History[]

Legends of the Lion Guard: Protectors of the Pride Lands[]

The Pride Lands Games[]

Mshale and the majority of his Lion Guard represent team Back Lands in the Pride Lands Games. He watches his team participate in the swimming challenge at Lake Shangaza, and later takes part himself along with the other team leaders. Mshale participates in the remainder of the challenges, but to his horror, watches as teammate Okereke deliberately injures Bunga in the wrestling challenge. Stunned, he surrounds him, along with Simba, Nala, Chifu, and Wimbo. Mshale reassures Simba that he was unaware of this, and the king understands. Simba then disqualifies the entire Back Lands team, and Mshale informs his father that he'll decide what Okereke's punishment is, as he is a member of his Lion Guard. He decides to strip Okereke of his duties for three days, barring him from patrols and leaving Mirihi Forest, and Chifu adds that it is effective as soon as the Nyuma Pride returns to the Back Lands. The Nyuma Pride later shelters at Chakula Plains with Kubariki's Clan until they return home.

A Wonderful Royal Summit[]

Mshale, along with his Lion Guard, Ganda, Chifu, and Wimbo, arrives in the Pride Lands for the Royal Summit. Kion greets him and the Guard, saying that it's nice to see him again, and Mshale returns the favor.

The Ultimate Lion Guard Day[]

Legends of the Lion Guard: Battle for the Pride Lands[]

Mshale is now a teenager. As part of the Back Lands delegation, he arrives in the Pride Lands in order to hear urgent news from Simba, who wishes to have them escorted to Pride Rock. Kion and the Lion Guard take them to Pride Rock, and Simba leads then inside the den to discuss. Unbeknownst to them, Shupavu and Njano have reported their presence to Scar, who deems the news interesting. When Simba confesses that Scar has returned, the delegations are shocked and share glances with one another. Later, Mshale informs the Back Landers that his Guard will be training them for the battle against the Outlanders, assigning Soyinka and Ishi to train a team at the Iroko Tree while Okereke and Magoro train another at the canyons. Okereke disdainfully questions why they need to help the Pride Lands, and Mshale warns him that if he refuses to help their allies, he will be banned from Lion Guard duties again. After he and Magoro head away, Mshale asks if Bukali can train the birds, and she nods.

When Scar commences his war on the Pride Lands, Mshale is one of the many animals that has gathered at the base of Pride Rock. Simba orders him and his Lion Guard to help Bunga, Ono, and Anga at Chekundu Cliffs, and they rush there. Mshale says that they must help them, and turning to Okereke, he strictly warns him that he will temporarily lose his Lion Guard duties should he do anything to bring harm onto Bunga. The Guard charges into battle, and Mshale slams Kucha, but he is then knocked back by Kambu. Janja pins him down, and while Mshale tries to throw her off, her weight is too much. Janja taunts him, saying that he isn't so tough now, but Bunga charges into her. Mshale finally throws Janja off and pins her on the ground.
