Plamu is a male violet-backed starling that lives in the Uotaji Woods.
Appearance[]
A brightly colored bird, Plamu sports shimmery deep violet feathers on his back, nape, mantle, wings, tail, and head. His undertail coverts, tibial feathers, underbelly, and lower breast are are purely white, while his lores, auriculars, and supercilia, are nearly black- several shades darker than most of the feathers covering his upperparts. His eyes are perfectly circular, bright yellow irises rimming large black pupils. He has a very slender build, with rather short wings and tail feathers. He has short, spindly gray legs and dark silver talons that are long, but very thin and fragile. Though his black claws have a sharp appearance, they are actually quite weak and cannot deal much damage.
Personality[]
Plamu is a charismatic bird with a colorful personality. He is intelligent, sometimes a know-it-all, though he tries not to be. He enjoys sharing his knowledge and is always willing to point animals in the right direction. He is an explorer at heart, wanting to travel the entire world. He believes that, as a bird, nothing can stop him from achieving this goal. He encourages animals to do the same thing, and is confused why some want to stay in the same place for their entire lives. Creative and thoughtful, he is also somewhat of an artist and has decorated the bark of the tree that his family inhabits with fruit juice. He deeply trusts his mate and does his best to help her out with the care of their egg. He is very excited to be a father. Plamu highly enjoys flying, especially with his mate.
History[]
Early Life[]
Plamu was actually born away from the Drylands. He liked the area but wanted to see more, even at a young age. As soon as he could fly, he was exploring the entire land. Once he was done, he wasted no time to bid farewell to his parents and leave to travel. However, he still visits them from time to time.
He found the Drylands and decided to stay there briefly. He did not expect to meet another of his kind, a kind female named Pichi. They quickly grew to love each other, and built a nest together. Soon, Plamu became the father of a single egg. The egg has yet to hatch.
