Rani is a female adult lioness. She’s the current queen of the Night Pride, daughter of Anada and Sahasi, mate of Kion, mother of Ari and Aagney, the aunt of Ani, Leah, and Chimba, sister of Baliyo, and niece of Surak. She currently resides in the Tree Of Life with most of her family. She’s a supporting character in The Lion King: The Next Generation.
Appearance[]
Infant[]
Rani had dark brown fur as a infant, however her fur was noticeably lighter. She had several spots on her legs and head. Rani had a red nose and a light brown underbelly.
Cub[]
During her cub years, Rani got darker fur and her head spots were gone. She also acquired light brown paws and the Night Pride mark. At The Battle Of Polar Bears, her parents died and Rani got a scar.
Teenager[]
Rani’s spots were darker and some faded away. After marrying Kion shortly after her teenager years, she got a blue mark across her head, known as “Leader Of Honor”. All the leading monarchies that this mark, such as Janna, Anada, and Rani.
Adult[]
Overall, Rani just looks like her teenager look expect bigger.
Personality[]
Rani is a serious, trustworthy, and honest adult lioness. She takes her duty as a queen very seriously, and won’t hesitate to hurt enemies if needed. She is kind and caring towards the ones she’s familiar with. Most animals that know the Tree Of Life look up to her, as she’s honest, trustworthy, and intelligent.
Igor has a hatred for Rani, and usually everyone who’s related to Rani or Kion. However, Rani barely interacts with him, and only interacts if needed.
Biography[]
Infant and toddler years[]
Rani was born at the Tree Of Life to king Sahasi and queen Anada. Anada and Sahasi were glad to finally have a cub after several miscarriages, and always kept a eye on Rani. During Rani’s toddler years, Anada was expecting yet another cub. She let Rani choose the name, and Rani decided the cub’s name would be Baliyo if it’s a boy, and Baijanthi if it’s a girl. Soon, Anada gave birth to a beautiful baby cub who was a boy, this meant his name would be Baliyo.
Cubhood[]
Rani loved playing outside with her brother, Baliyo. After Anada declared Rani was her heir, Rani started being more serious and played games a lot less. However, she kept her bond strong with Baliyo, to the present day. Sahasi showed her how to heal, just in case she needed to.
The Battle Of Polar Bears[]
One day, a sick polar bear family came in, unaware of their family’s dark past. The polar bear family’s dark past was the polar bears constantly hurting the Tree Of Life because of the polar bear family being enemies with the Tree Of Life for the assassination of Prince Arthit (who was stealing the bear’s meat for fun, not knowing the bears needed meat on the brink of extinction). Anada, knowing they were related, shut them out thinking they would hurt the Tree Of Life. Angered, Olga (the mother, name means “beautiful” in Russian) and her son Igor attacked the Tree Of Life.
Anada and the royal family were badly damaged, bleeding very hard. Rani and Baliyo were safe under a log, only getting two scars. Janna luckily survived with Nirmala’s healing, and so did Rani and Baliyo. However, not even the Tree Of Life magic could save Anada and Sahasi. Passing away slowly, Rani was determined heir, and Janna got her place back as queen. Igor and Olga were banished. Igor was determined for revenge once again.
Teenhood[]
As Kion finally reached the Tree Of Life with The Lion Guard, they got a unwelcoming welcome from Rani, thinking they were intruders. Noticing they were peaceful, Rani welcomed Kion and the guard to stay. As their visit time grew, so did the romance between Rani and Kion. Finally, after a battle, Kion left. Kion shortly came back 2 years later to marry Rani, his crush.

Rani currently resides as queen of the Night Pride with her family.
