection and care, and expresses deep pride in teaching her children the two-faced nature of the jackal. Conspiring, duplicitous, and manipulative, Reirei is charismatic and attractive, so she can pull off an act of innocence until she pushes her luck too far. Despite, her scheming ways Reirei is also grateful to those who help her. Reirei is also known to underestimate her opponents. After she joins Scar's Army, she becomes more vicious, ruthless and violent, a demeanor which doesn't change after the army disbands.

The New Heroes[]
Reirei and Goigoi learn from Shupavu and Nyata that the Lion Guard feels replaced by two mysterious lions. They decide to take out Rafiki, knowing that he won't stand a chance against them, and they attack him at Mizimu Grove. However, their plan backfires, as Rafiki uses his sharp martial arts skills to send them flying away.
An Enemy In Trouble[]
Reirei, Goigoi, and Mbweha are looking for prey near Urembo River. Seeing zebras on the side, Reirei begins to cross a log despite Mbweha's concerns, and it snaps under her. She begins to get carried away by the fast current, and Goigoi and Mbweha have no other choice but to plead for the Lion Guard's help. They find them and explain that Reirei is being carried away, and Ono spots her downstream. After they rush there, Reirei is furious at her kin for asking the enemy for help, but nonetheless waits while the Lion Guard attempts to save her. They drift into Big Springs, where Riptail is waiting. After the crocodile is driven off, Reirei leads her family back into the Outlands, scolding and making them vow to never ask for the Lion Guard's help again.
Legends of the Lion Guard: Battle for the Pride Lands[]
Reirei and her pack attend a meeting at Broken Rock, and Ushari orders them to attack Kion's blind brother, Nguruma. While she is hesitant at first, Reirei agrees to do it. Shortly after, the pack attack Nguruma, Hasani, and Shauri at Lake Kiziwa, but are confronted by Kion. Reirei tauntingly asks if they made a mistake, and Kion responds by roaring the jackals away. Later, the pack meets again with various antagonists at the volcano. Soon afterwards, Reirei's Pack gathers with various antagonists at the volcano, and listens as Scar laments upon another failed attack. He informs those gathered that the next attack will be on Rafiki and Makini, and when Reirei questions it, states that the two Mjuzis might sense his return. He orders Janja's Clan to stage an attack, telling them to take the jackals with them. When they arrive at Mapango Cliffs, the plan is discussed, and Reirei asks if the Lion Guard will just defeat them again. Janja responds that they can't let Scar down again, and Mzingo arrives, explaining that Scar had sent him to bring a gift of fire to Mapango Cliffs. Reirei splits up the two groups, ordering the jackals to attack from one side, and the hyenas from the other; they spread out.
However, Rafiki attacks the Outlanders, and with his fighting skills, makes Reirei call for them to regroup. The Lion Guard arrives on the scene, and Fuli charges at Reirei, knocking her towards an acacia tree. Eventually, the Outlanders are roared out of the Pride Lands by Kion. When Scar commences his war on the Pride Lands, he orders the jackals and crocodiles to conquer Mizimu Grove. They cross the border into the Pride Lands, which gets Zazu's attention, and he warns Simba, who tells him to inform the Lion Guard. Upon finding out, Kion assigns Fuli and Beshte to go to Mizimu Grove, but there, they become outnumbered. Zazu informs Simba, and he orders Jivin, Rani, and Baliyo to help them. They quickly arrive on the scene, and Baliyo and Jivin help Beshte fend off Reirei and Goigoi. Fuli points out that they've beaten them before, but Reirei responds that she wouldn't be too sure about that, and Bila collides with Rani. Shortly after, Reirei's Pack confronts Kion, Ono, Mhina, and his siblings at Chakula Plains, and Reirei comments that they look pretty easy to defeat. Kion responds that it's going to take more than that, kicking Goigoi away. However, Reirei and Goigoi pin Kion down, angering Mhina, and he knocks Reirei away. Kion says that if she wants a fight, she fights them all, which she is fine with.
Suddenly, the jackals are blinded by Azaad and Fuli's wake, and with them distracted, everyone rushes to Pride Rock. Later, Scar summons his full army in the volcano, revealing that Kion's forces is planning on invading the Outlands, and Reirei asks if that's a good thing. He replies that he wants the forces to think they're putting up a fight; Reirei questions what they should do, and Scar orders them to put up a fight, but not to stop the Lion Guard from reaching the volcano. In the Outlands, Reirei remarks that they'll give them a battle they'll never forget, and she lunges at Ma Tembo. However, she is knocked into Goigoi, Nduli, and Tamka. Eventually, the Outlanders retreat.
