Throughout Legends of the Lion Guard, various forms of medicine and additional remedies are used to treat injured animals. This is an image gallery of every herb used in the series, sorted by herbs, medical equipment, non-plant remedies, and poisons.
Herbs[]
The Blazing Star (also known as smoothstem blazingstar) - cures an unnamed, rare disease. The flower itself is very rare and can only be found at the Tree of Life.
Borage - produces high quality amounts of milk, quells fevers, and relieves tight bellies and chests.
Burdock root - soothes and heals rat bites, especially if they are infected; numbs the rat bite to a point where it cannot be felt. It is also good for other sores and infected paws. However, too much consumption can cause bellyaches.
Catmint (also known as catnip) - the best known cure for greencough; can also be used for whitecough. Too many dosages can be dangerous and lead to numerous health issues.
Comfrey root - repairs broken bones, soothes wounds, and can be applied for wrenched claws, itching, inflammation, or stiff joints. Can also ease stiffness in wrenched shoulders when placed in a nest and treats burns.
Feverfew - reduces body temperature for those inflicted with chills or fever and heals aches and pain. Also good to use for headaches.
Juniper berries - soothes bellyaches, grants strength, and helps with labored, troubled breathing. Can also used to calm animals.
Poppy seeds - helps animals sleep and can be used to soothe shock, stress, and pain. Not recommended for pregnant animals and should not be given to avoid affecting unborn children.
Tansy - cures coughs, wounds, and poisons. It can also prevent greencough and soothes throats. Pregnant animals should not be given tansy, as its contents can cause miscarriages.
Tormentil - can be applied to all wounds. Its roots can extract poison. Only found at the Tree of Life.
