The Monarchy of the South Lands is the ruling body of the South Lands, led by a queen that has dominion over the territory.

The monarchy operates as an absolute monarchy, in which the current monarch exercises supreme governing authority as both the head of state and head of government. The animals of the South Lands serve as the subjects of the alpha lion, who, in turn, serves as the monarch.
Similar to a few kingdoms, the South Lands lacks a Royal Mjuzi and Majordomo.
The South Lands is the only kingdom to be entirely ruled by a singular monarch, that being the queen. Succession to the crown is hereditary, and the monarchy follows strict feminine primogeniture, meaning that only females will be selected to rule; males will be exiled from the pride once grown enough and others are forbidden from joining, only interloping with members to produce cubs. Succession may also occur due to a coup d'état.
The current monarch of the South Lands is Kabila, and her heir apparent is Tiifu.
