Note: INCREDIBLY OUTDATED PLS WAIT FOR THIS TO BE REWRITTEN

On a peaceful day in the Pride Lands, the Lion Guard was doing a patrol in Ndefu Grove.

“Do you think something's going to happen today?” Bunga asked.

“I don't know, Little B. It's been pretty quiet lately.” Beshte said.

“Yeah. It has.” Fuli said.

Suddenly, Ono landed on Beshte's back.

“Zazu's flying towards us. Mhina's with him.” Ono said.

Instantly, Kion's expression brightened.

“I was hoping Mhina would visit today.” Kion said brightly.

He watched as Zazu and Mhina approached.

“Hi Kion.” Mhina said.

“Hi Mhina.” Kion said excitedly.

Zazu cleared his throat.

“Mhina's here to visit until sundown.” Zazu said.

“Thanks for bringing him to us, Zazu.” Kion said.

“You're welcome. Now, I'm expected at Pride Rock, I'm due to give the morning report.” Zazu said.

“See you later, Zazu.” Beshte said.

Kion watched Zazu fly towards Pride Rock.

He glanced at Mhina, and shifted his paws.

“Do you want to join the patrol?” Kion asked.

“Of course.” Mhina said.

“Come on, let's go. We'll patrol Chakula Plains.” Kion said.

As they headed towards Chakula Plains, Mhina bounded forward to walk beside Kion.

“On the way over here, Zazu told me that Sakina and Amun were visiting the Pride Lands today.” Mhina said.

“Who are Sakina and Amun?” Bunga asked

“They're two jaglions. They've done legendary feats. Mom and Dad used to tell me stories about all they've done.” Mhina said.

“Like what?” Ono asked.

“Seasons ago, it's been said that Sakina and Amun stopped a vicious hyena invasion from taking over Leopon Plains. They've also saved a group of klipspringers and hyraxes from a flash flood.” Mhina said.

“Wow. That is pretty impressive.” Kion said.

“Yeah. I've always admired them.” Mhina said.

Suddenly, Anga flew up to them.

“Lion Guard, glad I found you.” Anga said.

“What's up, Anga?” Ono asked.

“On my way over, I saw Uchoraji, Kuuma, and Mahuluti being attacked at Lake Matope by two jaglions.” Anga said.

Kion exchanged a glance with Mhina and Fuli.

“Come on, let's go.” Kion said.

“You can come too, Anga.” Ono said.

Kion lead the way towards Lake Matope.

When they arrive, they saw two jaglions cornering Uchoraji, Kuuma, and Mahuluti near the lakeshore.

Mhina's eyes widened.

“That's Sakina and Amun.” Mhina said quietly.

“Are you sure, Mhina?” Beshte asked gently.

“Of course I'm sure. There's cave paintings of them in the den at home.” Mhina said.

“Come on, let's find out what's going on.” Kion said.

He bounded forward.

“What are you two doing?” Kion asked.

One of the jaglions glanced up.

“My name is Sakina. This is Amun. We're simply here to experience the different animals of this kingdom, and create chaos.” Sakina said.

Mhina stepped forward to stand beside Kion.

Behind them, Fuli had led Uchoraji, Kuuma, and Mahuluti towards Beshte.

“All my life I've heard stories about the two of you. You've saved klipringers and hyraxes, and stopped a hyena invasion from taking over my home.” Mhina said.

“We're not those heroes anymore. We've realized it's more beneficial to create chaos, and eat anything we can get our paws on.” Sakina said.

Kion cleared his throat.

“Leave the Pride Lands. Now.” Kion ordered.

“Very well, we'll leave. But you haven't seen the last of us.” Amun said.

She and Amun rushed off.

Once they'd gone. Kion glanced at Mhina.

“Are you okay?” Kion asked.

Mhina sighed.

“I just found out my cubhood heroes aren't heroes anymore.” Mhina said.

Kion moved closer, until his pelt was brushing against Mhina's.

“I'm so sorry, Mhina.” Kion said.

“Thanks, Kion.” Mhina said.

Behind them, Beshte, Bunga, and Fuli exchanged an awkward glance.

Ono cleared his throat.

“We should probably go tell your parents about this, Kion.” Ono said.

“You're right, Ono.” Kion said.

He glanced at Uchoraji, Kuuma, and Mahuluti.

“Are you three okay?” Kion asked.

Uchoraji nodded.

“We're all right, Kion.” Uchoraji said.

“Thanks, Lion Guard.” Mahuluti added.

“You're welcome.” Bunga said.

Kion cleared his throat.

“Let's go, everyone.” Kion said.

He led the way to Pride Rock.

When they arrived, they saw Simba, Nala, Kohana, and Ayana settled down outside the den.

Sarabi, Sarafina, Hasani, and Amira were settled down behind them.

Simba's expression softened as he watched Kion, Mhina, Anga, and the Lion Guard approach.

“Everything okay, Lion Guard?” Simba asked.

“Everything's fine now, Dad. We just rescued Uchoraji, Mahuluti, and Kuuma from an attack.” Kion said.

“Well done, son.” Simba said warmly.

Behind him, Amira cleared her throat.

“Are they all okay?” Amira asked worriedly.

“Yes, they're okay.” Kion answered.

Behind Kion, Ayana had approached Fuli.

“Hi Fuli.” Ayana said.

Fuli's expression softened, and she rubbed a paw against Ayana's cheek.

“Hi Mari.” Fuli said warmly.

“I'm glad you're here.” Ayana said.

“So am I.” Fuli said.

She knelt down to nuzzle Ayana's cheek, and followed Kion, Mhina, Anga, Beshte, Bunga, and Ono towards the Lair.

Kion led the Guard, Mhina, and Anga into the Lair, and they settled down.

“How're things going, Anga?” Kion asked.

“Everything's been well,” Anga said.

“That's good.” Ono said.

Kion glanced up as Makini appeared at the entrance to the Lair.

“What's up, Makini?” Kion asked.

“Thought you should know that there's been chatter among the animals about hybrids. The other Pride Landers are saying they can't be trusted.” Makini said.

Kion and Mhina exchanged a glance.

“Maybe they're right. Hybrids really can't be trusted, if my cubhood heroes can turn evil, who's to say other hybrids wouldn't.” Mhina said.

“My family and the pride don't believe hybrids are dangerous. Dad wouldn't have agreed to the treaty if he did. We'll make the other animals see that too.” Kion said.

“Affirmative.” Ono said.

“Yep.” Anga added.

“Definitely.” Fuli said.

Beshte and Bunga nodded.

“How? How can you fix the errors of Sakina and Amun's ways?” Mhina asked.

“I don't know yet. But I won't give up until this is fixed, and the Pride Landers see you and other hybrids the way I do.” Kion said.

“How do you see me, Kion?” Mhina asked.

“You're smart, brave, and kind. You have the makings of a great king, and leader. Anyone would be proud to rule and fight beside you.” Kion said.

“Really?” Mhina asked.

“Absolutely. I'm already proud to call you my friend. We all are.” Kion said.

Anga, Makini, Fuli, Ono, Bunga, and Beshte nodded.

From the entrance to the Lair, Zazu cleared his throat pointedly.

“Lion Guard, I've got news.” Zazu said.

“What's the kerbubble, Zazu?” Beshte asked.

“There are two jaglions attacking Masozi at Urembo River.” Zazu said.

Kion and Mhina exchanged a glance.

“Sakina and Amun. We need to drive them out for good. They're just creating chaos.” Mhina said.

“Are you going help us drive your idols out?” Bunga asked.

“There's no question. My place is beside the Lion Guard. Sakina and Amun need to go.” Mhina said.

“Come on, let's go. You can take the lead, Mhina.” Kion said.

Mhina nodded.

He led Kion, Anga, Makini, Fuli, Ono, Bunga, and Beshte towards Urembo River.

When they arrived, they saw Sakina and Amun cornering Masozi against an acacia tree.

Amun glanced up as the Lion Guard, Mhina, Makini, and Anga approached.

“Look, Sakina. The real heroes are here.” Amun said.

Sakina chuckled.

“These little ones could never be heroes.” Sakina said.

“Wanna bet?” Bunga retorted.

Kion glanced at Mhina.

“I'll handle this, if that's okay.” Kion said.

“I trust you.” Mhina answered.

Kion stepped forward to face Sakina and Amun.

“You have one chance to leave peacefully. If you don't, I'll make you leave myself.” Kion said.

“We aren't scared of a little cub.” Amun said.

“You can't make us leave.” Sakina added.

Kion glanced at Fuli.

Fuli nodded, and moved forward.

She led Masozi towards Beshte.

Kion unsheathed his claws, and sank them into the earth underneath him.

He braced himself, and performed the Roar.

It sent Sakina and Amun flying backwards.

Kion watched them stumble towards the border.

He glanced at Masozi.

“Are you okay?” Kion asked.

Masozi nodded.

“Thanks, Lion Guard.” Masozi said.

“You're welcome.” Ono said.

Kion glanced at Mhina.

“Are you okay, Mhina?” Kion asked.

“I'll be fine. I do know one thing.” Mhina said.

“What's that?” Kion prompted.

“I may have lost my cubhood idols, but I've found new heroes to idolize, you and the Lion Guard.” Mhina said.

“Really?” Kion asked.

“Yes. You all deserve to be regarded as heroes.” Mhina said.

Kion glanced down, and shifted his paws.

Awkwardly, Fuli cleared her throat.

“I need to go. See you all tomorrow.” Fuli said.

“Catch you later, Fuli.” Kion said.

He watched as Fuli rushed off.

“I should go too. Come on, Little B, I'll give you a ride home.” Beshte said.

Bunga nodded, and climbed onto Beshte's back. Beshte began to head towards Hakuna Matata Falls.

“Matter of fact, gotta fly as well. There's this new lookout I wanted to scout,” Anga said.

“See you soon, Anga.” Ono said.

Makini cleared her throat.

“I need to go help Uncle Rafiki look for new herbs.” Makini said, and she rushed off.

Kion and Ono exchanged a glance.

“Mom will be worried if I'm not home by sundown.” Ono said.

“See you later, Ono.” Kion said.

He watched as Ono flew off.

Masozi cleared his throat.

“Are you coming home with me, Kion?” Masozi asked.

Kion shook his head.

“Go on, I'll be right behind you.” Kion said.

Masozi nodded, and began to head towards Pride Rock.

Once he'd gone, Kion glanced at the horizon, and shifted his paws awkwardly.

“I'm honored that you consider me to be your hero. I hope I'm worthy to have that title.” Kion said.

“You will always be worthy in my eyes.” Mhina said.
