The Outsiders are a former villainous pride of lions that were deep loyalists to Scar after his death. Before changing their ways and merging with Simba's Pride, they were led by Zira.

History[]

Formation[]

The Outsiders initially lived in the Pride Lands during Mufasa's reign as members of his pride. When Scar took over following the murder of his brother, he gained their loyalty, and the Outsiders thus became a legion of his followers. Around this time, Scar became mates with the most devout of his loyalists, Zira, and bore one son with her in Nuka. Scar was later defeated by his nephew, Simba, who took over as the rightful king. However, Zira disputed this and fought Simba, still believing Scar to have been a valid king, ulltimately losing. As a result, Simba banished her, her son, and her followers to the Outlands.

Disbandment[]

During the final battle between the Outsiders and Simba's Pride, Kovu and Kiara taught both warring sides that they were one and united, helping the Outsiders realize the error of their ways. Despite Zira commanding one of her strongest warriors, Vitani, to attack, she refused and joined Simba's Pride along with the rest of the Outsiders. Zira, disgusted by the betrayal, would attempt to murder Simba, but was stopped by Kiara and subsequently fell off a cliff and into the gorge, where she drowned in a rushing river. The Outsiders were officially joined into Simba's Pride, leading to the end of the group.
