Mzazi is a male lion. He is the mate of Hewa, and the father of Mboga and Ubaya.
Appearance[]
Mzazi has a light brown pelt, with lighter fur on his muzzle and underbelly. He has a brown mane, and reddish-brown eyes. As the king of the North Lands, he sports a ceremonial painted blue stripe on his forehead.
Personality[]
Mzazi is composed and resonable, with a strong understanding of the duties of kingship, a desire to uphold traditions, and an urge to protect the Circle of Life.
History[]
Backstory[]
Mzazi was born in the North Lands. He grew up to be very respectful and understanding of his future duties as king. When he ascended to the throne of the North Lands, he became mates with Hewa, and had Mboga and Ubaya with her. When Ubaya betrayed the monarchy and tried to take over the Tumaini Pride in Leopon Plains, Mzazi banished his son and grew estranged from him.

A Wonderful Royal Summit[]
Mzazi and Hewa arrive in the Pride Lands for the Royal Summit and are greeted by Simba and Nala. Simba tells them that it's a great honor to have them attend the summit, and Nala adds that they hope they had a safe journey, to which Mzazi replies that they did and are pleased to be welcomed here. Mhina and Kicheko bound up to them, inclining their heads politely to their grandparents, and Hewa nuzzles them, stating that it's nice to see them today. Mhina respectfully responds that it's nice to see them as well. When Kuro's Herd arrives unexpectedly at the summit, Mzazi stares curiously at Kuro and asks him how he knew there would be a gathering at Mizimu Grove.

Legends of the Lion Guard: Battle for the Pride Lands[]
Mzazi, as part of the North Lands delegation, arrives in the Pride Lands in order to hear urgent news from Simba, who wishes to have them escorted to Pride Rock. Kion and the Lion Guard take them to Pride Rock, and Simba leads then inside the den to discuss. Unbeknownst to them, Shupavu and Njano have reported their presence to Scar, who deems the news interesting. After Simba confesses that Scar has returned, the delegations are shocked and share glances with one another. When Scar commences his war on the Pride Lands, Mzazi is one of the many animals gathered at the base of Pride Rock. Simba assigns the delegations to protect the other territories within the Pride Lands, which Mzazi is quick to agree to.
