This is the followup to Evening at Hakuna Matata Falls. It details Kion and Fuli taking up permanent residence in the Lair, while the other members continue to be visitors there. This is in Fuli's POV, and I am trying out a new way of doing this kind of story. Because of where it falls on the timeline, Kion and Fuli are young adults here.

Today's a big day
Kion and I are back from Hakuna Matata Falls
Oh wonderful it was
Time in a beautiful area
My handsome mate at my side
We deserved it
Now, Simba and Nala smile at us as we approach Pride Rock
Today, Kion and I take up residence in our new den
A den of our very own
It's not just any den
It is none other than the Lair of the Lion Guard
I smile at Kion
Perfectly fitting for the Tetrarch of the Pridelands to have a den such as this
We enter, following Simba and Nala
We have been here so many times
But this time is different
In a prominent place on the wall, Rafiki has painted a new painting
It's a painting of Kion and I when we became mates
I look to the love of my life
Memories of the past flood back
First, I see when we first met as babies
Me touching his nose out of curiosity
Next is when I became his girlfriend
After that is when I became the first member of the new Lion Guard
After that is when he asked me to be his mate
Finally, there is our mateship ceremony and our romantic night at Hakuna Matata Falls
I am amazed that Rafiki could even know what that was like
Together, we will make this our den of love
Now it is official
I am a princess of Pride Rock
The first cheetah to hold the title
