About her[]

Born the daughter of Sarafina and her mate Unathi, Nala came into the world around the same time that Simba did. As infants, the two lions were betrothed, and, as cubs, were best friends. However, that was destroyed when Scar murdered Mufasa and took the throne. Unathi did not believe Scar's story and confronted him. Scar told him that either he left the Pridelands or Nala would be killed. Unathi left, promising Sarafina that he would return. Nala grew into a beautiful young adult and, when the drought became unbearable and the herds moved to other areas, Scar refused to let anyone leave, and so Nala left to find help.

She found Simba in the jungle, and, after reuniting, their friendship became love. After the death of Scar, Nala married Simba and they had a cub, Kiara. Sometime later, they had a son, Kion, who went on to lead the new Lion Guard. He also took a cheetah named Fuli, his Lion Guard's fastest member, as his mate.
