A songfic about Kion and Fuli's wedding day

Premise[]

This a songfic story based on the beautiful marriage song of the same name from the 2004 stage musical The Ten Commandments: The Musical. In this story, the now-young adult Kion and Fuli get married in an evening ceremony at Pride Rock, presided over by Rafiki and joyfully watched by Simba, Nala and everyone else. Fuli sings the first part, while Jasiri and Honey sing the next verses. Lyrics are slightly modified from the original version heard in the musical. Due to being a young adult now, Fuli's personality has changed a bit, though not a whole lot. It is essentially a request to the great kings and queens of the past for a successful marriage for Kion and Fuli, despite the coming trials and tribulations of a young adult interspecies couple.

Story[]

Today was an evening of pure joy. Kion, leader of the Lion Guard and Tetrarch of the Pridelands, and Fuli, the fastest member of the Lion Guard, the first couple of their kind, were getting married. As King Simba, Queen Nala, Princess Kiara and Prince Consort Kovu, along with the others, watched, Rafiki presided over the ceremony. Fuli was moved by the deep emotion and music in her soul:

Fuli

Rain down stars

Let them fall

Like rain from the sky

With their light

Bless our love

Bless our lives

In our hearts

May this feeling last forever

Open the sky!

Open the sky!

Rain down stars!

Stars...

Rain down stars

Jasiri and Honey

Rain down stars

Let them fall

Like rain from the sky

Bless this night

Bless these vows of love

In their hearts

May this feeling last forever

Open the sky!

Open the sky!

Rain down stars!

Jasiri

Bless this lion

And bless his mate

Bless their family

Bless their lives

Bless their days

And bless their nights

As they sleep

And as they rise

Fuli, Jasiri and Honey

Open the sky!

Open the sky!

Soon, Rafiki declared the marriage official. A cheer rose up from the pride, and Simba and Nala were full of joy. Kion and Fuli walked down to begin their journey to Hakuna Matata Falls. They couldn't have been happier than then.
