Mzingo's Committee meets with Ushari and other antagonists at Broken Rock. When Scar commences his war on the Pride Lands, Mzingo's Committee is gathered in the volcano, and Scar assigns the vultures to set Kilio Valley on fire. Mzingo checks with his committee to see if they are all in agreement, which they are, and they fly off.
Zazu sees them cross the border, and he tells Simba, who tells him to inform the Lion Guard. Upon finding out, Kion and Mhina head to Kilio Valley, but they quickly become overwhelmed trying to fight the vultures and putting out a massive fire at the same time. Zazu informs Simba, and he assigns Kicheko, Kopa, and Tatu to help them. They quickly arrive on the scene, and while Kicheko and Kopa make fire breaks, Tatu distracts the vultures. Shortly after, Mzingo's Committee attacks the inhabitants of Acacia Grove, which is also on fire, and Fuli assigns Kion, Bunga, Beshte, and Jasiri to help her deal with them. Later, Scar summons his full army, ordering them to give a good fight, but to not stop the Lion Guard. They are soon defeated and retreat.
