The pack learns from Shupavu and Nyata that the Lion Guard feels replaced by Gina and Tapu, and upon hearing this, plot to take out Rafiki at Mizimu Grove. However, Rafiki quickly sends them scampering away with his martial arts skills.
Reirei's Pack is sniffing around for prey near Urembo River. As Reirei attempts to cross, the log under her snaps and begins to carry her downstream. Her kin find the Lion Guard and bring them to her, and she is soon rescued. However, Reirei is furious that her family would seek out the help of their enemies, scolding them as they return to the Outlands.
Reirei's Pack attends a meeting with other antagonists, and agree to attack Kion's blind brother. They soon attack Nguruma, Hasani, and Shauri at Lake Kiziwa, but the Lion Guard, Mhina, Anga, and Jasiri quickly defeat them. Reirei's Pack later meets with the antagonists again at the Outlands Volcano. After another failed attack, Scar orders Janja's Clan and Reirei's Pack to take out Rafiki and Makini at Mapango Cliffs. They close in on the mandrills, but Rafiki fends them off, and the Lion Guard joins in the battle. Eventually, Kion roars the Outlanders out of Mapango Cliffs. When Scar commences his war on the Pride Lands, Reirei's Pack is gathered in the volcano, and Scar assigns the jackals and Kiburi's Float to conquer Mizimu Grove.
Zazu sees them cross the border, and he tells Simba, who warns him to inform the Lion Guard. Upon finding out, Kion sends Beshte and Fuli to Mizimu Grove, but they quickly become overwhelmed by the combined force of the jackals and crocodiles. Zazu informs Simba, and he assigns Rani, Baliyo, and Jivin to help them. They arrive on the scene and charge into battle. Shortly after, Reirei's Pack confronts Kion, Ono, Mhina, and his siblings at Chakula Plains. Eventually, they are blinded by the wake of Azaad and Fuli, and while they are distracted, their opponents rush to Pride Rock. Later, Scar summons his full army, ordering them to give a good fight, but to not stop the Lion Guard. They are soon defeated and retreat.
