Nala is a female lion. She is the mate of Simba, mother of Kopa, Kiara and Kion, and the mother-in-law of Vitani, Kovu, and Rani. She is currently the retired Queen of the Pride Lands.
Physical appearance[]
Nala is a beautiful lioness with blue eyes. She has a whitish colored muzzle, chest and stomach. Her ears are brown inside, and she has a dark magenta-colored nose. Her fur is a pale beige color.
Personality[]
She is portrayed as a kind and caring mother and friend. She is understanding and considerate and knows when others are feeling down. She is also dignified, and very regal. Nala is less overprotective of her children than Simba was during their cubhoods, and she knows when it's right to follow her heart.
Trivia[]
- Nala's name means "gift" in Swahili.
- Her eyes are green in some TLK scenes, which is why Kopa's original concept had green eyes.
- He now has blue eyes, because Nala's eyes appear blue most often.
- Vitani considers her a role model.
- Nala is a strong huntress and often leads hunting parties.
- Her and Simba were betrothed as cubs. They fell in love when they reunited many years later.
- Most animals in the Pride Lands respect her.
- Her other cubhood friends besides Simba are Tama, Kula and Chumvi, as well as Ni.
