Pride Landers are the inhabitants of the Pride Lands who are governed by a reigning monarch. They are ruled by the monarchy and policed by a divinely appointed group, the Lion Guard.
Makini informs the Lion Guard, Mhina, and Anga that the Pride Landers are beginning to adopt an anti-hybrid sentiment. Kion and his friends then reassure Mhina that they won't stop until the Pride Landers change their view.
On a calm day, the Pride Landers go about their business, and in the Lair of the Lion Guard, Bunga excitedly tells the Guard of how Pumbaa spooked the Pride Landers at the watering hole the previous day. When Zazu observes a strange herd of impalas approaching Mizimu Grove, he notes that they aren't Pride Landers. After Kuro asks who Scar is, Sokwe explains that they fought alongside the Pride Landers once they learned of his return.
The Pride Landers are trapped in several wildfires, located in Chakula Plains, Mbali Fields, and Poromoko Crevasse. With assistance from the Lion Guard, the Pride Landers are rescued and work together to put out the fires. Afterwards, they receive healing at Rafiki's Tree.
The Pride Landers gather at Pride Rock to hear the news of Scar's return, and are trained by Kion's Lion Guard at various locations in the Pride Lands. Meanwhile, the other kingdoms affirm their alliance with the Pride Landers, and begin training. Shupavu, noticing a demonstration between Kion and Simba, reports to Scar on the alliance, and he considers their uprising as a threat to his plans. When Janja's Clan and Reth's Pride cause attacks, a few Pride Landers help the Lion Guard handle them. After Scar commences his war on the Pride Lands, the Pride Landers gather at the base of Pride Rock. During the battle, the Pride Landers help to fight Kucha's Clan at Pride Rock, and meet Scar for the very first time after Mzingo ignites a fire. Minutes later, the Pride Landers are still in shock over Scar's appearance. Later, the Pride Landers participate in the final battle for the Pride Lands.
The Pride Landers gather outside Pride Rock to bid farewell to the Lion Guard as they head to the Tree of Life. Later, the whole of Simba's Pride gathers at Mizimu Grove for Amira and Koti'swedding. As Janna tells the story of how Askari saved the Tree of Life, Makini notes that the animals fighting during the dry season is like the dry season in the Pride Lands - the Pride Landers are always at each other's throats. Upon mentioning home to Rani, Kion begins to miss the Pride Landers. Weeks later, the Pride Landers are gathered outside Pride Rock when the Lion Guard, Makini, and Nguruma return to the Pride Lands; all of the Lion Guard members (sans Mhina, who is not a Pride Lands resident) soon return to their respective homes and settle in with their families.
